태양열 공기가열기의 흡열판 홀 배치와 형상에 따른 열적 성능에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Thermal Performance of a Solar Air Heater Depending on the Hole Configuration and Geometry in the Absorber Plate)

  • A series of numerical analyses was conducted to predict the thermal performance of a solar air heater depending on the hole configuration and geometry in the absorber plate. The planar dimensions of the prototype were 1 m (W) by 1.6 m (H), and the maximum air flow considered was $187m^3/h$. It was considered that protruding holes with a triangular opening in the absorber plate would invoke turbulence in the air flow to enhance the convection heat transfer. Six different hole configurations were investigated and compared with each other, while the hole opening height was considered as a design variable. Three-dimensional transient analyses were performed with a commercial software package on the airflow and heat transfer in the model. The numerical results were analyzed and compared from the view point of the outlet air temperature and its time response to derive the optimal hole pattern and hole opening height.

태양열온수기 시공설치 (Installtion of Solar Hot Water Heater)

  • 본 고에서는 우리나라 기후조건, 온수사용 패턴 등을 고려한 일반적인 태양열 이용사례를 사용용도에 따라 태양열 온수와 태양열난반시스템으로 구분하여 소개하였다. 일반적인 태양열온수기와 개념, 구성요소 등을 살펴본 후 각 종류별 작동원리를 소개하였다. 시공방법에서는 가정용과 산업용으로 구분하여 배관구성도를 포함하야 소개하였고, 설치전 여건 파악과 제품운반부터 조립, 배관, 보온, 열매체주입, 설치후 조치까지외 모든 과정을 살펴보았다. 그리고, 태양열난방시스템의 문제점도 살펴보았다.

냉매를 작동유체로 사용하는 태양열 난방시스템에 관한 연구 (A study on the solar assisted heating system with refrigerant as working fluid)

  • An experimental study was conducted to analyze performance of a heating system with variation of control logic of the system. The system uses a solar as heat source and composed with heat pump that uses R-22 as working fluid. The difference between the developed system and the commercially available heating system is working fluid. The solar assisted heating system which was widely distributed in the market uses water as a working fluid. It could be freezing in case of the temperature drops down under freezing point. The anti-freezing fluids such as methyl-alcohol or ethylene-glycol are mixed with the water to protect the freezing phenomena. However, the system developed in this study uses a refrigerant as a working fluid. It makes the system to run under zero degree temperature conditions. Another difference of the developed system compare with commercial available one is auxiliary heating method. The developed system has removed an auxiliary electric heater that has been used in conventional solar assisted heating system. Instead of the auxiliary electric heater, an air source heat exchanger which generally used as an evaporator of a heat pump was adapted as a backup heating device of the developed system. As results, an efficiency of the developed system is higher than a solar assisted heat pump with auxiliary electric heater. The merit of the developed system is on the performance increment when the system operates at a lower solar energy climate conditions. In case of the developed system operates at a normal condition, COP of the solar collector driven heat pump is higher than the air source heat exchanger driven heat pump's.

  • 태양열 온수급탕 시스템에서는 태양열 에너지가 집열판에서 획득되고 열매체로 전달되어 최종적으로 온수의 형태로 축열조에 저장된다. 본 연구에서는 상부 코일히터를 갖춘 나선재킷형 축열조의 축열성능 특성을 정확하게 해석할 수 있는 전산유체역학 모델을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 고려한 축열조는 벽면에 열매체의 나선유로가 형성된 맨틀형 축열조의 일종으로 시스템 설계 단순화, 저유량 운전, 성층화 촉진 등의 장점을 지닌다. 또한 축열조 내부에 추가적인 코일히터가 장착되어 축열성능과 성층화의 추가적인 향상을 도모할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 해석모델의 검증은 실제 태양열 온수급탕 시스템의 실증실험 결과와 비교를 통하여 수행되었으며, 온수의 온도변화, 열매체의 온도변화, 성층화 온도분포의 측면에서 잘 일치하는 결과를 얻었다.

  • This study was concerned with performance of 2 types of black painted solar air heaters, one is finned type better, the other is mesh type. The performance test of heaters was made under the different operating conditions during winter season of December in Seoul area. It was analized and discussed by comparing the overall efficiency of 2 solar heaters at the same mass flow rate and ambient temperature. Experimental results show that finned type solar heater is better than mesh type from the point of view of design and heat removal efficiency. Finned-type solar air heater supplies hot air up to 30 degree centigrade above ambient temperature with an overall efficiency of 47 percent whilemesh type was 44 percent.

가열 공기 유입에 따른 복합형 태양열 가열기 공기-물 제조 성능에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation of Hybrid Solar Air-Water Heater when the Heated Air is used as Inlet Air during Air and Water is Heated Simultaneously)

  • In this study, the performance of hybrid solar air-water heater when the heated air was used as inlet air was investigated during air and liquid were heated simultaneously. Temperature difference between inlet air and ambient was set as $0^{\circ}C$, $13^{\circ}C$ and $22^{\circ}C$ and it was maintained during the daily operation. As a result, thermal efficiency of liquid heating was increased when the inlet air temperature was increased and heat gain of the water in heat storage tank was also increased with increment of temperature difference between inlet air and ambient temperature. On the contrary to this, the decrement of air heating efficiency and total efficiency of collector was confirmed with increment of inlet air temperature and it is considered that heat gain of liquid side is lower than heat loss of air side that occurring by using heated air as inlet air of collector. So, from these results, maximum temperature that the liquid in heat storage tank can reach was expected to increase if the return air or any heated air was used as inlet air. But air and total efficiency of hybrid solar air-water is decreased, so using outdoor air as inlet air is considered as better way on perspective of using of solar thermal energy by hybrid solar collector. However, it is hard to conclude that using outdoor air is better than heated air on the perspective of energy saving of building because the performance of heat storage performance was increased even air and total thermal efficiency was decreased, so the necessity of more profound consideration about these result in further research was confirmed for putting the hybrid solar air-water heater to practical use.

복합형 태양열 가열기 열매체 동시운전시의 열적 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study for Thermal Performance of Hybrid Air-Water Heater Using Solar Energy during Heating Medium Working Simultaneously)

  • With increment on interesting about improving renewable energy efficiency, many research have been conducted and the research about hybrid air-water heater using solar energy that can make heating air and hot water has been conducted also. In this experiment, the temperature difference and thermal efficiency were investigated when two heating medium(air and liquid) was working simultaneously. As a result, thermal efficiency showed 44% to 88% when these heating medium was working simultaneously depending on operation condition and it is better than traditional solar collector. Also possibility of application into building equipment also was confirmed based on temperature and thermal efficiency. But necessity of additional studies about proper operation condition according to purpose of use and heat load was confirmed because change of thermal efficiency by air velocity and flux of liquid was shown a huge difference.

저가 Batch형 온수급탕시스템의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of a Low Cost Batch Type Solar Water Heater)

  • A low cost batch type solar heaters (capacity 200 litres) comprising horizontal tanks, which performs the dual function of absorbing heat and storing the heated water, have been designed and fabricated for the purpose of side-by-side testing. Experimental results have indicated that the sufficient hot water can be obtained in the early morning if the glazing is aided by a reflector/insulation cover. The water heater with best thermal performance such as type B supplied water at a maximum mean temperature of $46-49^{\circ}C$ in the summer afternoon and the temperature of $36-39^{\circ}C$ can be obtained in the early morning if insulation cover is used during night time. The equation has been developed for the prediction of hourly variation of the water temperature in the tank.

  • In this paper, study on performance analysis of bubble pump on the domestic solar water heater system is presented. Device of this experiment is consisted of bubble pump, solar collector and heat exchanger. At the mean time, this system have attached temperature sensors and pressure sensors at bubble pump. In addition, the flow meter was installed at outlet of heat exchanger. And then result of experimental study, average value of the heat exchange amount in heat exchanger was about 7.9kcal/hr, the maximum value of the heat amount in water tank($0.4m^3$) was 489.7kcal/hr and the maximum value of the mass flow rate in bubble pump was about $0.5{\ell}/min$.

  • This paper reviews the current status of R&D work on selective absorber materials. For the efficient utilization of solar energy, various types of selective absorber materials are being used for solar hot water heaters. Many selective absorbers which have been proposed and designed up to data are classified according to the absorption mechanisms. Temperature-time cycle method is often recommended for the measurement of solar absorptance. In addition, conversion efficiency of the solar collector with selective surface is compared with one with black paint surface.
