DVB-S2 offers various coding rate and modulation schemes. Therefore this paper proposes bit split methods to applying to multilevel modulation. Log-likelihood ratio method splits multilevel symbols to soft decision symbols using the received in-phase and quadrature component based on Gaussian approximation. However it is too complicate to calculate and to implement hardware due to exponential and logarithm calculation. Therefore this paper presents Euclidean, MAX and Sector method to reduce the high complexity of LLR method.
The Purpose of this study was to reveal the biomechanical difference of two soccer footwear(soft ground footwear and hard ground footwear). Secondly, the purpose of this study was to clarify how each type of soccer footwear effects soccer players, which will provide scientific data to coaches and players, to further prevent injuries and to improve each players capacity. The result of comparative analysis of two soccer footwear can be summarized as below. The comparison of the very first braking force at walking found distinctive factors in the statistical data(t=3.092, p<.05). Braking impulse of two difference footwear showed distinctive factors in the statistical data(t=2.542, p<.05). In comparing GRFz max(N), the result showed a statistically significant difference in the two soccer footwear at running(t=2.784, p<.05). In the maximum braking impulse(t=2.774, p<.05) and propulsive impulse for antero-posterior direction, there was a statistically significant difference between the two soccer footwear at running. In the maximum braking force(t=3.270, p<.05) and propulsive force(t=4.956, p<.05) for antero-posterior direction, there was a statistically significant difference between the two soccer footwear at running. Significant differences were not found in moment(rotational friction) with two difference soccer footwear(moment max; t=2.231, moment min; t=1.784).

In conventional boolean retrieval systems, document ranking is not supported and similarity coefficients cannot be computed between queries and documents. The MMM(Max and Min Model), Paice and P-norm models have been proposed in the past to support the ranking facility for boolean retrieval systems. They have common properties of interpreting boolean operators softly In this paper we propose a new soft evaluation method for web Information retrieval using local context analysis feedback model. We also show through performance comparison that local contort analysis feedback is more efficient and effective than MMM, Paice and P-norm.
Effect of sintering temperature and dusts content on sintered density ($\rho$) and magnetic properties were evaluated. Cores sintered at 1350 $^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour with the Fe powders containing up to 10 wt.% dusts showed a good AC/DC properties. For example, the DC magnetic properties of magnetic induction (B$_{15}$), coercive force (H$_{c}$) and permeability ($\mu$$_{max}$) of cores containing 10 wt.% dusts were ranging over 9.8~ 10.9 kG, 2.2-2.3 Oe and 1950~2050, respectively. These magnetic properties are equivalent to those of competitor's (i.e, Ancorsteel produced by Hoganas). The cores obtained from the present work are expected to apply for high-performance soft magnetic components such as automotive and DC motor.

Automatic modulation classification is a critical algorithm for non-cooperative communication systems. This paper addresses the challenging problem of closed-set and open-set signal modulation classification in complex channels. We propose a novel approach that incorporates a self-learning filter and center-loss in Deep Residual Shrinking Networks (DRSN) for closed-set modulation classification, and the Opendistance method for open-set modulation classification. Our approach achieves better performance than existing methods in both closed-set and open-set recognition. In closed-set recognition, the self-learning filter and center-loss combination improves recognition performance, with a maximum accuracy of over 92.18%. In open-set recognition, the use of a self-learning filter and center-loss provide an effective feature vector for open-set recognition, and the Opendistance method outperforms SoftMax and OpenMax in F1 scores and mean average accuracy under high openness. Overall, our proposed approach demonstrates promising results for automatic modulation classification, providing better performance in non-cooperative communication systems.

This paper illustrates the analysis and design of a multi-resonant converter applied to an electric vehicle (EV) charger. Thanks to the notch resonant characteristic, the multi-resonant converter achieve soft switching and operate with a narrowed switching frequency range even with a wide output voltage range. These advantages make it suitable for battery charging applications. With two more resonant elements, the design of the chosen converter is more complex than the conventional LLC resonant converter. However, there is not a distinct design outline for the multi-resonant converters in existing articles. According to the analysis in this paper, the normalized notch frequency $f_{r2n}$ and the second series resonant frequency $f_{r3n}$ are more sensitive to the notch capacitor ratio q than the notch inductor ratio k. Then resonant capacitors should be well-designed before the other resonant elements. The peak gain of the converter depends mainly on the magnetizing inductor ratio $L_n$ and the normalized load Q. And it requires a smaller $L_n$ and Q to provide a sufficient voltage gain $M_{max}$ at ($V_{o\_max}$, $P_{o\_max}$). However, the primary current increases with $(L_nQ)^{-1}$, and results in a low efficiency. Then a detailed design procedure for the multi-resonant converter has been provided. A 3.3kW prototype with an output voltage range of 50V to 500V dc and a peak efficiency of 97.3 % is built to verify the design and effectiveness of the converter.
Purpose: To evaluate the imaging findings of desmoid tumors using various imaging modalities and to evaluate whether diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) can help differentiate between desmoid and malignant tumors. Materials and Methods: The study included 27 patients with pathologically confirmed desmoid tumors. Two radiologists reviewed 23 computed tomography (CT), 12 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and 8 positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) scans of desmoid tumors and recorded data regarding the shape, multiplicity, size, location, degree of enhancement, and presence or absence of calcification or hemorrhage. The signal intensity of masses on T1- and T2-weighted imaging and the presence or absence of whirling or band-like low signal intensity on T2-weighted imaging were recorded. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the desmoid tumors in nine patients with DWIs were compared with the ADC values of 32 malignant tumors. The maximum standardized uptake value ($SUV_{max}$) on PET-CT images was measured in 8 patients who underwent a PET-CT. Results: The mean size of the 27 tumors was 6.77 cm (range, 2.5-26 cm) and four tumors exhibited multiplicity. The desmoid tumors were classified by shape as either mass forming (n = 18), infiltrative (n = 4), or combined (n = 5). The location of the tumors was either intra-abdominal (n = 15), within the abdominal wall (n = 8) or extra-abdominal (n = 4). Among the 27 tumors, 21 showed moderate to marked enhancement and 22 showed homogeneous enhancement. Two tumors showed calcifications and one displayed hemorrhage. Eleven of the 12 MR T2-weighted images showed whirling or band-like low signal intensity areas in the mass. The mean ADC value of the desmoid tumors ($1493{\times}10^{-6}mm^2/s$) was significantly higher than the mean of the malignant soft tissue tumors ($873{\times}10^{-6}mm^2/s$, P < 0.001). On the PET-CT images, all tumors exhibited an intermediate $SUV_{max}$ (mean, 3.7; range, 2.3-4.5). Conclusion: Desmoids tumors showed homogenous, moderate to marked enhancement on CT and MRI scans and a characteristic whirling or band-like pattern on T2-weighted images. DWI can be useful for the differentiation of desmoid tumors from malignant soft tissue tumors.
Nano-sized Ba-ferrite, Ni-Zn ferrite and $BaFe_{12}O_{19}/Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ nanocomposite ferrite were prepared by sol-gel combustion method. Nanocomposite was calcined at temperature range of $600{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. According to the diffraction patterns, hard/soft nanocomposite was indicated to the coexistence of the magnetoplumbite structural $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ and spinel $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ and agree with the standard data (JCPDS 10-0325). The particle size of nanocomposite turn out to be less than 90 nm. The nanocomposite ferrite shows a single-phase magnetization behavior, implying that the hard magnetic phase and soft magnetic phase were well exchange-coupled. The specific saturation magnetization ($M_s$) of the nanocomposite is located between hard ($BaFe_{12}O_{19}$) and soft ferrite ($Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$). The remanence (Mr) of nanocomposite ferrite is much higher than that for the individual $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ and $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ ferrite. $(BH)_{max}$ is increased, generally.

Recently, the demand has continued to increase for higher data rates and improved multimedia services through wireless internet access. In order to increase the data rate and link reliability, 3GPP LTE/A and IEEE 802.16e/m WiMAX systems incorporate MIMO transmission schemes. Since the hardware complexity increases with the number of transmit data streams and mobile devices have limited physical dimensions, an multiple input multiple output (MIMO) ystem with two antennas at both the transmitter and the receiver ($2{\times}2$) is considered to be a possible solution for mobile devices. In this paper, a low-complexity soft output MIMO symbol detector based on Modified-SQRD is proposed for mobile devices with two transmit and two receive antennas.

The goal of this research is the create novel magnets with no rare-earth contents, with larger energy product by comparison with currently used ferrites. For this purpose we developed nano-sized hard-type/soft-type composite ferrite in which high remanent magnetization (Mr) and high coercivity (Hc). Nano-sized Ba-ferrite, Ni-Zn ferrite and $BaFe_{12}O_{19}/Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ composite ferrites were prepared by sol-gel combustion method by use of glicine-nitrate and citric acid. Nanocomposite ferrites were calcined at temperature range $700-900^{\circ}C$ for 1h. According to the X-ray diffraction patterns and FT-IR spectra, single phase of NiZn-ferrite and Ba-ferrite were detected and hard/soft nanocomposite ferrite was indicated to the coexistence of the magnetoplumbite-structural $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ and spinel-structural $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ that agreed with the standard JCPDS 10-0325 data. The particle size of nanocomposite turn out to be less than 120 nm. The nanocomposite ferrite shows a single-phase magnetization behavior, implying that the hard magnetic phase and soft magnetic phase were well exchange-coupled. The specific saturation magnetization ($M_s$) of the nanocomposite ferrite is located between hard ($BaFe_{12}O_{19}$) and soft ferrite($Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$). The remanence (Mr) of nanocomposite ferrite is much higher than that of the individual $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ and $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ ferrite, and $(BH)_{max}$ is increased slightly.
