본 연구는 기존의 Hofstede(1980, 1991), Schwartz(1992, 1994), Trompenaars & Hampden-Turner (1997), House et al.(2004) 등과 같은 국가 간 비교문화연구가 한국과 같은 비서구권 문화를 설명하는 데에는 한계가 있다는 인식 하에 한국사회의 문화적 특성을 발견하여 범주화 및 개념화를 시도하였다. 한국사회의 문화적 특성에 대한 기존의 국내연구들은 연구자의 경험과 직관에 의한 발견적인(heuristic) 접근방법이라는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 한국사회의 문화적 특성을 보다 타당하게 기술할 수 있는 범주를 찾기 위해 문화합의이론을 적용하였다. 구체적으로 자유목록에 대한 빈도분석, 파일분류, 다차원척도법 및 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 결과적으로 한국문화는 '공적자아인식, 집단중시, 온정적 인간관계, 위계성 중시, 결과중시' 라는 5개의 범주로 구분할 수 있었다. 한국문화의 특성에 대한 이러한 범주의 발견은 앞으로 한국사회현상을 설명하는데 중요한 변수로 응용되고 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

본 논문은 현재 우리사회에서 문제가 대두되고 있는 준법의식의 약화에 대한 설명과 관련될 수 있는 다양한 관점의 심리학적 이론들 비교분석하고, 특히 준법의식 약화에서 인지부조화 기제의 역할에 대한 이론적 실증적 연구들을 개관요약하였다. 이를 위해 범죄의 현상과 원인을 설명하는 고전이론, 유전학과 생물학적 이론과 정신분석학, 성격이론, 지능/도덕성 발달, 의사결정이론 과 같은 심리학적 이론들의 특성과 준법과 위법행동의 다양한 측면을 통합적으로 비교하였다. 이런 이론들이 현재의 범죄행동에 대한 설명을 제공하는데 초점을 맞춘다면, 사회학습이론과 인지부조화 이론은 직간접의 경험을 통한 준법의식의 변화에 대한 설명을 제공해 주고 있다. 특히 과거의 위법행동이 준법의식과 인지부조화와 부정적 각성을 일으키고, 이 각성을 없애기 위한 준법의식의 변화시킨다는 인지부조화적 관점은 사소한 법규위반이 낮아지는 준법의식의 부분적 원인이라는 것이 일련의 연구들을 통해 검증 되었다. 이런 인지부조화의 이론적 틀이 법률입안과 정책제안에 제안하는 시사점들을 논의하였다.

Child care in Korea has been officially institutionalized due to the legislation of the Child Care Act in 1991. Since then, the predominant social phenomena such as growing female workforce, more intensified female education, and the low birth rates have led the stronger demand for child care at the national level. Accordingly, the supply of child care services and the demand of families using the services have increased dramatically, producing enhancement of the quality of child care via improved and extended laws and regulations. Such movements have arisen academic interests and policy issues to specific sectors with details including child care policies, curriculum and professionals working with young children at child care centers, needs of children and their families attending child care centers, and program evaluations.

The purpose of this study is to analyze typologic methods in the Family Studies. For this goal, we reviewed literatures related to social research methodology, and analyzed articles in the Family Studies part on the basis of themes and typologic methods. The major resets can be summarized as follow: Typology methods used to clarify complex and subtle family phenomena and distinguish redundant interaction in everyday life. Especially, they can show family system type, communication mode style, leisure activity type, life altitude type, and personality traits type. Typology was made by the methods as follow: the insight, crossing the two single question, intersecting scale's mean or middle point, cluster analysis, and factor analysis. Typology is useful method in the Family Studies, but the accuracy standard needs in the future studies.

The nation's birthrate has been rapidly falling. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors related to low birthrate, by analyzing TV dramas dealing with childbirth and rearing. Content analysis is well suited to research probing widespread cultural notions or behavior. If any part or all of the dramas discussed an aspect of childbirth and rearing, we recorded verbatim quotes and paraphrased some specific points. Using the technique of multiple observers, inter rater as well as intra rater reliabilities were measured. The results showed that emergent themes in TV dramas on low birthrate are social environment, family context, and value changes. The conclusions and implications of these findings are discussed.

Department store service is undergoing a rapidly changing social phenomena that is, the qualitative evaluation is getting more attention than the quantitative evaluation. Therefore, in this study, a standard has been prepared according to a service quality evaluation and the result has been analyzed to prepare major points for quality improvement. The differences in perception between department store consumers and department store employees were verified based on these factor categories. Also an attempt was made to reveal the relationship between satisfaction and service quality. When considering all the results of this study, the department store consumers and the department store employees perceived service quality differently from each other. The result is that the characteristics of the users and the suppliers reflect exactly as they are because of the characteristic of the distribution environment.

This study aims to discussion the characteristics of location and spatial organization of the Byeong San confucian academy. To do this, we studied in two ways; analysis of the present conditions and photographing, research materials about the form of physical structure and review of historical documents. The result of analysis in the sight of the location and spatial structure was good matched. The spatial organization of the Byeong San confucian academy was divided into lecturing space and sacrificial space. In the Mandaeru on Byeong San confucian academy was imported borrowed scenery of surrounding landscape and while placed arranging various constituent elements of the small-scale pond and visual perception in trying to formalize the landscape. The result of this study, analysis of axis and terrace shows backgrounds of these locations shows that the political and social, economical phenomena were influenced to the locations and spatial organization of the Byeong San Confucian Academy.

With accumulated nursing research results from older adults, refined middle range nursing theories are evolving in gerontological nursing area. Three middle range nursing theories and framework were reviewed and described. Life transition framework for older adults were developed through research related to relocation and other transitions taken place in later life. Self-efficacy exercise model was developed by extensive research related to rehabilitation of older adults based on self efficacy expectations and outcome expectations concept from social cognition theory. Need-Driven dementia-compromised Behavior (NDB) model was developed by a group of nursing scholars studying dysfunctional behaviors of demented older adults. All of these theories are approaching to practice theory by developing interventions and nursing therapeutics. There are more needs to develop theories for specific gerontological nursing phenomena such as delirium, end of life and self integrity.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and the value of the cultural collage expressed in men's fashion. As for the research methodology, literary research was under taken to study psychoanalytical and socioeconomic contexts in which cultural collage has been formed. In addition, demonstrative studies in men's fashion were undertaken through the analysis of pictures. The cultural collage is defined as a phenomena of making creativity by combining cultures which have no relevance. In psychological and sociological aspects, the rise of the cultural collage is caused by multinational corporation, pluralization of identity, information society, consumer oriented production, consumer society and inundation of kitsch. On the basis of the characteristics and social backgrounds of cultural collage, the aesthetic values of men's fashion can be explained by pluralism de-generalization and relativity.

The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of‘housework’. In order to understand the intrinsic meaning of housework, we have to distinguish between ‘individual meaning’and‘institutional meaning’. The former is related to the concern, intent, habit, need, desire, and motivation of the given individual, while the latter is related to the social value, norm, and convention of human behavior. The majority of the studies on housework have been made by focusing on individual meaning. As the individual meaning of housework has gradually been emphasized, it has been forgotten that‘housework’itself is a very important part of‘home life’, and then the importance of home life has gradually diminished. Housework is naturally carried out in the process of human history, and housework reflect total human wisdom. In other words, it is thought that it is possible to grasp the total meaning of life in housework. Our life can be richer than now by increasing the quantity of philosophical analysis of the phenomena related to housework.
