  • SFF(solid freeform fabrication) is another name of RP(rapid prototyping). The SFFS for office type wishes to develop system that can produce small object such as hand phone, cup, accessory etc. with high speed, and also intend suitable system in office environment by compact design, and buy easily by inexpensive price. As can manufacture high speed in existent SFF process technology, representative process that have competitive power in price is 3DP (three dimensional printing) technology. The 3DP technology is way to have general two dimensional printing technology and prints to three dimension, is technology that make three-dimensional solid freeform that want binder doing jetting selectively on powder through printer head. We designed and manufactured SFFS for office based on 3DP process technology design and manufactured, and composed head system so that use 3 printer heads at the same time to improve the fabrication speed of system. We used printer head of INCJET company and cartridge used HP45 series model who can buy easily in general city. And we directly fabricated three dimensional solid freeform using developed SFFS for office type.

  • Tissue engineering is a research field for artificial substitutes to improve or replace biological functions. Scaffolds play a important role in tissue engineering. Scaffold porosity and pore size provide adequate space, nutrient transportation and cell penetration throughout the scaffold structure. Scaffold structure is directly related to fabrication methods. This review will introduce the current technique of 3D scaffold fabrication for tissue engineering. The conventional technique for scaffold fabrication includes salt leaching, gas foaming, fiber bonding, phase seperation, melt moulding, and freeze drying. These conventional scaffold fabrication has the limitations of cell penetration and interconnectivity. In this paper, we will present the solid freeform fabrication (SFF) such as stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS), and fused deposition modeling (FDM), and 3D printing (3DP).

  • Selective Laser Sintering(SLS) system consists of various element technologies. Main components of the system include a position control system, a speed control system of the roller, and nitrogen atmosphere furtherance for the powdered sintering. Other systems which make the core of the SLS system are build room and the feed room for powder epitaxial, a temperature control system, and a scan path generator for the laser. The powder material for laser sintering is necessary to produce prototypes in Solid Freeform Fabrication(SFF) based on SLS process. This powder material is sintered in powder room using $CO_2$ laser after spreading evenly using roller to reproduce mold via SFF. This study addresses an SFF system by using the SLS process which applies single laser system to enable manufacturing of 3D shape. And to evaluate applicability of the single laser system, experiments were conducted with optimal fabricating process.

  • It is possible to fabricate a three-dimensional (3D) shape using the solid freeform fabrication (SFF) technology. However, there are several problems in applying conventional SFF technologies to the direct manufacturing of a product. Hence, multimaterial SFF is gaining attention. Moreover, a 3D circuit device that is different from a conventional two-dimensional PCB can also be fabricated using multimaterial SFF. In this study, a hybrid system using fused deposition modeling and direct writing was designed for 3D circuit device fabrication.
