생태마을의 효과 및 보급에 관한 연구 -백암마을 사례를 중심으로- (A study on economical incentives and systems for promoting the eco-friendly village)

  • This research has been carried out to give economical incentives and to promote for the eco-friendly village. A standard model plan for the Korean eco-village has been prepared by systematically applying the results of the research to Boksoo village, which served as an exemplary model. Plans for promoting the Korean eco-village are finally derived after a series of theoretical assessment of conceptual propositions in harnessing natural elements well suited with man-made structures. The eco-friendly village that this study is to develop harnesses natural energy resources and establishes pleasant living environment for human. It minimizes the unjust load against nature and restrains the excessive consumption of irreplaceable indigenous energy and other natural resources on earth. Paraphrasing, the utilization of natural energy resources in the eco-friendly village features various schemes of the related technologies in energy conservation and exploitation of renewable energies including solar thermal, photovoltaic, daylighting, wind power and etc. The eco-friendly village would definitely make our world more healthier than before by suppressing the emission of green house gases from fossil fuels and ever increasing energy consumption.

염료감응형 태양전지(DSC)와 자연채광의 상관관계 분석-교육공간을 중심으로 (A Correlation Analysis between DSC (Dye Sensitized Cell) and Daylighting-Focusing on Educational Space)

  • Due to the large window area, the lighting environment of the educational space between the window and deep part of the room is not uniformly illuminated, and the phenomenon of glare is severe. For this reason, the daylight performance of DSC-BIPV windows was analyzed in order to improve the natural lighting in the educational sector. The method derives the correlation with natural lighting by measurement and simulation. Dynamic simulation confirmed that the average illuminance of the target space was higher at later than the early afternoon. The performance of natural lighting at 40% and 30% transmission of DSC has the effect of significantly reducing the amount of excess light in existing windows. Nevertheless, the actual average illuminance in all seasons corresponds to the standard illuminance of the educational facility, 300 Lux. In addition, the uniformity is also seen through the skylight illuminance ratio.

생태건축 0번지의 자연에너지 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Natural Energy Effect about the Address No.0 of Eco-friendly Architecture)

  • The Address No.0 of Eco-friendly Architecture offers unique experience for those who visit the place to envisage the future architecture where nature, human and building exist in harmony. It is open to the general public including the students of elementary and secondary schools. This house has been built to provide opportunities for the general public to experience eco-friendly architecture. It's floor area is 42 pyung($140m^2$) and the overall site has the area of 180 pyung($600m^2$). The following illustrates some of its prominent features : ${\bullet}$ Remodeling of a traditional Korean residence ${\bullet}$ Application of passive solar systems ${\bullet}$ Use of clerestory windows and daylighting systems(washroom and machine room) ${\bullet}$ Operation of solar water heaters with flat plate collectors ${\bullet}$ Construction of Biotop(small ecological world) ${\bullet}$ Water circulation for Biotop by photovoltaic(150W) and wind power(400W) generation ${\bullet}$ Outdoor hot water supplied by all-glass evacuated solar tubes. Through this Address No.0 of Eco-friendly Architeture conclusions are as followings. 1. The array of tubes in collector has the best nice in that the number of tube is nine and the tilt angle is the latitude $+20^{\circ}$. 2. The thermal performance of the all-glass solar vacuum collector was excellent than of the flate-plate solar collector. 3. The adaption of new small wind power systems to buildings were proved to produce a profit if it is considered the expense of environment improvement and the wind speed increasing according to rise of building hight.

광기능성 창호시스템의 동절기 채광특성에 관한 목업연구 (Full-scale Mock-up Measurement of a Double Glazed Window System Equipped with Sunlight Controls)

  • Besides genuine skin and clothes, it is called that building is third skin for us. That means the skin of buildings is the most important factor for our man-made environment. The issues in designing the building envelope include the insulation, infiltration, ventilation and bridging in windows. Getting light into the space safely and providing views to outdoor, additionally, are key things with the building envelope design. A deep-rooted preference for full view is still alive with large area of glass. Balcony expansion is legalized in apartment houses, which causes lots of environmental problems. Without balcony space, the adjacent space to unshaded window is exposed to the direct sun. A window can have many layers and the inner space can be utilized with an automatic blind system. Recently, the refurbished version of a double-glazed window system has been developed for the purpose of minimizing energy loss occurred around windows. For the better daylight control with equipped blind system, a set of adjustment technique of blind slats was tested in a mock-up building and recommended the detail operation. Not surprisingly, the optimized blind system can be oriented to enhance the uniformity in light distribution and direct glare from the sky as well..

염료감응태양전지의 광학특성분석을 통한 건축창호 적용가능성 평가 연구 (An Evaluation of Application Possibility of Window System in the Building based on Optical Characteristics Analysis of DSSC)

  • It can gain both the electric energy production and disperse of light at the same time if DSSC is applied in the building as window system. It means to help facade design and to be used in lighting, heating, cooling energy directly by applicating DSSC BIPV window that is possible to daylighting and materialization of color. For this, optical characteristics analysis that is basic step must take precedence. So, basic databases of DSSC are builded and optical performances according to the double and triple glazing are evaluated by analyzing spectral data of various colored DSSC. As a result, Green(4) has the highest visible transmittance that is 28.8%, and Blue(3) has the lowest that is 0.3%. And, in case of optical performance of Green(4) depending on the incidence angle, SHGC and Tsol are decreased sharply from more than $60^{\circ}C$. Finally, It is judged that Red(4), Green(1), (4), Blue(4) are suitable for application in office building because visible transmittance is high and solar heat gain coefficient is low relatively in spite of composing to double and triple glazing.

자연채광의 응용에 의한 합성조명방식의 시각적 쾌적성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Visual Comfort for Compound Lighting Control Method of Applied Daylighting)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the change of impression by comparing the uniformity lighting with the compound lighting. In previous study, we proposed a light controlling method to harmonize daylight from a window and artificial lights from a ceiling and obtained the results to support our method. We referred this method as the Adjusted Compound-Lighting Model (AC Model). The experiment is carried out with the scaled-models and mock-up spaces that were supposed to be an office space. One is lit by the uniform lighting and the other by the compound lighting in each experimental space. In order to present varying illuminance distributions, the two variables were used in this study. Subjects were asked to evaluate the point of difference by semantic differential rating on their overall impression after comparing with two rooms. The results showed that the impressions of compound lighting were more positive score than that of uniformity lighting on the items of 'dim-bright', 'dislike-like', 'artificial-natural' and 'closed-open', and that there was no significant difference in impressions between two spaces on other items.

지하주차장 빛환경 개선을 위한 광파이프 시스템의 채광성능 평가에 관한 연구 (Performance Assessment of Light Pipe System for the Advanced Luminous Environment of the Underground Parking Lot)

  • Use of daylight in underground space interacts with physiological need for human beings and provides relief from feeling secluded. Light pipe system can deliver natural light into the space where it is needed and can be used as primary or a secondary light source with benefits of energy, productivity and health. To use light pipe system effectively under various conditions, it is important to investigate the effectiveness of light pipe system with reliable monitoring protocol. This paper presents the results of light pipe system performance used in underground parking lot under different sky conditions. Comparisons were made between the illuminance standards of underground parking lot and the monitored data. The results indicated that adequate illuminance level was shown until 4.5m distance from the light pipe under clear sky condition. However, additional lighting device showed be used under overcast sky to meet the proper illuminance level.

자연채광 이용에 따른 조명에너지 예측방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Lighting Energy Prediction by Using Daylight during Daytime)

  • 주된 사용시간이 주간인 사무소 건물에서 주광의 이용에 따른 연간 에너지 절약효과는 매우 큰 것으로 나타나고 있다. 더욱이 주광의 효과적인 이용은 작업자의 쾌적감과 만족감을 증가시키면서 수적으로 작업성능 또한 향상시킬 수 있다. 주광의 이용여부는 건축설계의 기본요소들이 검토되는 초기설계단계에서 검토되어야 한다. 따라서, 본 연구는 초기설계단계에서 주광의 이용에 따른 연간 조명에너지 절약률을 예측할 수 있는 평가도구를 개발하는데 연구목적이 있다. 이러한 평가도구로서 본 연구에서 개발한 노모그래프는 편측창 모델사무실을 대상으로 인공조명기구의 소등률과 조절방식에 따라 연간 조명에너지량을 예측할 수 있다. 이 노모그래프는 디자인 초기단계에서 유용한 자연채광 설계도구로서 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 조사에서는 자연광(일광, 혹은 주광 : sunlight)을 도입하는데 있어 현휘(glare)나 강한 휘도군을 지양하고 하절기의 과열을 방지하여 쾌적한 생활 환경을 조성하는데 유용한 주광 제어 장치들의 종류와 특성에 대해 간략히 알아보고 이를 적용한 외국의 실제 예를 소개하였다. 특히, 미국 Utah주 Salt Lake City에 위치한 Johnson Controls사의 지사 건물은 자연채광의 한 방편으로 light shelf와 고창을 이용하여 에너지 절약과 실내 빛 환경의 개선을 도모한 좋은 표본이라 하겠다. 에너지 자원을 거의 수입에 의존하고 있는 우리의 실정을 감안한다면 우리도 이 분야에 대한 다각적인 검토와 연구가 이루어져 건물에너지의 절약을 꾀하여야 할 것이다.

  • In our former study, we proposed that the AC-Model might be applied to various conditions. And we also introduced the method for daylighting that it was possible to reduce discomfort glare and to improve visual impressions as the supplementary type and blind-control type on the compound lighting. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between physical elements and psychological evaluation of lighting space. The study was made using an full-size space, which were equipped with various luminaries. We investigated the relationship between subjective evaluation and characteristics of light distribution and showed the high correlation between the evaluation rating and luminance distribution over whole room.
