This study was attempted to investigate the factors that influence on problematic smartphone use and life satisfaction by smartphone usage type. A total of 25,465 people were used for the analysis and analyzed using the R (3.6.1) program. According to the data analysis, problematic smartphone use occurred in the form of leisure activity seeking and information seeking type. On the other hand, the communication type reduced problematic smartphone use. The type of smartphone use that had the greatest influence on life satisfaction was communication type The longer the smartphone use time and the higher the problematic smartphone use, the more negatively the life satisfaction.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the smartphone use patterns of smartphone-dependent children. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The data were derived from the 2017 survey on smartphone over-dependence conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. The study sample was 595 elementary school students identified as being smartphone-dependent. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the independent t-test, the x² test, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The frequency of smartphone use was the factor strongly associated with more severe smartphone dependence in participants. Games were the most commonly used application type among participants, regardless of their degree of dependence. More severe smartphone dependence was associated with greater use of applications such as learning and television/video. Conclusion: As smartphone dependence becomes more severe, children tend to use their smartphones more frequently and to use applications that involve solitary play for the purposes of entertainment and pleasure. The findings suggest that the parents should attentively monitor their children's smartphone use patterns and provide consistent discipline in a way that ensures appropriate smartphone use.

In this paper, we propose a classification analysis method for diagnosing and predicting problematic smartphone use in order to provide policy data on problematic smartphone use, which is getting worse year after year. Attempts have been made to identify key variables that affect the study. For this purpose, the classification rates of Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine among machine learning analysis methods, which are artificial intelligence methods, were compared. The data were from 25,465 people who responded to the '2018 Problematic Smartphone Use Survey' provided by the Korea Information Society Agency and analyzed using the R statistical package (ver. 3.6.2). As a result, the three classification techniques showed similar classification rates, and there was no problem of overfitting the model. The classification rate of the Support Vector Machine was the highest among the three classification methods, followed by Decision Tree and Random Forest. The top three variables affecting the classification rate among smartphone use types were Life Service type, Information Seeking type, and Leisure Activity Seeking type.

Smartphone use has become a part of everyday life, not only for adolescents but also for elderly and older people. Thus, this study explored the effect of demographic variables, the amount of smartphone usage, type of smartphone use and psychosocial variables on smartphone dependence of the elder group. We analyzed the data of 5627 (50s and 60s) of the Internet overdependence survey data of the Korea Information Society Agency in 2016. As a result of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, More frequency of smartphone use of weekday and weekend, and usage time of smartphone of weekday were related to greater smartphone dependence. More smartphone use for information seeking and games were associated with greater smartphone dependence. And, as loneliness and anxiety increased, smartphone dependence increased, while smartphone dependence decreased, as social capital increased. Through this study, it is necessary to understand characteristics related to smartphone dependence of elder and older group, and to use this knowledge to solve their smartphone dependence. Future studies also need to identify the causal relationship between predictors of smartphone dependence in elderly and older people.

Purpose: This study investigated the smartphone using time, troubles with smartphone usage, and related factors in Korean adolescent smartphone users. Methods: Data were obtained from 54,603 subjects aged 13 to 18 years in the 2017 13th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey Results: The study analyzed the school type, academic achievement, residence type, weekly average allowance, and usual counselor, perceived stress, happiness, and depression of the subjects showed a significant difference in the variable of troubles experienced by the smartphone user. Multiple sample logistic regression analysis showed that adolescents with low academic achievement (weekday, weekend OR = 1.78, 1.65), low economic status (weekday, weekend OR = 1.17, 1.37), friends with distress counselors (weekday, weekend OR = 1.29, 1.24), weekly average allowance (weekday, weekend OR = 1.85, 1.50), stressed (weekend OR = 1.25), depressed (weekday, weekend OR = 1.26, 1.14), family troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.14, 1.15), friendship troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.70, 1.38), and academic performance troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.28, 1.38) spent more than the average using time on their smartphones. Conclusion: To prevent overdependence on smartphone use among adolescents, a nursing intervention program that relieves stress and lowers depression should be developed.

The number of domestic smartphone users exceeded 30 million people, and the time in the future everyone will use a smartphone that will come with ago. Past purchase decisions, related research and product from the competition between the past case and the relevant literature for the smartphone market smartphone type to derive a purchase decision factors in the decision to purchase any difference between the factors. Literature and practices through performance, switching costs, product loyalty, design, brand, after-sales service, the price more than 7 variables were analyzed. One hundred people surveyed, respectively, did not obtain the response of a variety of ages and occupations, age of the sample used in the analysis of this study, and is concentrated as a student at the university of smartphones used to facilitate users analysis was done. We expect smartphone companies and related companies to be able to give guidelines for effective technology management.

Due to the explosive growth of smartphone use, new type and format of business opportunity is being created. Despite the creation of added value using smartphone is very important, the past study on smart phone has been mainly focused on its functions and specifications. This study is intended to identify the factors that influence continuance usage intention of smartphone and to analyze the relationship between such factors and the expected confirmation. satisfaction, and usage intention. The result of this empirical study indicates that the perceived enjoyfulness and quality significantly affect users' expected confirmation and satisfaction, and social influence also affects users' continuance usage intention. Thus, it implies users place a high value on enjoyfulness and quality in using smartphone application and on social influence in choosing specific application. Finally this paper provides a detailed account of how customers accept smartphone application and their perceived characteristics affect the usage intention.

The purpose of this study is to compare smartphone addiction tendencies among the subdivided groups of undergraduates according to their lifestyle characteristics integratively. The results of positive analysis are as follows: first, undergraduates' lifestyles were drawn as six factors: the 'economic oriented type', 'aggressive activist type', 'fashion pursuing type', 'self-confident type', 'materialistically oriented type', and 'free will pursuing type'. Second, according to the result of dividing the groups based on the six factors, they were classified into the 'fashion pursing group', 'self-confident group', and 'aggressive, self-confident, and materialistically oriented group'. Third, each of the subdivided groups showed significant difference in smartphone addiction. Generally, the 'fashion pursuing group' indicated higher smartphone addiction tendencies than the other group. The findings of this study can provide fundamental and useful information to solve problems related to smartphone addiction resulted from excessive use of smartphones and causing a lot of troubles socially and also in health.

In order to use Smartphone safely, users have to use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth carefully in the public area. This paper will research how to use App safely and characteristic of risk of worm and Malware spreading. Because of security vulnerabilities of the public key certificate, it will suggest new type of security certification. In order to prevent from the information leakage and infect from Malware in mobile environment without knowing, this thesis will analyze the improved way to manage and use the mobile device.

The number of youth smartphone users has been increasing, and they use smartphone applications to satisfy their various types of information needs. Nevertheless, few researchers have addressed youth information behavior on applications. In this study, the author examined the application use behavior of youth in response to their work- and everyday life- information needs. The author collected 114 completed questionnaires from students enrolled in a middle school and a high school. The survey results show that participants' usage and perception of smartphone applications were high, and they were using information, entertainment, and communication applications to meet their information needs. In particular, their preference for application use differed by the type of information needs. Also, participants were considering cost, easiness, privacy policy, review, information quality, providers, interface design, and recommendation to choose applications. This study confirms the role of smartphone applications as an influential information source, and it also provides useful implications for educators and for application developers.
