Effect of Non-invasive Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation in Women With Stress Urinary Incontinence: A Prospective Study

  • Background: Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) impacts the social, physical, and psychological well-being and quality of life of the patient. Several techniques exist for its management, including transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES). Objects: We aimed to demonstrate the effects of TES on ultrasonographic variables and quality of life in women with SUI. Methods: This prospective study recruited 21 women who had been diagnosed with grade 1 or 2 SUI between July 2018 and March 2019. The exclusion criteria were pregnancy and a history of urogenital surgery. All participants were assessed at baseline and 8 weeks after intervention initiation. The bladder neck position (BNP), length of the urethra (LU), funneling index (FI), and rhabdosphincter thickness (RT) were measured. The Incontinence-Quality of Life (I-QOL) was used to assess incontinence-specific quality of life. Statistical significance level was set at p < 0.05. Results: Twenty-one patients with SUI used TES for 8 weeks. BNP and FI significantly decreased after intervention (p < 0.05). LU, anterior and posterior RT (indicators of external sphincter hypertrophy) significantly increased post-intervention (p < 0.05). The total I-QOL score increased from 64.81 to 71.86 after the intervention (p < 0.05). Conclusion: This intervention improved BNP, LU, FI, RT, and subjective indicators such as quality of life in women with SUI. Therefore, TES can be an effective non-surgical treatment method for improving SUI symptoms and quality of life in these patients.

<만화로 보는 그리스 로마 신화> 속 아동의 사회학습과 연관된 만화의 윤리적 표현 분석 (Analysis on the Sexual Expression in related to Children's Social Development)

  • 만화가 아동에게 미치는 접근성과 영향은 크다. 만화는 글과 그림으로 정보를 전달하는 매체이기에 어느 매체보다도 쉽게 아동에게 다가가는 특성이 있다. 특히 이야기를 들려주거나 읽어주는 방식에서 나아가 보여주는 방식이라는 점에서 아동들에게의 접근성은 어느 매체보다 뛰어날 수밖에 없는 것이다. <만화로 보는 그리스 로마 신화>는 주 독자층이 아동이다. 글로 읽는 신화가 아닌 만화로 보는 신화이기 때문에 아동에게 쉽게 수용되는 특징이 있다. 하지만 신들이 보여 주는 형태는 비윤리적인 표현들로 가득하다. 모자의 근친혼, 남매의 근친혼, 조카와의 근친혼 및 혼외정사의 성적 표현은 비윤리적인 경향이 강하여 아동에게 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 제우스는 바람피우는 행위를 자주하며, 혼외정사에 의하여 생긴 제우스 자녀에 관한 이야기들이 자주 등장한다. 독자가 성인이라면 이성적 판단에 의한 가치 기준이 서 있지만, 아동은 옳고 그름의 이성적 판단이 부족하기 때문에 의문이 있더라도 그대로 수용하기 쉽다. 아동의 무비판적인 관찰학습에 대한 대안으로서, 작가의 개입을 통해 아동이 올바른 가치관 형성을 할 수 있게 연출할 필요가 있다. 아동을 독자로 하는 교양만화나 학습만화에서 비윤리적이거나 성적 표현을 사용할 수밖에 없는 경우에는 몇 가지를 기준으로 삼아 만화의 스토리와 연출을 할 수 있을 것이다. (1) 이야기를 들려주는 등장인물을 통해 비윤리적인 내용이나 성적 표현의 경우, 현재에는 수용할 수 없는 것이라는 분명한 표현을 보이는 것이 중요하다. 아동의 관찰학습에 있어서 벌은 즉각 주어지는 것이 효과적이므로 교양 학습만화에서 학습효과를 높이기 위하여 아동에게 잘못된 학습이 될 수 있는 표현에는 작가가 적극적으로 개입할 필요가 있다. (2) 이야기를 들려주는 등장인물과 질문하는 아동의 대화를 통해 올바른 가치관 형성을 할 수 있게 연출하여야 한다. 본 연구는 현 시점에서 아동에게 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있는 신들의 비윤리적인 표현을 분석하였으며, <만화로 보는 그리스 로마 신화>에서 아동의 사회학습에 미칠 수 있는 제우스와 신들의 성적 표현을 분석하는 것이 목적이다.

집단지성 기반 학습자료 북마킹 서비스 시스템 (Learning Material Bookmarking Service based on Collective Intelligence)

  • 최근 IT 환경의 변화에 따라 웹 서비스를 기반으로 대규모 사용자 대상의 상호 참여적인 MOOC(Massive Open Online Courses)과 같은 온라인 교육 환경이 부상하고 있다. 그러나 온라인 교육 시스템은 원거리로 학습이 이루어짐에 따라 학습자의 자발적 동기를 꾸준히 유지하기 어려우며, 또한 학습자 간에 지식을 공유하고 공유한 지식을 활용하는 기능이 부족하다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해 구성주의적 학습이론과 집단지성에 기반하여 학습자가 보유한 학습자료를 공유하고 개인화된 학습자료 추천을 받을 수 있는 학습자료 북마킹 서비스인 WeStudy를 구현하였다. 위키피디아(Wikipedia), 슬라이드쉐어 (SlideShare), 비디오렉쳐스 (VideoLectures) 등 현존하는 집단지성 기반 서비스들의 주요 기능으로부터 필요한 집단지성 기능들을 검토하였으며, 본 서비스의 주요 기능으로 1) 리스트 및 그래프 형태의 학습자료 리스트 시각화, 2) 개인화된 학습자료 추천, 3) 보다 상세한 학습자료 추천을 위한 관심 학습자 지정 등을 도출하여 시스템을 설계하였다. 이후, 웹 기반으로 구현된 세 가지 주요기능 별로 개량된 휴리스틱 사용성 평가 방법을 통해 개발된 시스템의 사용성 평가를 실시하였다. 10명의 HCI 분야 전공자 및 현업 종사자를 대상으로 정량적 및 정성적인 평가 결과, 세 가지의 주요 기능에서 전반적으로 사용성이 우수한 것으로 판정되었다. 주요 기능 별 정성적인 평가에서 도출된 여러 마이너 이슈들을 반영할 필요가 있으며, 향후 대규모 사용자를 대상으로 본 서비스를 보급하고 이용할 수 있도록 제공하여 자발적인 지식 공유 환경을 조성할 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.

불리(不利)한 환경(環境)의 학령전(學齡前) 아동(兒童)을 위한 보상교육(補償敎育)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - 미국(美國) 및 일본(日本)의 보상교육(補償敎育)·프로그램을 중심(中心)으로 - (A Study on the Compensatory Education for the Disadvantaged Children in Preschool Age (Focussed on the Programs of Compensatory Education in the U.S.A. and Japan))

  • This study is aimed at investigating the compensatory education which was already implemented or is being implemented in the U.S.A. and Japan; and at studying the types of programs and their characteristics; and at sounding out the possibilities of the application of such programs in family and social conditions is Korea. In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, the established items for the study are as follows: (1) Various types of early children's education (2) Programs of compensatory education for the disadvantaged Children (3) Head Start Program, Early Training Project and Montessori School (4) Integrated Preschool Programs (5) Day-Care Center for employed mothers We investigated the various compensatory education programs for the preschool children who are in economically, socially, culturally disadvantaged conditions. Head Start Programs were federally supported programs for preschool children and opened as summer programs in 1965 for the first time. The purpose of Head Start has been to give preschool children the kinds of experiences they need in preparation for school. The Head Start children were found to be significantly better prepared for school than the normal children. However, after six to eight months, their initial advantages had virtually. disappeared and then the simple problem with Head Start and other such programs was that little long-term good could be evidenced unless the high quality educational environment was maintained. Therefore, to solve this problem, three other programs were funded as part of the overall Head Start. These three programs are the Parent-Child Center, Home Start, and the Child and Family Resources Program. The Early Training Project for disadvantaged children was implemented by Klaus and Gray of Peabody College in 1962. The program was a field research study concerned with the development and testing over time of procedures for improving the educability of young children from low income homes. Its major concern was to study whether it was possible to offset the progressive retardation observed in the public schooling careers of children, living in deprived circumstances. Children, who were trained through the Early Training Project were superior to control groups in the test of IQ and vocabulary as well as linguistic abilities, and preparation for reading. This project showed the possibilities which could prevent preschool children from being disadvantaged socially, culturally and mentally. In 1907, Montessori School was established by Maria Montessori in Italy and her school program has been introduced at present to several countries in the world as one compensatory educations. She first began her experimental methods with retarded children, followed by disadvantaged children from the tenements of Rome. The Montessori approach futures a prepared environment and carefully designed, self-correcting materials. The Montessori curriculum presents tastes that feature sequence, order, and regularity, in addition to those that develop motor and sensory skills. She was interested in children's intellectual development and in developing good work habits. One of the latest developed programs for disadvantaged children is "Integrated Preschool Program" which has successfully integrated handicapped and nonhandicapped children. Several studies have showed that handicapped children in integrated school environments are accepted by and interact with their nonhandicapped peers. In fact, this program provides a number of potential, and perhaps opportunities for nonhandicapped children to serve as valuable resources in fostering the development of their handicapped peers. Next we turn to Japanese programs which are divided into two different types. One is Day-Care Center which was established by Child Welfare Law and the other is kindergarten organized by School Education Law. The kindergarten opened in 1876 and it has been part of school systems since 1947 by the implementation of education law, and the Day-Care Center which started in 1890 for the employed mothers. was changed into Day-Nursery by the enactment of child welfare law in 1947. The laws and operational regulations for the Day-Nursery were set up and were put in effect by the establishment standard acts of children welfare facilities, and the Day-Nursery has been operated in various types by the increasing demand, chiefly because of the socio-economical changes of family structures in both urban and suburban areas. Nursery education for physically and mentally disadvantaged children is for those who are blind, deaf and dumb, mentally retarded; physically disadvantaged by accidents or diseases. Montessori education in Japan was started in 1968 and many research groups for studying Montessori were organized. In 1977, Montessori remedial education society was also organized in which they started a number of studies; a study for developing materials; in-service training for the remedial education; and seminars and lectures, etc It is strongly suggested that we study the early educations that are being implemented in Japan and a variety of compensatory educations that were already implemented in the U.S.A. and modify them for the organization of our own model and properly accommodate them to our social needs.

  • This thesis is a study to develop the tentative objectives and present the professional and courses for the nursing college. The conclusions conducted by the purpose of this study are as follows. First, on the basis of the concepts of the nursing and the view-points of nursing education, the tentative goals for the nursing education are set up as follows. 1. To understand human being's life, dignity and their physical, mental, and social aspects. 2. To understand the basic concepts and the principles of human sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, and medical sciences. To apply their knowledges to nursing practices. 3. To diagnose and assess the problems of individual, family and community in terms of nursing practice. To develop the ability of planning, negotiation, management, and evaluation for the nursing education. 4. To develop appropriate knowlege, attitudes, and skills to promote the clients' health and treat their illness. 5. 국내 스마트폰 사용자들의 앱북 구매행위에 미치는 영향요인 연구 (A Study on the Impact of the App-Book Purchasing Behavior of Smart phone Users in Korea)

  • 국내 스마트폰 사용자들의 앱북 구매의도에 미치는 영향요인에 대하여 알아보기 위해 Venkatesh 등이 제안한 UTAUT 모형을 기반으로 검증된 4개의 핵심 변인들(성과기대, 노력기대, 사회적 영향, 촉진조건) 외에 '비용' 변인을 추가로 사용하여 그 영향정도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 정보기술과 관련된 많은 선행연구들을 통해 입증된 UTAUT 모형 변수들의 가설들이 본 연구에서도 대체적으로 지지됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 다만, 촉진조건은 스마트폰을 통한 앱북의 구매행위에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 조절변수로 제안된 '연령'과 '경험'은 독립변수들을 통해 구매의도 및 구매행동에 대부분 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 향후 앱북 서비스와 유사한 뉴미디어의 수용 및 구매행위에 관련한 연구를 수행하는 데 새로운 통합모형을 제시한 선행연구로써 학문적 의의가 있다. 또한 앱북 관련 기업에는 앱북의 유용성, 사용 용이성, 비용, 주변인들의 사회적 영향력에 의해 앱북을 구매하려는 의도가 있음을 밝힘으로써 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

여중고생의 혁신과 또래압력이 색조화장행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Innovation and Peer Pressure on Color Make-up Behaviors of Middle and High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 특성상 획일적인 유행현상으로 인한 동조소비나 독특한 집단문화의 확산 등을 볼 때 여중고생의 색조화장행동에 있어서도 그들만의 특성을 지닌 영향요소가 있을 것이라고 보고, 이들의 개인적 특성 및 사회적 준거집단에 대한 영향력을 통해 화장행동의 고도화 및 일탈행동으로 이어지는 영향을 검증하였다. 이를 위해 여자 중 고등학교 학생을 대상으로 색조화장을 하는 정도와 동료 간의 영향력을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시 하였으며, 수집된 총 297부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과, 첫째, 여중고생의 색조화장행동에 있어 사회적 자기효능감은 혁신과 또래압력 수용정도에 모두 정(+)의 영향관계를 나타냈다. 특히 사회적 자기효능감은 또래압력에 부(-) 영향관계를 예측하였으나, 정(+)의 관계를 나타내 또래집단의 특성상 자신에 대한 확신이 높다하더라도 집단에 동조하는 등의 여중고생의 심리적 특성을 나타냈다. 둘째, 여중고생의 화장에 대한 가시성은 혁신과 또래압력정도에 부(-)의 영향을 나타내 여중고생의 화장에 대한 가시성이 높은 타인의 눈에 쉽게 인식되는 정도이더라도 새로움을 추구하지 않는다는 것을 나타냈다. 또한 가시성은 또래압력을 받기보다는 오히려 또래집단에 영향력을 행사할 수 있음을 나타냈다. 셋째, 여중고생의 화장에 대한 혁신과 또래압력이 화장행동에 모두 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 화장행동에 대한 상대적 영향력은 혁신보다는 동료 압력에 의한 영향력이 더 높게 나타나 여중고생의 화장행동은 또래 압력의 영향력이 크다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 넷째, 여중고생의 화장행동의 고도화는 화장만족과 일탈행동에도 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 여중고생의 색조화장행동에 대한 새로운 시각이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

자녀를 양육하지 않는 아버지의 비공식 양육비 제공 - 가족구조의 영향을 중심으로 - (Nonresident Fathers' Informal Support to Children -Focusing on the Effects of Family Structures-)

  • 본 연구는 미국 위스컨신 주에서 수행된 아동양육비 이행 시범사업 서베이 자료를 이용하여, 자녀를 양육하지 않는 아버지와 자녀를 양육하는 빈곤층 어머니의 가족구조 특성이 아버지가 제공하는 비공식 양육비 수준과 관련이 있는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 비공식 양육비 수준은 해당 자녀 부모의 현재 결혼상태, 자녀의 출생 당시 결혼상태와 관련이 있었다. 아버지의 자녀를 낳은 배우자 수는 비공식 양육비 수준과 관계가 없었다. 여러 배우자 사이에 자녀를 가진 경우, 아버지는 첫 번째 배우자 사이에 출생한 자녀에게 더 많은 비공식 양육비를 제공하였다. 아버지 자녀의 구성과 관련하여, 해당자녀의 형제/자매의 존재, 해당자녀의 이복형제 등 또 다른 자녀의 존재도 비공식 양육비 수준과 관련을 맺었다. 또한 공식적 아동양육비와 비공식적 아동양육비는 보완적인 관계를 맺고 있음을 밝혔다.

조선왕조(朝鮮王朝)의 읍지연구(邑誌硏究) (A Study on the Eubj(邑誌) in the Yi Dynasty -Based upon the existing Eubjis-)

  • A. The principal geographical descriptions compiled by the government during Yi dynasty started from the Shinchan-Paldo-Chiriji(新撰八道地理志) which was compiled by the royal decree in the sixth year (1424) of King Sejong(世宗) and it ended in the Jungbo-Munhonbiko(增補文獻備考) which was published in the second year(1908) of Yunghyi(隆熙). The process of their compilations can be divided into four steps according to the compilatory work's contents of the principal geographical descriptions which were compiled through the Yi dynasty. We can say that the first step (1424-1454) of those works began at the date of the compilation of the Shinchan-Paldochiriji and it ended in the date of the compilation of the "Sejongsilok-Chiriji"(世宗實錄地理志), and during that period the Kyonsangdo-Chiriji(慶尙道地理志) was published. In the second step(1455-1531), were published the Paldochiriji,(八道地理志), Kyongsangdosokchanchiriji(慶尙道續撰地理志), DonggukYojisungnam(東國與地勝覽) and the third step (1532-1769) began at the date of the compilation of the Dongguk-Munhonbiko(東國文獻備考) and it ended in the date of the publication of the Jungbo-Munhonbiko(東國文獻備考), and in that period the Jongjung-Munhonbiko(訂增文獻備考) was published. The works of compilation of the Eubjis in the period of King Kojong(高宗) came within the category of the fourth step. B. Generally speaking, the state geographical descriptions were composed of the regional data of the country which were collected and arranged. In other words, firstly, the Eubjis were compiled in each county, secondly, the Dojis(道誌) were compiled based upon the collections of all the Kunjis(郡誌), lastly, the government collected all the Dojis and compiled them into the state geographical descriptions. The Eubjis in the early days of Yi dynasty were compiled as the data for the compilation of the nation-wide geographical descriptions, but the Eubjis in the age of King Kojong were compiled as the administrative data. C. The main contents of the Eubjis were composed of the descriptions on the geography, history, industry, naval and military affairs, traffics, communication, administration, economy and society, and of the matters on the prose and poetry, persons of loyalty, historic remains, social customs and schools. Consequently, the above-mentioned data will be contributed to the study on the structures of the geography, history, economy, administration, education, naval and military affairs and traffics as well as the study on the literature, social customs and bibliography. Especially, they will be important data for the arrangement of cultural assets of our country. Furthermore, because the traditional study of national literature was centered around the study on the central government ignoring the study on the regional matters, the study of the Eubjis will be worthy of being valued.

성별에 따른 죽음에 대한 태도 비교 연구 - 남.녀노인들의 임종과 죽음에 대한 불안도 측정을 중심으로 - (Attitudes of male and female older adults concerning death)

  • The research is a comparative study of death attitudes between male and female elderly people. There is no doubt as to the inevitability of death. And yet, there is a vast conspiracy involved in the word of dead or death. The aged are considered to be nearer death than are people in other age groups. Kalish(1976) emphasized that for the aged two meanings of death have significance for evaluating their life ; first, that older people are known to have a limited life time and face death ; second that older people are known to have suffered many death-imposed losses that are often associated with the dying process. In considering these implications, the level of anxiety regarding death and dying is a crucial factor in determining mental health. In the study, 152 male elderly and 145 female elderly residing in Seoul, Korea was compared on the four dimensions of death anxiety and assigned personal variables. Therefore, the purpose the research was (1) to examine the characteristics of subjects on the independent variables(age, marital status, family relationship, social activities, religiousity etc.) ; (2) to examine the relationship between the independent variables and each dimension of death axniety ; (3) to determine the proportion of variance in the respective of death anxiety which is accounted for by the respective independent variables ; (4) to examine whether a significant difference between the respective independent variables and each dimension of death anxiety has ; (5) to determine the combination of variables which is the most successful in explaining the variance in death anxiety. Finding from this study support the following conclusions; 1. There was a significant differences between the male and female subjects in the level of death anxiety. In turn, the male older adults had lower death anxiety than did the female elderly. This implies that male tend to look forward to death rather than deny it. 2. As there was evidences from several studies, this research found that fear of death decreases as age increases. 3. The following two variables that correlate best with dying anxiety of others in both male and female older adults : 'marriage life', 'social interaction'. 4. The variables 'age' and 'children' for both female and male elderly accounted for the most variance in death anxiety of self. The findings of the study lend this investigator several suggestions, implications and recommendations for future research. There can be no death without life, and conversely, no life without death. Psychologists and health-related professionals may be learn as much about death as they can in order to develop more healthy attitudes and in order to be able to better aid and comfort dying people and their familities. Perhaps most importantly, professionals may be help those who are not faced with death at present to develop an understanding of it and healthy attitudes toward it. The programs of death education are needed for dedication to the evitability of death and the preparation of life for the older adults. More seminars, symposiums and research on death attitudes are needed. Finally, study for female older adults has been negelected topic in the areas of women's study and health education. Future study, for female elderly, have to deeply investigate where those problems come from and how to cope with in order to the female elderly segment can live the rest of their lives in satisfaction with well-being.
