One hundred-thirty six 5-year-old preschoolers and their mothers participated in this study. Instruments for this study were the Emotional Availability Scale for maternal emotional availability, the Delay task, and the Child Behavior Questionnaire for preschooler's effortful control, and the Social Skill Rating Scale, K-CBCL 1.5-5 and K-TRF for preschooler's social skills and problem behaviors. The resulting data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, partial correlation, and structural equation modeling analysis. As predicted, the preschooler's effortful control mediated the effects of maternal emotional availability on preschooler's social skills and problem behaviors. In conclusion, the preschooler's effortful control mediates the effects of emotion related socialization behavior on the preschooler's socio-emotional adjustment.

  • Internalizing and externalizing behavior problems may be more common in children with disability families but rarely known is the magnitude of the problem and the risk factors compared to those in children with non-disability families. This study was undertaken to examine if socio-economic factors, parental health, and family functioning affect children's internalizing and externalizing behaviors differently between two comparison groups. The research literature on childhood behaviors was briefly reviewed. The data was derived from the Mental Health of Children and Young People in Great Britain, 2004. Regression analyses provide evidence that the family type, economic status, and income level are uniquely associated with an increased risks of internalizing or externalizing behavior problems in children with disability families, whereas sex, age, family size, parental health, and family functioning factors have similar impacts on the child's internalizing or externalizing variances between two groups. Intervention is desirable to address the concerns influencing internalizing and externalizing performances among children with disability or non-disability families.

  • The survey of emotional behavioral problems in elementary school children provide baseline data for understanding, treating and preventing emotional behavioral problems in children. Since children can show different behaviors at home and at school, parents' information alone can lead to underestimate severity and prevalence rate of emotional behavioral problems in children. Thus, the author investigated the different the pattern of emotional behavioral problems in elementary school children by various socio-enviornmental factors in urban(Seoul) and rural area, by employing both parents' and teachers' questionnaire. The results were as follows ; Analysis of Rotter's questionnaire, in which high scores mean more serious emotional behavioral problems than low scores. The mean total problems scores for rural elementary school children were higher than those of Seoul elementary school children, and boys showed higher scores than girls. In relation to grade, mena total problems scores diminished as grade increased up to 4th or 5th, and then relatively high score for the 6th grade. Parent's education had significant effect on the total problem scores, that children of less educated parents showed higher score than children of more educated parents. Likewise the highest score was observed in children of unemployed parents. These results demonstrated that emotional behavioral children are related to various socio-environment factors.

  • This study examined the level of an emotional labour, depressive symptoms, and presenteeism of counselors working in a call center depending on socio-demographic characteristics, health-related factors, and job-related factors. Especially, the main purpose of a survey was to investigate the relevance to an emotional labour, the level of depressive symptoms and presenteeism. The research subjects were 304 counselors working at two call centers in Daejeon, and the survey was conducted from April 1, 2014 to May 31, 2014, using a structured self-administered questionnaire. As a result, the emotional labour, depressive symptoms and presenteeism experienced by the research subjects had a deep relation to many variables like socio-demographic characteristics, health-related factors and job-related factors. Especially, presenteeism showed a meaningful positive correlation with depressive symptoms and emotional labour factors. According to the result of a hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the meaningful variables related to presenteeism were age, the amount of a physical burden, the level of depressive symptoms, the surface action of an emotional labour. Therefore, to lower down the counselors' presenteeism, the development and implement of a mental healthcare program to control not only depressive symptoms and the level of an emotional labour is urgently needed.

  • Due to recent changes in increased life expectancy, economic power and social development, the new senior generation (focusing on people in their fifties) represents a new market power with strong competitiveness. The new senior generation is the generation after the baby boomers, with characteristics that include a high-level of education, increased income, a high-level of consumption, increased assets, self-fulfillment desires and individuality. Demands in the senior fashion industry are expected to gradually increase and the underwear industry that targets the new senior generation is expected to grow rapidly. These demands will require product development for the new senior generation based on emotional and socio-cultural characteristics. The current new senior underwear market is under the process of R&D with a focus on body shape changes; however, there are limited studies on emotional and socio-cultural approaches. This study formulates a basic design plan for different age groups based on an analysis of the situation of bra wear (current inconveniences, demand and needs) by women in their fifties and over. Subsequently, a functional active bra top that considers activity and comfort was proposed for women in their fifties, an all-in-one foundation bra top that shapes the body was proposed for women in their sixties, and comfort bra tops that are comfortable and easy to put on and take off were proposed for women in their seventies and over.

  • This research aims to test, firstly, how the disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR) helps to moderate the effect of family ownership on investment efficiency; secondly, how CSR disclosures mediate the effect of corporate governance on investment efficiency. STATA was used to analyze archival data collected from a total sample of 210 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), which were in the family businesses category for the period of 2016-2018. The first finding is that CSR moderates the effect of family ownership on investment efficiency. This implies that family businesses are very careful about investing. They will avoid risky decisions that may increase the economic wealth, but reduce the socio-emotional wealth. To maintain socio-emotional wealth, they tend to choose an underinvestment strategy and are more concerned with the prestige and good reputation of their families and dynasties than with economic wealth. Thus, CSR disclosures can reduce the underinvestment strategy of family businesses listed on the IDX. The second finding is that CSR disclosures are able to mediate the effect of corporate governance on investment efficiency. CSR activities play a major role in decision-making, and through CSR disclosures, corporate governance has a greater effect on investment efficiency.

  • Three types of socio-moral transgression events were used to test the moral emotions and attributions of 30 juvenile offenders on probation with a comparison group of 30 non-offenders. Data were analyzed by chi-square. Differences between juvenile offenders on probation and non-offenders were that juvenile offenders expected victimizers would feel happier and less guilty following such acts of victimization as physical harm, theft, and lying than the comparison group. Non-offenders were more likely than offenders to feel that victims would feel angry and upset. Juvenile offenders gave more variable and less adaptive emotional responses. Offenders provided victimization and emotional distance attributions, but the comparison group provided moral attributions or causal-dependent attributions such as fairness and justice.
