AI Smart Factory Model for Integrated Management of Packaging Container Production Process

  • We propose the AI Smart Factory Model for integrated management of production processes in this paper .It is an integrated platform system for the production of food packaging containers, consisting of a platform system for the main producer, one or more production partner platform systems, and one or more raw material partner platform systems while each subsystem of the three systems consists of an integrated storage server platform that can be expanded infinitely with flexible systems that can extend client PCs and main servers according to size and integrated management of overall raw materials and production-related information. The hardware collects production site information in real time by using various equipment such as PLCs, on-site PCs, barcode printers, and wireless APs at the production site. MES and e-SCM data are stored in the cloud database server to ensure security and high availability of data, and accumulated as big data. It was built based on the project focused on dissemination and diffusion of the smart factory construction, advancement, and easy maintenance system promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing sites while we plan to propose this model in the paper to state funding projects for SMEs.

산림 벌목 작업자간 측위 기반 스마트 안전모 (Location-based smart hard hat for deforestation workers)

  • 산림 벌목과 같은 통신이 안되는 고위험 작업장은 작업자의 상황을 실시간으로 모니터링하여 비상상태 발생시 작업자 위치에 따른 정보를 획득하는 장비 활용이 필요하다. 본 논문은 산림 벌목 작업자들이 안전한 작업환경을 유지하기 위한 스마트 안전모의 개발과 실증 실험을 분석한다. 개발된 스마트 안전모는 위치추정을 위해 UWB 신호를 기반으로 작업자의 위치를 파악하며, 작업자 간의 거리를 가깝게 하지 않게 유지하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위해 통신 음영 지역에서도 통신할 수 있도록 UWB, Gyro, LoRa 방법을 사용한다. 산림작업 환경의 작업자 위험 및 위험 저감을 위한 개선된 건설 등 안전 작업환경 제공에 사용한다.

전지형 크레인의 인양물 충돌방지를 위한 환경탐지 센서 시스템 개발 (Collision Avoidance Sensor System for Mobile Crane)

  • Construction machinery is exposed to accidents such as collisions, narrowness, and overturns during operation. In particular, mobile crane is operated only with the driver's vision and limited information of the assistant worker. Thus, there is a high risk of an accident. Recently, some collision avoidance device using sensors such as cameras and LiDAR have been applied. However, they are still insufficient to prevent collisions in the omnidirectional 3D space. In this study, a rotating LiDAR device was developed and applied to a 250-ton crane to obtain a full-space point cloud. An algorithm that could provide distance information and safety status to the driver was developed. Also, deep-learning segmentation algorithm was used to classify human-worker. The developed device could recognize obstacles within 100m of a 360-degree range. In the experiment, a safety distance was calculated with an error of 10.3cm at 30m to give the operator an accurate distance and collision alarm.

스마트팩토리를 위한 데이터 수집 관리 프로그램 개발 (Data Collection Management Program for Smart Factory)

  • As the 4th industrial revolution based on ICT is progressing in the manufacturing field, interest in building smart factories that can be flexible and customized according to customer demand is increasing. To this end, it is necessary to maximize the efficiency of factory by performing an automated process in real time through a network communication between engineers and equipment to be able to link the established IT system. It is also necessary to collect and store real-time data from heterogeneous facilities and to analyze and visualize a vast amount of data to utilize necessary information. Therefore, in this study, four types of controllers such as PLC, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and embedded system, which are generally used to build a smart factory that can connect technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and big data, are configured. This study was conducted for the development of a program that can collect and store data in real time to visualize and manage information. For communication verification by controller, data communication was implemented and verified with the data log in the program, and 3D monitoring was implemented and verified to check the process status such as planned quantity for each controller, actual quantity, production progress, operation rate, and defect rate.

합성곱 신경망을 이용한 정사사진 기반 균열 탐지 기법 (Crack Detection Technology Based on Ortho-image Using Convolutional Neural Network)

  • Visual inspection methods have limitations, such as reflecting the subjective opinions of workers. Moreover, additional equipment is required when inspecting the high-rise buildings because the height is limited during the inspection. Various methods have been studied to detect concrete cracks due to the disadvantage of existing visual inspection. In this study, a crack detection technology was proposed, and the technology was objectively and accurately through AI. In this study, an efficient method was proposed that automatically detects concrete cracks by using a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) with the Orthomosaic image, modeled with the help of UAV. The concrete cracks were predicted by three different CNN models: AlexNet, ResNet50, and ResNeXt. The models were verified by accuracy, recall, and F1 Score. The ResNeXt model had the high performance among the three models. Also, this study confirmed the reliability of the model designed by applying it to the experiment.

  • 스마트 팩토리의 중요성이 강조됨에 따라, 스마트 팩토리 구축을 위해 산업용 Ethernet 기반 장치의 활용이 증가할 것으로 전망되고 있다. PROFINET은 SIEMENS사에서 개발한 산업용 이더넷 프로토콜이며, 현재 다수의 스마트 팩토리가 PROFINET 기반 제품으로 구축되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 산업용 사물인터넷(Industrial IoT) 기반의 다양한 서비스 개발 및 활용을 위해 PROFINET 기반의 제조 장비에서 각종 센서 데이터 및 정보를 수집하여 엣지 컴퓨터로 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 IIoT 디바이스가 필요하며, IIoT의 주요 메시징 프로토콜인 MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)를 활용한 데이터 수집 IIoT 디바이스 개발 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

IoT Makes Life Simpler: How to Improve the Chinese Consumer's Intention to Use of LG HomNet Smart Home

  • Purpose - The paper aims to develop the theory of TAM and perceived risk through a more comprehensive and rigorous understanding of the influencing factors of the consumer's adoption of LG HomNet smart home from the perspective of trade-offs. Design/methodology - Based on the TAM and perceived risk theory, combined with the individual characteristics of consumers in the context of information technology as the external factors of the technology acceptance model, this paper constructs a theoretical model of the factors affecting the use intention of the consumer. It was empirically tested by using SEM, and survey data was collected from 458 respondents. Findings - The research results show that 9 hypotheses of the research model are supported and have reliable prediction accuracy. Consumers' perceived interest, perceived connectivity and perceived controllability have a significant positive impact on their intention to use. In addition, this paper also confirmed the mediating effect of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Originality/value - Consumers are very concerned about gains and losses. Low-level performance risks, security risks, and financial risks will drive the consumer to have a stronger intention to use, and financial risks have the strongest impact. This research provides a useful implication and guidance for smart home equipment manufacturers and service providers in product and service innovation and marketing and promotion strategies.

스마트팩토리 기반 CPPS를 활용한 Digital Twin 플랫폼 개발 (Development of Digital Twin platform using Smart Factory based CPPS)

  • 본 논문에서는 ICT(Information Communication Technology) 기술을 이용하여 스마트팩토리 기반 CPPS(Cyber Pysical Production System)를 활용한 Digital-Twin 플랫폼 개발과 관련된 연구를 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 플랫폼은 선행 제조 공정 계획 단계부터 BOP(Bill of Process) 관리 기능을 포함하여 P3R(Product, Process, Plant, Resource)을 연계한 3D Model 시뮬레이션 기능을 수행한다. 또한 생산 공정, 설비, 레이아웃, 생산량 예측이 가능한 Digital Twin 플랫폼을 제안한다. 본 논문을 통해 제안된 플랫폼은 초기 계획 설계 단계에서부터 제조, 생산, 운영 및 유지보수 단계까지의 전체 스마트팩토리 제조 공정을 관리할 수 있는 특징을 제안하였다.

  • 최근 4차 산업혁명 시대에 부응하여 스마트 팩토리 수요가 증가하고 있다. 스마트 팩토리는 기본적으로 방대한 데이터를 기반으로 하는 제조업으로 많은 데이터 처리를 위한 IT 서비스를 필요로 하게 되고 이는 데이터센터의 건립을 가속화하고 있다. 데이터센터의 전산장비는 발열부하와 사용시간 측면에서 일반적인 시설의 냉방 기술과는 다른 차원으로 접근이 필요하다. 본 연구는 최근 데이터센터 냉방 시스템 설계에서 검토해야 할 요인과 기술 변화 트렌드를 조사하고 사례기업의 시설 구성을 위한 각종 기술적 방식을 비교 검토하여 설계안을 결정하는 프로세스를 도출하고 결론에 해당하는 개념 설계안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The locking performance of a multi-plate clutch with a mechanical lock-up system is governed by the engagement algorithm. In this paper, a control algorithm to improve the locking performance of the clutch was studied. A 1D dynamic model was constructed and simulated according to the developed algorithm. The developed algorithm was composed of a method in which the locking device is engaged while generating artificial slip on the friction plate by controlling the piston pressure of the clutch. Furthermore, a case study of the parameters within the developed algorithm was conducted to explore combinations that maximize locking performance and analyze trends according to these parameters.
