In order to investigate behavior of lateral flow by plasticity of soils and construction control due to it, in the case of unsymmetrical surcharge load on the soft soils, we examine the existing theoretical background, and compared and analysed the experimental results by model test. After model test fabricated by model test apparatus, which made full remolding samples of soft soils, we observed the state of behavior for deformation with increasing load step to constant time interval. The critical surcharge and ultimate capacity showed tendency to approach to the proposed value of Jaky and Meyerhof, and the lateral flow pressure of which the maximum value was acted on the depth calculated by z/H=0.26+1.71cu and one third value of the maximum lateral flow pressure acted on the ground surface, approach the trapezoid distribution And maximum lateral flow pressure will be calculated by proposed equation of Hong or simple equation which($\alpha=0.4$) the flow pressure coefficient . of proposed equation by Tschebotarioff exchanged to($\alpha=K_0$) . Basides, the failure surcharge by [(q/$y_m$)-q] and [$S_y-(y_m/S_y)$] showed the smaller than ultimate bearing capacity, especially failure criteria line of control diagram of [$S_y(y_m/S_y)$] will be calculated by following equation. $S_y.=3.15exp[-0.58(y_m/S_y)$
The effect of irradiation on the quality characteristics of pale-soft-exudative (PSE) pork was studied. The pork loin with severe PSE appearance was selected by meat grader, irradiated at 0 and 4.5 kGy, and meat quality characteristics including pH, color, lipid oxidation development, microbial and sensory quality were analyzed during 2 weeks of storage at $4^{\circ}C$. The pH values of non-irradiated and 4.5 kGy-irradiated PSE raw pork loin was not different. Hunter color $a^*$-value, which represents redness of meat surface showed significant increase (P<0.05) in irradiated PSE pork loin. This higher Hunter color $a^*$-value maintained during 2 weeks of storage. By 4.5 kGy of irradiation, approximately 2 log reduction of total aerobic bacterial counts was achieved during 2 weeks of storage when compared with non-irradiated control. Sensory panelists prefer the color of irradiated PSE meat than that of non-irradiated control because of redness. From the results, it is possible to use an irradiation technology to improve not only microbiological safety but also the color of meat which has severe defect such as PSE.
In order to establish in vitro infection model for research of plant pathogen based on tissue softening disease in napa cabbage, eighty independent bacterial strains were isolated from the softened napa cabbage tissues. Eight bacterial isolates were primarily screened with the generation of reproducible tissue softening disease to fresh napa cabbages within 24${\sim}$48 hours after inoculation. Through various microbiological biochemical and morphological examinations, three Gram (-) isolates which harbor independent biological properties were finally chosen, and named as RBI, RB2 and RB6. Collective results obtained from API 20E test and analyses of VITEK 2 COMPACT and nucleotide sequences of 165 rRNA of each isolate proposed that isolates RBI and RB2 are close to the Erwinia carotovora subsp. odorifera, and RB6 is close to the Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora. These isolates grew optimally at $30^{\circ}C$ with neutral pH culture condition. The isolates caused softening tissue disease with dose-dependent manner regardless of pre-surface damages of napa cabbage. Minimum dose to cause soft rot disease for RBI, RB2 or RB6 were $8.0{\times}10^8$ CFU/mt $10^9$ CFU/ml or $4.7{\times}10^6$ CFU/ml respectively. These isolates caused tissue softening disease to eggplant, paprika and napa cabbage out of 14 different tested vegetables, indicating that these isolates damages specific plant tissues. The bacterial isolates obtained in this research and in vitro plant infection model will be adapted in the understanding of the mechanism of pathogenesis by plant pathogen.
The purpose of this study was to compare the microtensile bond strength in Class I cavities associated with different light curing modes of same light energy density. Occlusal enamel was removed to expose a flat dentin surface and twenty box-shaped Class I cavities were prepared in dentin. Single Bond (3M Dental product) was applied and Z 250 was inserted using bulk technique. The composite was light-cured using one of four techniques, pulse delay (PD group), soft-start (SS group), pulse cure (PC group) and standard continuous cure (CC group). The light-curing unit capable of adjusting time and intensity (VIP, Bisco Dental product) was selected and the light energy density for all curing modes was fixed at $16J/cm^2$. After storage for 24 hours, specimens were sectioned into beams with a rectangular cross-sectional area of approximately $1mm^2$ Microtensile bond strength $({\mu}TBS)$ test was per- formed using a univel·sal testing machine (EZ Test, Shimadzu Co.). The results were analyzed using oneway ANOVA and Tukey's test at significance level 0.05. The ${\mu}TBS$ of PD group and SS group was higher than that of PC group and CC group. Within the limitations of this in vitro study, modification of curing modes such as pulse delay and soft start polymerization can improve resin/dentin bond strength in Class I cavities by controlling polymerization velocity of composite resin.
Objective: The objectives of this study were to investigate the thermal gelation properties and molecular forces of actomyosin extracted from two classes of chicken breast meat qualities (normal and pale, soft and exudative [PSE]-like) during heating process to further improve the understanding of the variations of functional properties between normal and PSE-like chicken breast meat. Methods: Actomyosin was extracted from normal and PSE-like chicken breast meat and the gel strength, water-holding capacity (WHC), protein loss, particle size and distribution, dynamic rheology and protein thermal stability were determined, then turbidity, active sulfhydryl group contents, hydrophobicity and molecular forces during thermal-induced gelling formation were comparatively studied. Results: Sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis showed that protein profiles of actomyosin extracted from normal and PSE-like meat were not significantly different (p>0.05). Compared with normal actomyosin, PSE-like actomyosin had lower gel strength, WHC, particle size, less protein content involved in thermal gelation forming (p<0.05), and reduced onset temperature ($T_o$), thermal transition temperature ($T_d$), storage modulus (G') and loss modulus (G"). The turbidity, reactive sulfhydryl group of PSE-like actomyosin were higher when heated from $40^{\circ}C$ to $60^{\circ}C$. Further heating to $80^{\circ}C$ had lower transition from reactive sulfhydryl group into a disulfide bond and surface hydrophobicity. Molecular forces showed that hydrophobic interaction was the main force for heat-induced gel formation while both ionic and hydrogen bonds were different significantly between normal and PSE-like actomyosin (p<0.05). Conclusion: These changes in chemical groups and inter-molecular bonds affected protein-protein interaction and protein-water interaction and contributed to the inferior thermal gelation properties of PSE-like meat.

Due to recent underground space accidents, are a frequent occurence in Korea, the government established the basic plan for the construction of the IUGIM (Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map) in 2015 as a measure for safety management of underground spaces. The development of IUGIM was partially completed as of 2021. The underground space management entity and related organizations are utilizing it. This study is being carried out as part of a plan to improve the usability of IUGIM, and to build a visualization system that compares real-time field data with stored data. A system, equipped with a visualization function for borehole data and 6 types of underground facilities built and managed on IUGIM; a tool capable of comparative analysis with real-time data measured in the field, is being built. The 6 types of underground facilities are water supply pipe, sewage pipe, power pipe, gas pipe, communication pipe, and heating pipe. The completed system was demonstrated at three locations in Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu in Seoul. The field demonstration was carried out by accessing the mobile center and downloading IUGIM data, visualizing IUGIM data (surface creation, borehole information, underground facilities), and visualizing the GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar)-based data acquired at the field. As a result of the empirical results of IUGIM data and GPR-based field data, it was judged to be suitable. As a result of this study, it is judged that it can be helpful for safe construction at the excavation site.
Purpose: In this study, field experimental research was conducted to analyze the settlement characteristics of soft ground in the central inland region of Korea and use it in practice. Method: The design predicted values and comparative analysis were performed using the ten settlement measurement data actually measured in the field experiment. For the design prediction value, Terzaghi's one-dimensional consolidation settlement analysis was used. In the experiment, the surface subsidence plate was used for field measurement. Result: The settlement behavior of the predicted value and the actual value was generally similar, but in the settlement value, the actual settlement value showed a settlement behavior of 30% or less compared to the predicted settlement value. The rate of consolidation settlement in this study area was in the range of 9.6% to 27.0%, and the average value was 18.21%. It is analyzed that the prediction of the settlement amount of the silty soils distributed in the inland plains of the central region of Korea can be relatively overestimated. Conclusion: It is judged that precise ground investigation and detailed prediction are necessary because there is a possibility of over-design in the design for predicting the amount of settlement of the silty soils distributed in the inland plains of the central region of Korea.

MRI signals are significantly reduced by the magnetic field inhomogenity result from human body itself being consisted of various materials like air, fat, muscle, bone and blood vessels. In this study we used silicon which is tissue equivalent to compensate wound body shapes. Objects were eight adults who do not have any special symptoms. Feet were scanned because of their complicated structures and consequently signal reduction occurs a lot. Thirty images were acquired from the middle of arcus pedis longitudinalis including five distal phalanges parallel to the line connecting metatarsal bone and phalanges. SNR data from bones and soft tissues were compared before and after sticking silion between toes and paired t test was performed. It was came out that SNR data from bone and soft tissue were both significantly higher after applying silicon on both T1 and T2 weighted images and it was statistically meaningful having positive corelation. As a result, this study dramatically increases SNR without affecting object by increasing the object volume inside the surface coil.
We measured the effect of wettability of six MPSs for RGP(rigid gas permeable) lens. The used MPSs(multipurpose solutions) were OPTI-SOAK(ALCON), SOLO care hard(CIBA Vision), Total care(ALLERGAN), Simplicity(BOSTON), Wetting and Soaking Sol.(Bausch & Lomb) and Aquas-multi(Saehan). These MPSs keeps hydrophilic property of lens surface and increase the effect of cleaning or increase the effect of preservative effect. To compare with the effect of wettability we followed the way of contact angle measurement which was general way to measure wettability and compared lens which was conducted by each MPS made by different companies. As a control, 0.9% NaCl solution and artificial tears were used. The degree of the effect of wettability was decided by contact angle. It is hydrophilic property nearby $0^{\circ}$ of contact angle and it is closed by hydrophobic property as it increases. The results showed that every lens was nearby hydrophilic property within $25\;^{\circ}-36\;^{\circ}$. Also, it was differed by various factors. The surface tension showed various differences between 19.8 and 31.3 mN/m. In the viscosity, MPSs represented the highest viscosity between $4^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$. It was much higher than compared with the viscosity of soft lens MPS. This experiment could be used to grasping the interaction between solutions used to MPS and the natural endowments of lens and to considering the relations of different factors effecting the wettability.

This study attempted to investigate the plasticity of Korean paper expressed in contemporary fashion after general inquiry into Korean paper and examine the aesthetic beauty of fashion design using Korean paper. It used the literature review and empirical data analysis together. Korea-paper fashion design, the object of actual investigation, was for Korean-paper fashion from the 1990s to the present. As a result of analysis, the following findings were obtained: First, the natural, warm and soft texture seen as pureness in Korean paper enables us to elicit naturalness from liberalness. In addition, Korean paper not only has the tough characteristic of its material but also has the natural characteristic of abandoning its original nature and complying and adhering to its a given nature. Korean-paper fashion design, using this natural beauty and frank nature, bears the pure image of excluding decoration. Second, the overlapping of the surface on the surface expressed in Korean-paper fashion design forms one space with the sense of depth because of its transparency and expresses temporality through repetition. And the work of folding it with other materials and pasting them up with together demonstrates the effect of reflection because its original transparency. This effect is the specificity created in the collage technique using Korean paper and is the advantage of coming to obtain a wider freedom of expression. Korean-paper fashion design expresses transparency using this repetition and overlapping, Third, Korean paper has the simple rather than luxurious aspect. Owing to this nature, fashion design looks as if there were the greed inherent behind the work made from Korean paper though the complex technique applied to it. And it expresses the restraint of Korean paper using its original white color, the exclusion of decoration and simple design. Fourth, Korean paper is more likely to be changed by the outside influence because of formation. It has its peculiar aesthetic value and original artistry to an extent that it is regarded as one artistic work. The quality and texture of Korean paper diversely vary according to the artist's working process. Like this, Korean paper is easily fused into some object without exclusivity though it may be added to it. Korean-paper fashion design has the beauty of creation that is to create a new world because Korean paper is fused into another material due to its soft nature.
