  • In the past, manufacturing-oriented industries focused on improving labor productivity to achieve economic growth. Korea is changing from a labor-intensive industry to a technology-intensive industry in order to occupy a competitive edge compared to other countries. Recently, a lot of investment has been made not only in technology-intensive industries but also in information industries. Therefore, it is developing in various forms such as special technology, platform industry, and virtual reality as a technology-intensive industry and information industry field. In this social phenomenon, the necessity of starting a business using new ideas and technologies is increasing. Therefore, universities also need entrepreneurship education for their students, and it is necessary to investigate how the contents of the university's start-up education support, individual achievement needs, and the degree of acquisition of start-up knowledge affect the establishment of business strategies necessary for start-ups.

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to construct a hypothetical structural model which explains the premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in adolescent girls and to test the fitness with collected data. Methods: The participants were 1,087 adolescent girls from 3 high schools and 5 middle schools in B city. Data were collected from July 3 to October 15, 2012 using self-reported questionnaires and were analyzed using PASW 18.0 and AMOS 16.0 programs. Results: The overall fitness indices of hypothetical model were good (${\chi}^2$ =1555, p<.001), ${\chi}^2$/df=4.40, SRMR=.04, GFI=.91, RMSEA=.05, NFI=.90, TLI=.91, CFI=.92, AIC=1717). Out of 16 paths, 12 were statistically significant. Daily hassles had the greatest impact on PMS in the adolescent girls in this model. In addition, PMS in adolescent girls was directly affected by menarche age, Body Mass Index (BMI), amount of menstruation, test anxiety, social support, menstrual attitude and femininity but not by academic stress. This model explained 27% of the variance in PMS in adolescent girls. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that nursing interventions to reduce PMS in adolescent girls should address their daily hassles, test anxiety, menstrual attitude and BMI. Also, social support from their parents, friends, and teachers needs to be increased.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the sociopsychological factors influencing the compliance of dietary regimen in diabetes by using focus group interviews. The data were collected from fifty three diabetes patients in eleven focus groups from September 1997 to March , 1998 in Seoul and Suwon Korea. The interviews were tape-recorded and the contents of the interviews were analysed by researchers. The subjects knew the causes, complications, and therapies of diabetes although they were incorrect at times . Patients had a wide range of outcome expectations from very optimistic to pessimistic. They recognized diabetes as a disease which needs life-time care, and they though that good care could provide a normal life. One the other hand they thought diabetes could lead to death through complications, and cause financial problems as well as social isolation. As for self-efficacy they recognized the importance of compliance to diet regimen but they thought the diet therapy was very difficult and were not very willing to follow it. They felt medical professionals, especially doctors, were influential for the therapies. However they frequently felt counselling provided by doctors was insufficient in time and content and led to attitude problems. They felt support from families and others was often insufficient and inadequate. Nutrition education fostering outcome expectation, social support, and self-efficacy is needed to increased compliance. The most influential referents were medical professional including doctors, nurses, dieticians, so their role in diet therapy should by emphasized.

  • Livelihood capitals have a clear influence on livelihood development. As for the livelihood results, it has been pointed out in the analysis of the poor households that the ability of people to escape poverty depends especially on the access to livelihood capitals. This study aims to analyze the impacts of livelihood capital on poverty among mountain people who depend on forests through human capital, social capital, natural capital, physical capital and financial capital. This research employs the model of binary regression function. Independent variables x1, x2, …, xn are targets of livelihood strategy, vulnerability context, and livelihood capitals. These variables were selected to be included in the original model with dependent variable Y as poor and non-poor households. This study surveys households living in upland areas, near forests, and households of ethnic minorities. The results show that, out of the poor household rate, nearly 4% are newly-poor households or those falling back into poverty. Therefore, the government needs to pay more attention to this disadvantaged group and implements policies such as education and training policies, credit support policies, policies to support forest development, and payment for forest environmental services in the context of emerging countries like Vietnam.

  • The researches on corporate social responsibility(CSR) focused mostly on its effects on financial performance or consumer's behavior. However relatively few studies have dealt with employee's attitude towards CSR. The purpose of this study is to analyze determinants of hospital employee's attitude towards CSR. The data were collected from 163 employees at a general hospital in Gyeonggi-do from June 18 to July 18 in 2012. For the statistical analysis of data, t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were implemented. The result of hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows that first, perceived management support and direct benefits were positively related to the attitude towards the acceptance of CSR while interruption of work was negatively related. Second, as interruption of work was controlled, the statistically significant relationship between clinical department and attitude towards the acceptance of CSR was disappeared. In order to accommodate CSR in hospitals, first, the enterprise-wide support is more effective rather than expecting the action of each employee. Second, hospitals should provide the education about CSR to let employees expect direct benefits such as improving of their moral sense. Third, the burden of work causing interruption needs to be managed to cause employees to accept CSR.

The data were obtained through 510 female students living in Gwangju. The major findings were as follows: 1) Women's needs of job-seeking were very intensive but their preparation level was relatively low. Colleges' support system and organization utility were uneffective because their programs were not specified for women. Women generally recognized that social improvement for gender equality in employment system were very important and more practical methods and contents were demanded in education for job-seeking. 2) Women's grade and major were significant variables in the differences of job preparation, consciousness of job-seeking, social support and appraisals. Therefore, college supporting systems must consider students' characteristics. 3) The job-seeking mechanisms must be changed to more effective systems for the achievement of gender equality. Also community members, colleges and students should make collaborate endeavors for the women empowerment.
