지능로봇의 동기 기반 행동선택을 위한 베이지안 행동유발성 모델 (Motivation-Based Action Selection Mechanism with Bayesian Affordance Models for Intelligence Robot)

  • A skill is defined as the special ability to do something well, especially as acquired by learning and practice. To learn a skill, a Bayesian network model for representing the skill is first learned. We will regard the Bayesian network for a skill as an affordance. We propose a soft Behavior Motivation(BM) switch as a method for ordering affordances to accomplish a task. Then, a skill is constructed as a combination of an affordance and a soft BM switch. To demonstrate the validity of our proposed method, some experiments were performed with GENIBO(Pet robot) performing a task using skills of Search-a-target-object, Approach-a-target-object, Push-up-in front of -a-target-object.

소프트스킬 함양교육 사례 (A Case Study of Soft-Skill Education)

  • The skill that meets the intellectual and technical requirements in workplace is called hard skill. The counter part of it is 'softskills' which enhances an individual's interactions, job performance and career prospects. It becomes more necessary skill as society changes. In this paper we first show the demand for the softskill improvement education for engineering major students. Then we introduce a 'softskill improvement education' program developed by the "Center for innovative engineering education" in a University. The contents of the program are chosen by the needs of society, companies that hire our students, ABEEK educational objectives and consulting from professors. To improve the skills we used various activities as tools which are mentioned and introduced. The evaluation of the program results are discussed. We suggest some ways to improve the program.

  • This study aims to invest in empirical relationships in a model that becomes the process of Team-Performance due to participation in practical training through causality between Training Effectiveness variables, soft-skill competence, Employee-Creativity, and team performance. This study uses a quantitative approach. The analytical tool used is structural equation modeling (SEM) using AMOS version 23 software. Accidental sampling technique is used to collect the sample. As many as 202 respondents filled up a survey questionnaire with complete and valid answers. This study's results significantly contribute to fill the gap of inadequate empirical evidence that can answer critical questions about the missing link between training and employee-performance, more specifically between training-effectiveness and team-performance. The results showed that practical training would encourage employees' soft-skill competence, improve Employee-Creativity, and improve Team-Performance. Furthermore, training-effectiveness also plays a significant role in enhancing employee-creativity and helping in optimal team-performance. This study also found that the relationship between employee-creativity and team-performance did not show positive and significant results; therefore, empirically, it did not support the hypothesis built in this study. Practical training targeted towards increasing soft-skills and creativity is a fundamental reason which not only aims to contribute toward organizational performance but also provides personal feedback for self-development.

Integrating Soft Skills into Online EFL Classrooms Using Problem-Based Learning with Challenge Questions

  • This study proposed a soft skill integration activity for online EFL classrooms and investigated student responses. Toward this end, this study recruited 54 college students taking an English Presentation and Discussion class in South Korea. Participants were assigned into high and low-proficiency groups based on the Test of English for International Communication. This study employed questionnaire, class video recordings, and interview to obtain responses. Moreover, problem-based learning with challenge questions was applied to develop soft skills in online synchronous classes. Responses were examined in terms of whether a difference existed according to English proficiency. Major findings of this study were as follows. Regardless of proficiency levels, participants reported improvements in their IT and problem-solving skills and exhibited positive attitudes toward live online presentations via Zoom. However, this study observed significant differences in communication and teamwork skills, perceived learning, and confidence. Interviews with students with low English proficiency levels revealed that they were negatively affected by the lack of non-verbal cues, mechanical skills, and socialization time provided by online classes. Based on these results, pedagogical implications and directions for future studies are discussed.

  • 로봇이 지능적이고 합리적으로 임무를 수행하기 위해서는 다양한 솜씨(skill)가 필요하다. 우리는 솜씨를 생성하기 위해 우선 행동유발성(affordance)을 학습한다. 행동유발성은 행동을 유발하게 하는 물체 또는 환경의 성질로써 솜씨를 생성하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 로봇이 수행하는 대부분의 임무는 순차적이고 목표 지향적인 행동을 필요로 한다. 그러나 행동유발성만을 이용하여 이러한 임무를 수행하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 이를 위해 우리는 행동유발성과 목표 지향적 요소를 반영하기 위한 소프트 행동동기 스위치(soft behavioral motivation switch)를 이용하여 솜씨를 생성한다. 솜씨는 현재 인지된 정보와 목표 지향적 요소를 결합하여 행동동기를 생성한다. 여기서 행동동기는 목표 지향적인 행동을 활성화시키기 위한 내부 상태를 말한다. 또한, 로봇은 임무 수행을 위해 순차적인 행동 선택을 필요로 한다. 우리는 목표 지향적이고 순차적인 행동 선택이 가능하도록 솜씨를 이용하여 솜씨 네트워크(skill network)를 생성한다. 로봇은 솜씨 네트워크를 이용하여 목표 지향적이고 순차적인 행동을 선택할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 베이지안 네트워크를 이용한 행동유발성 모델링 및 학습 방법, 행동유발성과 소프트 행동동기 스위치를 이용한 솜씨 및 솜씨 네트워크 생성 방법, 마지막으로 솜씨 네트워크를 이용한 목표 지향적 행동 선택 방법을 제안한다. 우리의 방법을 증명하기 위해 제니보(애완 로봇)를 이용한 교시 기반 학습 방법을 통해 "물체 찾기", "물체에 접근하기", "물체의 냄새 맡기", 그리고 "물체를 발로 차기" 행동유발성들을 학습하였다. 또한, 이들을 이용하여 솜씨 및 솜씨 네트워크를 생성하여 제니보에 적용하고 실험하였다.

소프트스킬 프로그램 학습성과의 교과기반 평가(CEA)를 위한 학습모듈(안)에 관한 연구 (A Study on Learning Modules for Course Embedded Assessment of Soft Skills Program Outcomes)

  • This paper proposes learning modules as a kind of integrated instruction model for soft skills program outcomes to enable CEA. Learning modules consist of course learning objectives(outcomes) described in detail, learning content(elements), learning activities(teaching learning methods), evaluation methods, evaluation rubrics so that they can be evaluated based on the performance criteria of the program learning outcomes. The unit of time for the learning module is 50 minutes. If this learning module is applied, it is expected that the soft skill program outcomes can be evaluated in the technical course. As a result of the expert feasibility study, the positive answers were much higher than the negative answers in most of the questions about the composition of the learning module or the method of managing the class.

기술변화에 따른 IT 서비스업의 숙련 미스매칭 분석 (An Analysis for the Skill Mismatching of IT Service Sector by Technology Changes)

  • 본 연구는 급격한 기술 변화의 흐름 속에서 IT서비스업 분야의 스킬 미스매칭에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전문가 집단에 대한 심층 인터뷰 방식으로 연구가 진행되었다. 숙련노동의 수요자인 기업이 바라보는 IT 산업의 현황과 숙련노동의 공급과 관련된 교육자들이 바라보는 시각에 일부 차이가 있었다. 숙련에 대한 분석 도구로 중요도와 만족도에 대해 5점 척도를 사용하였다. 매칭이 이루어진 경우 주어진 항목들에 대한 중요도의 평균은 3.7점이었고, 만족도의 평균은 3.4점으로, 채용한 인력에 대해 어느 정도의 차이가 존재한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편 비전공자 교육생의 숙련도 수준에 대해서는 중요도의 평균이 3.79점이었으나, 만족도의 평균은 3.12점이었다. 학력, 학점, 자격증, 수상경력, 어학능력에 대해서는 중요도를 낮게 평가하는 공통점이 있었다. 전공역량의 중요도에 대해서는 매칭 전 집단에 대한 만족도보다는 매칭이 이뤄진 집단에서의 만족도가 평균 대비 높게 나타났다. 기업이 원하는 숙련은 다차원적인 역량을 포함하며, 주로 soft-skill 항목들과 관련이 높았다. IT 서비스업에 속한 기업들은 숙련 미스매치의 원인으로 산업의 인력구조가 세분화되어 있지 않은 것을 이유로 들었고, 교육기관에서는 시간의 불일치를 꼽았다. 전문가 집단들은 모두 향후 미스매치 갭이 확대될 것으로 보고 있었다. 숙련의 공급은 기술이 변해가는 속도를 따라가지 못할 것이라는 전망이었다. 갭의 해결 방안으로 전문가 모두 산학연 과정을 뽑았으며, 장기적인 안목에서 인력을 육성할 방안을 모색해야 한다고 했다.

소프트 골프클럽 시제품의 모드해석 (Modal Analysis of the Soft Golf Club Prototype)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the modal parameters of a newly developed soft golf club prototype, which is designed to be lighter than regular golf clubs, with those of a regular commercial golf club. The modal tests were performed with two kinds of boundary conditions. The first condition was free-free condition and the second was fixed-free condition. An impact hammer and a Fast Fourier Transform analyzer were used to obtain modal data. From the results, it was found out that the modal characteristics of the soft golf club prototype were close to those of the regular golf club although the weight of the soft club was lighter. Therefore, the soft golf club is expected to be able to convey similar feel to the golfers even with lighter weight. This would enable elderly golfers to swing easily with the soft golf club with same skill which they acquired with regular golf clubs but with reduced load to their muscles.

  • Purpose: The aim of augmentation of the alveolar ridge is to restore absorbed alveolar ridges for future implant site or esthetic prosthodontic restoration. The present clinical report describes the anterior maxillary augmentation cases using a soft tissue rotated palatal flap, and considers various problems of before and after surgery. Method: First & second patients were treated by vascularized interpositional periosteal-connective tissue(VIP-CT) flap for horizontal soft tissue augmentation. Especially second patient was progressed with bone grafting at the same time. Third patient was treated by the same flap with bone graft and implant placement in single tooth missing premaxillary area. Result: The obtained horizontal augmentation width measured $0.5{\sim}2.7\;mm$. Conclusion: This technique constitutes a viable approach for augmentation the anterior sector of alveolar ridge with the placement of dental implants. But it needs correct diagnosis preparation and careful surgery skill.
