  • The study investigated the impact of ESG management activities on the non-financial performance of organizations, focusing on small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. Using data from 78 survey responses, the following results were summarized. Firstly, ESG management activities positively influenced internal customer satisfaction. The correlation coefficient was .679, indicating a moderately strong correlation, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was .461, explaining 46.1% of the variance. Additionally, with a beta value of .679, a t-value of 8.058, and a p-value of .000, ESG management activities had a statistically significant impact on internal customer satisfaction. Secondly, ESG management activities also had a positive impact on corporate trust. The correlation coefficient was .695, indicating a moderately strong correlation, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was .483, explaining 48.3% of the variance. The beta value was .695, the t-value was 8.429, and the significance probability was .000, indicating a significant influence on corporate trust. The study aimed to shed light on the relationship between ESG management activities of small and medium-sized enterprises and their non-financial performance. These results suggest that companies can enhance internal customer satisfaction and corporate trust through fulfilling social responsibilities and practicing sustainable management.

  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a system that companies can use to measure and control critical production activities. This paper shows case study of implementation of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and its methodology in a medium sized production company. This study focused on two important things in MES implementation. First, it provides critical success factors (CSFs) and construction method for success of MES implementation. Second, it presents guidelines for MES implementation in small and medium-size company. Some of the benefits with regards to MES implementation and its results are introduced in the end of this paper.

  • Background: In the early stage of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic, small- and midsized enterprises (SMEs) may be an important transmission consideration. The study aimed to identify the pattern of COVID-19 prevention measures during the outbreaks in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do at the early stage of COVID-19. Moreover, we investigated whether SME size and past experiences affected the preventive measures implemented in the region. Methods: A survey detailing the general characteristics and implementation of 12 preventive activities was conducted in 122 SMEs in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. The survey was analyzed by size and operation period. Results: The study subjects consisted of 53 (43.4%) workplaces with 1-5 employees, 50 (40.9%) workplaces with 6-30 employees, and 19 (15.6%) workplaces with 31-49 employees. The lowest three items among those surveyed were 'symptomatic workers to stay home for 3-4 days' (17.2%), 'work remotely' (18.9%), and 'video meetings' (20.5%). There were significant differences in the rate of several preventive measures implemented. The larger sized SMEs, the higher the number of implementations (p < 0.01). The operation period had no significant relationship with the implementation of preventive measures. The same pattern was observed in multiple generalized linear regression with covariate adjustment. Conclusion: Preventive measures among SMEs with fewer than 50 employees were identified. Even within SMEs, a gap in preventive measures according to size was confirmed. To prevent the spread of infection and protect workers' right to health, different support for different sized SMEs is necessary.

  • Several studies have investigated the success of ASP from various perspectives. This study, thus, investigated factors affecting ASP effectiveness in various literature relevant ASP and outsourcing. By applying the basic ideas of the IS success model, this study proposes a research model of the factors affecting the success of ASP, in term of internal factors(Top Management Involvement, User Participation, Size of Organization, IS Maturity) and Reliability factors(Transaction Reliability, After-Sale Reliability, System Reliability, Security). The proposed model is expected to provide a guideline to researchers and practitioners extend their understanding of the success factors of the ASP effectiveness.

  • This paper is a report on in-progress investigation on antecedents of IS success in small and medium size enterprises. Previous studies on IS success in SME context largely extends research models derived from a large enterprise context. This research applies the grounded theory approach to 1109 ISP outputs exploring SME specific constructs in successful IS implementation and management. When successful, results of this research will provide insights into theories of IS in SME context that may practically applicable to IS practice in SMEs.
