Design of Runner Game using Overlap Circle in Unity3D

  • In this paper, we design a 2D one touch runner game which controls on smart device easily using a Unity3D game engine. Unity is the creator of the world's widely-used 2D and the 3D cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies. Also, Unity builds high-quality 2D and 3D games on a various hardware device. This paper shows the familiar character as a cartoon and feels to enjoy using platformer with various game users. we show that the proposed platformer method improve controlling game path on the smart device.

  • People want to control various facilities regardless location in ubiquitous era. Therefore we have a various devices embedded wireless functions. In this paper we implement a control program in a PDA that used Wireless LAN among wireless protocols. The objectives of this paper are: The first, to make a control program in server and a wireless client (PDA) using WLAN. The second, to implement smart home model. The third, to propose useful functions in home controls.

  • As inexhaustible clean energy, solar energy will be the most ideal green energy in the 21st century. The effective method to convert solar energy into electrical energy is by solar photovoltaic power generation technologies. LED Emitting Diode is a kind of component which can transform electricity into visible light. As the smart current control system for photovoltaic street lights, the proposed system has improved the battery charging and discharging mechanism to extend the lifespan and effectively controls the LED discharge current according to battery charge state and lighting.

Direct Power Control Scheme of Improved Command Tracking Capability for PMSG MV Wind turbines

  • This paper proposes a Direct Power Control (DPC) scheme of improved command tracking capability for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) Medium Voltage (MV) Wind Turbines. Benchmarking is performed based on a neutral point clamped three-level back-to-back type voltage source converter. It is introduced to design the DPC modeling and propose DPC scheme of a three-level NPC (3L-NPC) converter. During the fault condition in wind farms, the proposed control scheme directly controls the generated output power to the command value from the hierarchical wind farm controller. The proposed control scheme is compared with conventional control scheme as respect to loss and thermal analysis. The DPC scheme of improved command tracking capability is confirmed through PLECS simulations. Simulation result shows that proposed control scheme achieves a much shorter transient time in a step response of generated output power. The proposed control scheme makes it possible to provide a good dynamic performance for PMSG MV wind turbine to generate a high quality output power under grid fault condition.

  • 개방하드웨어 제어기인 아두이노와 센서들을 이용하여 자동으로 급수 및 조명을 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 이미 많은 활용이 되고 있는 기존의 식물공장과 같은 대규모 재배 시스템이 아니고 아파트와 같은 실내에서 사용되고 있는 점을 고려하여 기능성은 물론 미관을 고려한 설계를 수행하였고, 이를 위하여 최근 각광받는 사물인터넷 기술과 스마트폰 앱을 이용한 자동화된 장비로의 개발을 수행하였다.

Channel-adaptive Image Compression for Wireless Transmission

  • This paper presents computationally efficient image compression for wireless transmission of high-definition video, to adaptively utilize available channel bandwidth and improve image quality. The method indirectly predicts an unknown available channel bandwidth by monitoring encoder buffer status, and adaptively controls a quantization parameter to fully utilize the bandwidth. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to variations in channel bandwidth.

  • Many methodologies have been explored to reduce helicopter vibration. Trailing edge flaps for such a purpose have been studied for the past twenty years. A brief overview of the introduction of active vibration controls using trailing edge flaps and smart actuators is presented in series. This is the fourth article, in which a piezoelectric resonant actuation system with a buckling-beam motion amplifier for active trailing edge flaps is presented.

  • Even though the existing train route controlling method, using track circuits, ensures the sufficient number of operation, it still has problems such as discordance between train numbers which was planned for operating and train numbers being operated on the track, and allowing only one train entering for one route. To solve those problems, we study and develop the Smart train route controlling system which uses the real-time informations of train positions. This system enables improve the coefficient of utilization in a certain train route controlling section, and the safety level of train route controlling, but we should ensure satisfying reliability of data about tracks operated by trains. In addition, there is a need to protect accidents caused by erroneous information of train position, by reflecting changes of tracks, for example maintenance, improvement, expansion of tracks. In this paper, we describes data structure of a developed program which required to change CAD files to wiring diagrams and to generate them to data of tracks. And we show the result that the simulator, using the data structure, controls speed and route of trains without problems.

Modeling, Control and Simulation of Microturbine Generator for Distributed Generation System in Smart Grid Application

  • Microturbines system (MTS) are currently being deployed as small scale on-site distributed generators for microgrids and smart grids. In order to fully exploit DG potentialities, advanced integrated controls that include power electronics facilities, communication technologies and advanced modeling are required. Significant expectations are posed on gas microturbines that can be easily installed in large commercial and public buildings. Modeling, control, simulation of microturbine generator based distributed generation system in smart grid application of buildings for both grid-connected and islanding conditions are presented. It also incorporates modeling and simulation of MT with a speed control system of the MT-permanent magnet synchronous generator to keep the speed constant with load variation. Model and simulations are performed using MATLAB, Simulink and SimPowerSystem software package. The model is built from the dynamics of each part with their interconnections. This simplified model is a useful tool for studying the various operational aspects of MT and is also applicable with building cooling, heating and power (BCHP) systems

  • 스마트무인기의 출력제어계통은 터보프롭 항공기와 유사한 피치 가버닝 개념으로 조종사가 엔진출력을 직접 조절하고 제어기는 프로펠러의 회전속도를 일정하게 유지하는 방식을 사용한다. PW206C 엔진은 회전익 항공기에 맞게 개발된 전자식엔진제어기를 갖춘 터보축 엔진으로 스마트무인기에서 요구되는 엔진제어개념과는 맞지 않는다. 따라서 엔진 출력을 전기식 작동기를 엔진의 출력조절레버에 연결하여 조절하는 수동방식을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 엔진성능계산프로그램을 사용하여 엔진출력축속도, 비행고도 및 비행속도변화에 대한 엔진성능을 계산하여 각 비행조건에서의 출력조절레버각의 작동범위를 예측한다.
