PV model is presented based on the shockley diode equation. The simple model has a photo-current source, an single diode junction and a series resistance and includes temperature dependences. An accurate PV module electrical model is presented, matching with boost converter MPPT strategy and demosntarted in Matlab for a typical general purpose solar cell. Given solar insolation and temperature, the model returns current vector and MPP.
In this paper, electronic-controlled power supply(EPS) system for solar cell characteristic is proposed to solve various problems and to achieve reliable experimental result on photovoltaic system. This system emulates the solar cell output characteristics, and it can substitute solar cell in laboratory experiment system. New model for solar cell is proposed to realize the EPS system for solar cell, which is based on the interpolation. Both simulation and experiment are executed to show the validity of the proposed EPS system.
The branch of electronics that uses an organic solar cell or conductive organic polymers in order to yield electricity from sunlight is called photovoltaic. Regarding this crucial issue, an artificial intelligence-based predictor is presented to investigate the vibrational behavior of the organic solar cell. In addition, the generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is utilized to extract the results. The validation examination is done to confirm the credibility of the results. Then, the deep neural network with fully connected layers (DNN-FCL) is trained by means of Adam optimization on the dataset whose members are the vibration response of the design-points. By determining the optimum values for the biases along with weights of DNN-FCL, one can predict the vibrational characteristics of any organic solar cell by knowing the properties defined as the inputs of the mentioned DNN. To assess the ability of the proposed artificial intelligence-based model in prediction of the vibrational response of the organic solar cell, the authors monitored the mean squared error in different steps of the training the DNN-FCL and they observed that the convergency of the results is excellent.

The most effective methods for utilizing solar energy are to use the sunlight and solar thermal energy such as hybrid panel simultaneously and to use concentrator. From such a view point systems using various kinds of photovoltaic panels are constructed in the world. However, there has not been a hybrid panel with a concentrator. If the sunlight is concentrated on solar cell, cell conversion efficiency increases and the temperature of the solar cell s increases. As the temperature of the solar cells increases, the cell conversion efficiency gradually decreases. For maintaining the cell conversion efficiency constant, it is necessary to keep solar cell at low temperature. In this paper, after designing a concentration rate for concentrating, we propose a model for cooling the cell and for using wasted heat. And, we compare it with conventional panels after calculating the electrical and thermal efficiency, using the energy balance equation.
Current characteristic curve of an illuminated solar cell was used to determine its reverse saturation current density ($J_0$), ideality factor (n) and resistances, by using numerical diode simulation. High efficiency amorphous silicon, heterojunction crystalline Si (HIT), plastic and organic-inorganic halide perovskite solar cell shows n=3.27 for a-Si and n=2.14 for improved HIT cell as high and low n respectively, while the perovskite and plastic cells show n=2.56 and 2.57 respectively. The $J_0$ of these cells remain within $7.1{\times}10^{-7}$ and $1.79{\times}10^{-8}A/cm^2$ for poorer HIT and improved perovskite solar cell respectively.
The simulation program for solar cells, PC1D, was briefly reviewed and the device modeling of a multicrystalline Si solar cell using the program was carried out to understand the internal operating principles. The effects of design parameters on the light absorption and the quantum efficiency were investigated and strategies to reduce carrier recombination, such as back surface field and surface passivation, were also characterized with the numerical simulation. In every step of the process, efficiency improvements for the key performance characteristics of the model device were determined and compared with the properties of the solar cell, whose efficiency (20.3%) has been confirmed as the highest in multicrystalline Si devices. In this simulation work, it was found that the conversion efficiency of the prototype model (13.6%) can be increased up to 20.7% after the optimization of design parameters.

Replacement of sensor nodes for monitoring a wide range area such as mountains and forests needs a lot of time and cost. Using new and renewable energy around them can maximize the lifetime of wireless sensor networks, in which solar energy is infinite energy source that is available in 365 days. To design these sensor networks, solar energy model is essential and to estimate and analyze the overall photovoltaic energy. Using this, we can figure out important data such as the size and performance of solar panel needed. However, existing researches for solar energy harvesting consider parts of many factors to influence the quantity of solar energy gathered. In this paper, we suggest advanced solar energy harvesting model considering angular loss (solar cell panel), overheat loss (solar cell), rechargeable battery heat and cooling for each monthly properties. From our experimental results according to outdoor temperature, panel angle and the surface temperature of solar panel, we show these impact factors are correctly configured.

The application of renewable energy in electric power systems is growing rapidly in order to make provision for the inequality of the climate, the dwindling supplies of coal, oil and natural gas and a further rise in oil prices. Solar cell generators(SCG) is one of the fastest growing renewable energy. This paper presents a methodology on probabilistic production cost simulation of a power system including SCGs. The generated power by SCGs is variable due to the random variation of solar radiation. In order to solve this problem, the SCGs is modeled as multi-state operational model in this paper. Probabilistic production cost of a power system can be calculated by proposed method considering SCGs with multi-state. The results show that the impacts of SCGs added to a power system can be analyzed in view point of production cost using the proposed method.
Solar energy has many advantage like as purity and infinity. Recently many researches about new energy source are processing in several places around the world. In this paper, the virtual implement of solar cell was proposed to solve the problems as reappearance and repetition of some situation in experiment of photovoltaic. To realize the VISC, mathematical model of solar cell for driving converter was studied and the buck converter were compared in viewpoint of tracking error of characteristic curve of solar cell using computer simulation. Also, Output characteristics of system analyzed through an experiment.
