The improper use of input and output factors in DEA has a critical and negative impact on the efficiency measurement and the discernment of decision making units(DMUs) : hence the proper selection Process of the factors should precede the actual applications of DEA. In this paper, we propose a new approach to selecting proper factors based on Tofallis' partial efficiency evaluation method(1996). With the approach, the factors aye clustered by measuring their respective partial efficiencies and analyzing the rank correlations of them. The method and procedure we propose in this paper are then applied to measure the efficiencies of the public libraries in Seoul District area, and the results show that the proposed approach can provide meaningful information to improve discernment of the DMUs while using less number of input factors (and less information). The proposed method can be effectively used in the situation where the number of the DMUs to be considered is relatively small compared to the number of available input and output factors, which usually lessens the power to identify the inefficient units in DEA.

Numerous lead compounds, based on multipurpose privileged structures, can be generated that address a variety of targets from a gene family of interest, irrespective of therapeutic area. Solid-phase organic synthesis has been emerged as a powerful technique in generating combinatorial libraries of small organic molecules useful for drug discovery. Heterocyclic compounds provide scaffolds on which pharmacophores can be arranged to yield potent and selective drugs and a variety of heterocycles have been synthesized on solid support. (omitted)

본 연구는 작은도서관의 장서부족문제를 개선할 현실적 대안으로 작은도서관과 공공도서관 간의 상호대차 서비스 활성화를 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 상호대차의 개념과 유형을 논하고, 서울시 구립공공도서관의 상호대차 서비스 현황을 파악한다. 사례연구로 관내 상호대차 서비스를 수행하는 서울시 산하 구립 공공도서관 3곳을 비교 분석하고, 담당 사서들과의 인터뷰를 통해 지역 내 상호대차 서비스의 개선 방안을 제시한다.

본 연구는 작은도서관 운영자의 직무 현황을 파악하고 IPA 기법을 바탕으로 직무 인식도를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 선행연구와 관련 문헌을 종합, 분석하여 작은도서관의 직무를 '계획 및 행정', '회계', '전산 관리', '자료 조직 및 자료 관리', '이용자 서비스', '이용자 프로그램'으로 구분하고 36개의 직무요소로 세분화하였다. 이들 직무요소의 IPA 결과, '계획 및 행정', '이용자 서비스', '이용자 프로그램'에 해당하는 직무요소의 중요도-수행도가 가장 높으며 '회계'와 '전산 관리'에 해당하는 직무요소의 중요도-수행도가 가장 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 분석한 작은도서관 운영자의 직무인식도는 작은도서관 운영 개선을 위한 논의의 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.

In this paper, we present a case study of developing MVIS (Machine Vision Inspection System) designed for exterior quality inspection of stamping dies used in the production of automotive exterior components in a small to medium-sized factory. While the primary processes within the factory, including machining, transportation, and loading, have been automated using PLCs, CNC machines, and robots, the final quality inspection process still relies on manual labor. We implement the MVIS with general-purpose industrial cameras and Python-based open-source libraries and frameworks for rapid and low-cost development. The MVIS can play a major role on improving throughput and lead time of stamping dies. Furthermore, the processed inspection images can be leveraged for future process monitoring and improvement by applying deep learning techniques.

According to the rapid increase of foreign immigrants, South Korea recently has grown more and more interested in the acceptance of cultural diversity in diverse fields at the whole society. Korea Library Association also has sought the way of multicultural service for foreign immigrants in libraries and many previous researches has suggested those. This paper examines the ways in which small community library functions for foreign immigrants, analyzing on the case of multicultural library located in Wongok-dong, Ansan-si, where about 80% population of residents are foreign immigrants. Ansan multicultural library has two functions in the community. One is the educational place for helping immigrants' settlement and adaptation of South Korea. The other is the cultural place for social integration between immigrants and South Koreans based on mutual understanding and communication. Ultimately this paper shows how values small library in the community has significantly for foreign immigrants.

In Seoul, the capital of South Korea, developers of apartment complexes are responsible for including community facilities - senior citizen centers, child care centers, small libraries, and so forth - according to the current Regulations on the Housing Construction Standard Article 2 and 55. These standards have long required certain community facilities, depending on the number of households in each apartment complex, without fully considering whether such provisions meet that community's needs. In this study, we aimed to reveal whether the current provision of community facilities responds to local preference. We conducted surveys of residents in randomly selected ten apartment complexes in Seoul to determine residents' preferences on community facilities using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). We then compared the survey results with these complexes' current facilities. Our findings showed mismatches between residents' preferences and provisions: outdoor sports facilities, child care centers, and small libraries were found to be strongly preferred, but not provided in some apartment complexes within the study, whereas less-preferred facilities such as senior citizen centers were provided in all complexes. Through this study, we could conclude that current standards regarding the provision of community facilities in Seoul's apartment complexes should be altered to reflect the preferences of residents in apartment complexes.

This is a study to establish the feasibility in terms of the use of the J library, which will be built in Jurye-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan. Accordingly, this study conducted a community analysis and user survey to confirm the necessity of building a library and suggested directions for services that the library should provide in the future. To this end, a community analysis was conducted primarily on Sasang-gu, such as population distribution status, cultural institution status, and Sasang-gu vision. Afterwards, visitors to Sasang Library, Small Library, and Community Center were surveyed on the status of use of existing public libraries and the awareness of J Library to be built in the future. As a result of the survey, the necessity and intention to use J Library were found to be high, and the expectation for prompt provision of sufficient printed materials such as books and magazines was the highest. In the case of the desired space, the demand for 'open space' and 'small meeting space(family room)' was high, In the case of specialized services, there was a high demand for humanities, arts & music, movies, etc., but it was shown that they showed a general interest in various fields.

In this study, we attempted to propose operational directions for each space in order to transform the newly built library in Yangpyeong-gun into a space for cultural enjoyment and creativity development for local residents. To this end, the purpose is to understand the space composition status of Yangpyeong-gun public libraries and establish an operation plan (draft) for the space to be constructed. To this end, we analyzed the names, operation status, and cases of similar spaces in other libraries, and analyzed the spatial characteristics of library cases to establish a space operation plan for the Yangpyeong-gun public library. As a result of the study, it is important to utilize spaces such as children's resource rooms to improve early reading habits for infants and children, contribute to development, and develop various senses, and small theaters should be planned with a focus on large-scale performances. Furniture and space for reading and relaxation should be provided next to Byeokmyeonga & Bookstair, and it should be operated as a communication space where small talk is possible within a certain limit. It is necessary to operate the multipurpose room by activating experiential creative activities and creative performances. It is necessary for the club room to establish an operation plan through regular communication and opinion sharing. The maker space space is a space that supports various creative activities, and the general data room is a place that provides materials on all topics and must be operated by regularly communicating with users and reflecting their opinions. Lastly, I would like to suggest that the family room should be used like a book cafe where children and parents can freely drink tea together in the same space.

Elderly welfare housing refers to a residential facility with diverse medical and welfare services for cohabitation of elderly. Especially, community shared spaces in the elderly welfare housing plays an important role as a place for community and leisure activities that enhance vitality of elderly life. The purpose of this study was to investigate types, planning characteristics and actual utilization of community shared spaces in for-profit elderly welfare housing. Eight for-profit elderly welfare housing facilities in Seoul and Gyeonggi province were selected for this study and categorized into small-, medium- and large-scale facilities based on the number of housing units. Community shared spaces in the elderly welfare housing were classified into six space types: social space, education space, exercise space, medical space, convenience space and leisure space. Findings are as follows. Small-scale elderly welfare housing facilities with less than 100 housing units had fitness centers, clinics, restaurants, convenience stores and hobby rooms which were required by law. All community shared spaces were planned on a single level. Fitness centers was found the most frequently used while the other spaces were not used very frequently. Medium-scale facilities with 100 to 299 housing units had multi-purpose halls, libraries, swimming pools, indoor and/or outdoor driving ranges, physical therapy centers, saunas, karaokes and so on. Most community shared spaces were found frequently used. Large-scale facilities with 300 or more housing units had religion rooms, community halls, hair salons, pharmacies, etc. In most facilities, community shared spaces were planned in distributed locations.
