국내 소프트웨어 사업자의 프로세스 기반구조 구축 및 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Construction and Improvement of Software Process Infrastructure for Software Firms In Korea)

  • This study was tried for the improvement of software process ability of the software firms, and analyzed empirically the impact that a software process infrastructure level influences on the software process level and process performance. The questionnaire were developed and data were collected from the process improvement correspondences or project quality managers of the 78 software firms. The result was shown that management-organization infrastructure was composed of software process improvement organization's role and activity, process standard and education, management system and supporting, management guides and procedures. And organization's standard development procedure or criteria, process asset, process support tools were included in technical infrastructure. This study provides that some components of software process infrastructure had an significant influence on the process level, process infrastructure management level, and software process performance.

  • 소프트웨어 프로세스는 개선되는 추세에 있으나, 그 범위나 접근방법이 제한적인 것이 현실이다. 따라서 소프트웨어 프로세스 기반구조를 구축하고 구축된 기반구조를 개선해 나가며 지속적으로 관리, 활용해야 한다. 그러한 기반 구조를 통하여 소프트웨어 프로세스 수행 능력 수준을 높임과 아울러 조직의 프로세스 품질 문화가 합치되어 더욱 소프트웨어 프로젝트 품질과 조직의 프로세스 성과에 향상을 미칠 수 있는지 연구되었다. 연구 결과, 소프트웨어 사업자들이 지금까지 구축된 기술 기반구조와 함께 소프트웨어 프로세스 관리 및 조직 기반구조를 구축하여 근본적인 소프트웨어 프로세스 기반구조를 갖추는 것이 무엇보다 중요하며, 소프트웨어 프로세스 기반구조의 수준을 높이며 지속적인 관리활동으로 이어져 진행될 때, 프로세스 수행 능력 수준이 향상되고 프로세스 수행 능력 수준 향상과 더불어 프로세스 품질 문화 수준과의 적합을 통하여 프로세스 수준과 성과가 향상되는 것으로 분석되었다.

SW프로세스능력에 관한 현황과 기업성과에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Research for the Software Process Capability and Organizational Performance in Korea)

  • Recently, increasing attention has been paid to building the software quality and software productivity due to ongoing software crisis. To overcome such problem, one of the many alternatives is to use the capability maturity model (CMM) suggested by the Software Engineering Institute(SEI), focusing on the improvement of software progress. This research is proposed the theoretical framework for CMM based on the previous studies, and review the status of software process on the software development organization. We then examine the impact of the software process capability on the organizational performance including financial measures and non-financial measures. Hypotheses on software process capability were tested 144 organizational units. The 62.5% of foreign companies are distribute to the second and third level, the Korean firms in this study are indicated the first level. Result indicate that maturity of software process may be served the key predictor of organizational performance, in particular the positive relationship between the software process and non-financial performance index such as customer service, IT Infrastructure, marketing, supplier and purchaser, production and operation.

SW 공학수준과 SW 프로젝트 납기성과와의 관계 (Evaluation on the Relationship between Software Engineering Level and Schedule Deviation in Software Development)

  • Recently, many software companies are trying to improve the software quality and project outcome with more costs and efforts in development time. In the software convergence and integration environments, it is required efforts to gain high quality of software. In other words, it is required to utilize software engineering knowledge and technology for higher software quality and better software project productivity. The Software development productivity can be varied by software process capability according to building a framework for software development, selection and use of appropriate technology, human resource management. Software process capability will influence software project outcome which is the general opinion. This study provides empirical evidence about software engineering efforts and investment approach to lead software project performance. We measured the software engineering efforts by SW engineering level and analyzed the corelation between software engineering level and schedule deviation. And, we verified that this performance is affected by the size of software company. As a result, software process capability is important to build a infrastructure and develop systematically software project. The higher software engineering level can lead to improved software project performance.

조직성과에 미치는 SPI 영향요인에 관한 연구 :조직 성숙도의 조절효과 관점에서 (The SPI Factors Affecting on Organizational Performance: The Prespective of the Moderating Effect of Organizational Maturity Level)

  • Software Process Improvement(SPI) has been a challenging issue to software organizations. The factors affecting SPI were analysed for improving software development processes. Numerous studies suggested influencing factors, and assessment models were utilized for software improvement. This research suggested that SPI factors affecting on an organizational performance may vary according to the CMM(Capability Maturity Model) level. The moderating effects of organizational maturity level between the SPI factors and the organizational performance were empirically tested. This research found that all six SPI factors except for the resistance to change affected the organizational performance. The moderating effects of management support, goal alliances, participation, and effect analyses were empirically supported. These results can provide several implications or a practical guidance to academic and industry professionals.

소프트웨어 프로세스 개선의 성공요인이 조직성과에 미치는 영향: 조직성숙도의 매개효과의 관점에서

  • Software Process Improvement(SPI) becomes an important issue at software quality. A research model is suggested on the basis of previous literature. The model includes success factors for SPI as independent variables and CMM levels as mediating variables, and defines organizational performance as dependent variables. This study basically investigates causational relationships among SPI success factors, CMM levels, and organizational performance through a structured equation model. A LISREL v8.72 for windows is used for statistical analysis. Even through success factors for SPI partially influences the CMM level, the CMM level is fully related to the level of organizational performance. The results show that the success factor for SPI in Korean companies are not equal to the factors abroad, but indicate that the CMM level is closely related to the organizational performance. These results will be helpful to academicians as well as to practitioners.

Process Improvement for Quality Increase of Weapon System Software Based on ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 Test Method

  • As the proportion of software in weapon systems increases, the impact of software on the overall system is growing. As a result, software quality management becomes important, and related regulations and work manuals for quality assurance activities at each stage in the R & D process are becoming more sophisticated. However, due to the characteristics of the weapon system software that is developed as a customized form for the purpose of a specific mission, there are limits to specifying and definitizing the detailed requirements (upper and lower level) according to various operational concepts during the development process. Due to this, software modification (patch change, shape change due to upgrade, etc.) occurs on account of many defects and performance improvement in the mass production and operation stage after the development is completed. In this study, we analyze the characteristics of these weapon system softwares and propose quality improvement methods based on ISO / IEC / IEEE 29119 test method.

  • IT 융 복합화와 소프트웨어의 역할의 급속한 확대되면서 많은 기업들이 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선에 관심과 투자를 늘려왔다. 하지만 이런 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선활동이 조직의 실제 성과나 프로젝트의 성과로 이어진다는 것을 보여주는 국내 실증연구는 여전히 부족한 편이다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선 모델들이 제시하고 있는 기본적인 가정사항인 소프트웨어 프로세스성숙도가 높으면 조직이나 프로젝트의 성과가 좋게 나타나는지를 살펴보고, 이들의 관계가 조직의 변화의지에 따라 달라지는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 총 104개 소프트웨어 프로젝트 데이터를 수집하여 분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과 소프트웨어 프로세스 수준이 높은 조직일수록 프로젝트 납기성과가 좋은 것으로 나타났으며, 조직변화의지가 높을수록 프로세스 개선의 성과도 높게 나타나고 있다.

  • Semiconductor chip encapsulation process is employed to protect the chip and to achieve optimal performance of the chip. Expert decision-making to obtain the appropriate package design or process conditions with high yields and high productivity is quite difficult. In this paper, an expert system for semiconductor chip encapsulation has been constructed which combines a knowledge-based system with CAE software.
