Recently, as smart devices are distributed more and more, the need for education of developing contents based on smart media increases. In order to develop contents based on smart media, it is necessary to learn new programming language as well as to understand the structure of platforms as device-manufacturers and communication companies have different platforms. Generally, the problem in education of programming is that it can provide learning to understand the language stage by stage, but it is difficult to suggest a clear result such as completion of learner's project from macroscopic and integrated approach. Especially, there is a difficult of learning several programming languages due to the characteristics of platforms in developing smart contents. Accordingly, in the education of programming for developing smart contents, it is not appropriate to use the traditional teaching method of programming which conducts projects from an integrated point of view after learning the grammatical elements of the language. This paper aims to suggest the top-down teaching method as an effective teaching method for developing contents based on smart media, and to analyze the effect after developing and applying the suggested teaching model.

Smart Work is an extended version of telecommuting or distance work pursuing an objective of work-life balance which is one of the hottest issues in management research. With diffusion of Smart Work, a problem has been raised that Smart Work makes the boundary between work and non-work blur, and may break the balance of work-life. However, work-life balance will be achieved by actively managing the boundary between work and non-work rather than passively taking the consequences. In order to find out whether Smart work improves work-life balance, we need to understand the precedence factors influencing on job satisfaction and the role of boundary management strategy which Smart Workers actively choose. This paper considered the bi-directional permeability between work and non-work domain and developed a research model containing a causal relationship among three factors, job autonomy, job involvement, and job satisfaction, and the moderation effect of boundary management strategy. The results show that both job autonomy and job involvement affect job satisfaction and boundary management strategy which Smart Workers utilize plays a moderating role influencing on job satisfaction.

The demand of smart phone that recently came into spotlight as a new media is sharply increasing not only in Korean market but also in worldwide market but the academic study on this is still in the beginning stage. Hence, it would be a well-timed topic for discussion to make a systematic investigation and analysis. The technology acceptance model used in this study as a theoretical frame can set various external factors in introduction of new information technology as variables. This study made an assumption that such external factors would influence on perceived usefulness, easiness and amusement and such perceived awareness would make an impact on user's satisfaction and repurchase intention. This study proposed an empirical model in order to find out the recommendations and repurchase intention for new media, smart phone. This study model was validated to be very effective model that can explain more concretely and systematically for repurchase of smart phone. In conclusion, this paper illustrates a paradigm shift in smart environment to smart device manufacturers under fierce competition in the world market as well as various analysis results on consumer's use patterns according to such paradigm shift, which shall be utilized as useful information when establishing a marketing strategy for smart phone.
Because smart televisions (TVs) have various and innovative functions that are different from traditional TVs, consumers are front with a complex decision-making problem when they want to buy a best TV among alternatives made by many TV makers. TV manufactures have developed and announced different types of smart TV models and they need a comparative study for evaluating their characteristics. In this paper, we suggest the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method for deciding the best smart TVs regarding many selection criteria. The method provides a decision support for consumers who like to purchase a smart TV. We describe criteria affecting the smart TV selection through a literature review and suggest a user testing method in order to derive accurate judgments from consumers. Using the Expert Choice software package, we show a an numerical example how the priority of smart TVs are computed.

In this paper, we proposed a smart multiple-tap system which a remote user with smartphone can control multiple-taps in order to reduce standby-power consumption more conveniently when plugged-in electric appliances are turned-off. Recently, several researches of smart multiple-tap using IoT technology has reported. However, in these researches, an additional device like as a server computer is necessary, or multiple-taps could be only remotely controlled by smartphone and not directly controlled by on/off switch. The proposed smart multiple-tap system does not need any additional device only if it has a WiFi router, and it can be used for user as well as remote control using smartphone application and physically direct control using contact switches like existing multiple-taps. Our approach is to develop a smart multiple-tap device capable of WiFi communication can each serve as a server or a client, and can be operated by the hybrid switch combining the on/off contact switch and the relay switch. We implemented the prototype of the proposed system composed of the smart multiple-tap device and the smartphone application, and the test of the prototype validates the proposed system.

The considerations of the electrical device' characteristics and the customers' satisfaction have been important criteria for efficient smart grid systems. In general, an electrical device is classified into a non-interruptible device or an interruptible device. The consideration of the type is an essential information for the efficient smart grid scheduling. In addition, customers' scheduling preferences or satisfactions have to be considered simultaneously. However, the existing research studies failed to consider both criteria. This paper proposes a new and efficient smart grid scheduling framework considering both criteria. The framework consists of two modules - 1) A day-head smart grid scheduling algorithm and 2) Real-time sudden demand negotiation framework. The first method generates the smart grid schedule efficiently using an embedded genetic algorithm with the consideration of the device's characteristics. Then, in case of sudden electrical demands, the second method generates the more efficient real-time smart grid schedules considering both criteria. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed framework, comparisons with the existing relevant research studies are provided under various electricity demand scenarios.
This article deals with the buckling analysis in the plates containing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) subject to axial load. In order to control the plate smartly, a piezoelectric layer covered the plate. The plate is located in elastic medium which is modeled by spring elements. The Mori-Tanaka low is utilized for calculating the equivalent mechanical characteristics of the plate. The structure is modeled by a thick plate and the governing equations are deduced using Hamilton's principle under the assumption of higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT). The Navier method is applied to obtain the bulking load. The effects of the applied voltage to the smart layer, agglomeration and volume percent of CNT nanoparticles, geometrical parameters and elastic medium of the structure are assessed on the buckling response. It has been demonstrated that by applying a negative voltage, the buckling load is increased significantly.

This study is to develop a diagnostic model for the effective introduction of smart factories in the manufacturing industry, to diagnose SMEs that have difficulties in building their own smart factory compared to large enterprise, to identify the current level and to present directions for implementation. IT, AT, and OT experts diagnosed 18 SMEs using the "Smart Factory Capacity Diagnosis Tool" developed for smart factory level assessment of companies. They analyzed the results and assessed the level by smart factory diagnosis categories. Companies' smart factory diagnostic mean score is 322 out of 1000 points, between 1 level (check) and 2 level (monitoring). According to diagnosis category, Factory Field Basic, R&D, Production/Logistics/Quality Control, Supply Chain Management and Reference Information Standardization are high but Strategy, Facility Automation, Equipment Control, Data/Information System and Effect Analysis are low. There was little difference in smart factory level depending on whether IT system was built or not. Also, Companies with large sales amount were not necessarily advantageous to smart factories. This study will help SMEs who are interested in smart factory. In order to build smart factory, it is necessary to analyze the market trends, SW/ICT and establish a smart factory strategy suitable for the company considering the characteristics of industry and business environment.
