The purpose of this study is to develop a dress form for elderly women according to their somatotype to be used for improving the fit of garments and patterns. Analyzing each somatotype, there was a significant difference among the 4 somatotypes in most of measure items. Bend-forward Group had shorter front length items. Abdomen-fat Group had lower upper-body values than Average Group and similar lower-body values to Fat Group. In most items except height, Fat Group had the biggest values. Analyzing the mean cross-section according to the section measurement parts, no difference existed in shoulder part and under bust part. However, in upper bust, bust, waist, abdomen, high hip, and hip parts, a significant difference existed. Also, according to the results of the mean cross-section as well as the average cross overlap section for each somatotype, there was a significant difference among the four somatotypes. Thus, Abdomen-fat Group and Fat Group were similar, while Bend-forward Group and Average Group were alike. According to the increase of age, lower body tended to have more conspicuous changes. Analyzing the profile of somatotypes, there existed a obvious significant difference among the 4 somatotypes, implying that the characteristics of somatotype need to be reflected when to develop dress forms for elderly women. Therefore, these differences must be an essential factor in pattern design. Comparing the current dress form with the dress form developed with simulation, we could find that a dress form developed for elderly women which reflects the characteristics of body shape is much better than a dress form developed by simple size variation such as small, medium and large size divisions to improve the fit of garments and pattern designs.

Biophotonics is an emerging area in a fusion of biology and photonics, especially in advanced bioimaging, optical biosensors, photomodulation, and biochip optical read-out, and optical manipulation. This emerging area also creates many opportunities for interdisciplinary study of biology and photonics. Micro-Electro-Mechanical-System(MEMS) is an attractive technology in miniaturizing sensors and actuactors. For last decade, it has contributed to the development for active and passive small and integrated optical components in optical communication. Recently, this technology is also merging into biology for high sensitive biosensing and high resolution and fast bioimaging in small form factor. In this talk, some key advantages of small optical components and recent biophotonic MEMS achievement will be discussed for miniaturized advanced biophotonic systems.
Visible light identification (VLID) is a user identification system for a door lock application using smartphone that adopts visible light communication (VLC) technology with the objective of high security, small form factor, and cost effectiveness. The user is verified by the identification application program of a smartphone via fingerprint recognition or password entry. If the authentication succeeds, the corresponding encoded visible light signals are transmitted by a light emitting diode (LED) camera flash. Then, only a small size and low cost photodiode as an outdoor interface converts the light signal to the digital data along with a comparator, and runs the authentication process, and releases the lock. VLID can utilize powerful state-of-the-art hardware and software of smartphones. Furthermore, the door lock system is allowed to be easily upgraded with advanced technologies without its modification and replacement. It can be upgraded by just update the software of smartphone application or replacing the smartphone with the latest one. Additionally, wireless connection between a smartphone and a smart home hub is established automatically via Bluetooth for updating the password and controlling the home devices. In this paper, we demonstrate a prototype VLID door lock system that is built up with LEGO blocks, a photodiode, a comparator circuit, Bluetooth module, and FPGA board.

Animation is a field of popular visual art that is established in human life, and the form of characters appearing is an important factor that is highly anticipated by the public. Designing animation characters according to aesthetic characteristics not only satisfies people's aesthetic needs but can also increase their artistic immersion in animation works. In addition, animation storytelling is delivered around characters and enhances the value of the work by encouraging more public to focus on it. In this paper, we tried to analyze the design elements of Minions characters to derive the reason why they are loved by the public. Among the morphological characteristics of bicepsin characters, a study was conducted on the fact that bicepsin characters visually express 'cute' through the study of infantile eating and color. The visual cuteness elements of a bisung character will soon be linked to the psychological satisfaction of the audience's work and will be a factor in the appreciation of the value of the work. By studying the elements of expression that represent isosin characters, I would like to discuss the factors that help the audience to immerse and get satisfaction with the characters. This will be used as an important factor for an animation character to have for the audience and will reveal its value. Second-class animation images belong to the art of small pieces, suitable for all the audience to enjoy. The two-size animated image has a strong appeal and entertainment, is a confusing visual attribute, can stimulate the audience's five senses. Compared with the actors in the movie, the visual form of the animation is more important.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the issues concerning feminine forms of nouns which indicates occupations in French. In distinguishing the French masculine and feminine forms, many linguistic issues about feminizing occupational nouns became a hot issue among scholars. However, reasonably logical and effective methods to solve such issues are not suggested yet. The first part is focused on how the feminine forms were historically altered to investigate changing process of nouns representing jobs. Through this, we found that the occupational nouns' feminization is quite related to the social big changes, the woman's social condition and reality reflecting on languages periodically. We discussed the important factors deciding such changes, such as semantic, linguistic and sociolinguistic causes, in the second part of the study. And we mentioned issues which can be suggested in investigating grammatical rules of the feminine form of occupational nouns. The last part is on plans to learn the feminine form of occupations in an effective way. The language is being developed while it is closely related with social and cultural environment of people who use the languages. In this meaning, occupational nouns' feminization is a good example which can reflect chronological and social changes. Through the thesis, we know that it is not enough to provide explanation of changes of feminine occupational nouns about the woman's social roles' alteration. We just hope it can be at least a small help in doing more systematic and deeper analysis which can show the fact that languages reflect the phenomenon of social changes.

In this paper, we propose an FSSH(Folded Slot Spherical Helix) magnetic dipole antenna with a form factor easy to build and study its radiation properties. The number of folded arms, the gap between them and the metal thickness are tuned to achieve relatively simple structure to realize whereas maintaining high radiation efficiency at an electrically small size. The proposed design shows wide radiation efficiency bandwidth and it is confirmed by circuit simulation that the non-Foster impedance matching techniques could be utilized for its practical use. The prototype of the proposed antenna is built with the aid of an SLS(Selective Laser Sintering) 3D printing technology. The measured result shows lower Q impedance characteristic due to high resistive loss of the copper tape joints.
Yeast pheromone a-factor is a 13-amino acid peptide hormone that is synthesized as a part of a larger precursor, prepro-$\alpha$-factor, consisting of a signal peptide and a proregion of 64 amino acids. The carboxy-terminal half of the precursor contains four tandem copies of mature $\alpha$-factor. To investigate the molecular basis of intracellular sorting, proteolytic processing, and storage of the peptide hormone, yeast prepro-$\alpha$-factor precursors were heterologously expressed in rat pituitary $GH_3 cells. When cells harboring the precursor were metabolically labeled, a species of approximately 27 kD appeared inside the cells. Digestion with peptide: N-glycosidase F (PNG-F) shifted the molecular mass to a 19 kD, suggesting that the 27 kD protein was the glycosylated form as in yeast cells. The nascent polypeptide is efficiently targeted to the ER in the $GH_3 cells, where it undergoes cleavage of its signal peptide and core glycosylation to generate glycosylated pro-a-factor. To look at the post ER intracellular processing, the pulse-labelled cells were chased up to 2 hrs. The nascent propeptides disappeared from the cells at a half life of 30 min and only 10-25% of the newly synthesized, unprocessed precursors were stored intracellularly after the 2 h chase. However, about 20% of the pulse-labeled pro-$\alpha$-factor precursors were secreted into the medium in the pro-hormone form. With increasing chase time, the intracellular level of propeptide decreased, but the amount of secreted propeptide could not account for the disappearance of intracellular propeptide completely. This disappearance was insensitive to lysosomotropic agents, but was inhibited at $16^{circ}C or 20^{\circ}C$, suggesting that the turnover of the precursors was not occurring in the secretory pathway to trans Golgi network (TGN) or dependent on acidic compartments. From these results, it is concluded that a pan of these heterologous precursors may be processed at its paired dibasic sites by prohormone processing enzymes located in TGN/secretpry vesicles producing small peptides, and that the residual unprocessed precursors may be secreted into the medium rather than degraded intracellularly.
The bio-data processing is used for a suitable purpose with bio-signals, which are obtained from human individuals. Recently, there is increasing demand that the bio-data has been widely applied to various applications. However, it is often that the number of data within each class is limited and the number of classes is large due to the property of problem domain. Therefore, the conventional pattern recognition systems and classification methods are suffering form low generalization performance because the system using the lack of data is influenced by noises of that. To solve this problem, we propose a modified additive factor model for bio-data generation, with two factors; the class factor which affects properties of each individuals and the environment factor such as noises which affects all classes. We then develop a classification system through defining a new similarity function using the proposed model. The proposed method maximizes to use an information of the class classification. So, we can expect to obtain good generalization performances with robust noises from small number of datas for bio-data. Experimental results show that proposed method outperforms significantly conventional method with real bio-data.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for the development of well-fitting and comfortable brassieres for women in their 30s, based on the classification of breast shapes by utilizing 3D body measurement data of women in the age group. The result of processing the measurements from the 3D body scan data through RapidForm 2006 shows that while the vertical body measurements decrease, the horizontal measurements, which indicates the degree of obesity, increase proportionally with age. Also, the relevant measurements for upper breasts increase proportionally with age, while the measurements for lower part of the breasts decrease as the degree of sagging increases. Four composition factors of the breasts were identified through the factor analysis: Factor 1 is the level of volume in the breasts and the surrounding area; Factor 2 is the position of nipples and the shape of upper part of breasts; Factor 3 is the position and vertical length of the breasts; Factor 4 is the shape of lower part of breasts; and Factor 5 is the shape of inner part of breasts and degree of width between both breasts. The breasts have been categorized into three distinctive shapes: Breast Shape 1, Breast Shape 2 and Breast Shape 3. According to the results of the cluster analysis, the largest percentage (36.68%) of women in their 30s falls into the category of Breast Shape 2 with small volume and flat upper breasts, followed by Breast Shape 1 (32.66%) with large volume in the upper and lower parts of breasts, and large side to side area, and Breast Shape 3 (30.65%) with average volume and width between breasts.
The system for optical tolerances of completion spectacles was made to sum of the accumulated error - the circumstances on composing prescription, the visual-distance, the tilting angle, the losing of a temple, the vertex distance, the axis of toric lens and the sloping of lens etc. It was given by the relation of allowed values size(T) and power(D), $T=T_0e^{-aD}$. Here, $T_0$ is the size of allowed values of plane-lens with power is 0 and ${\alpha}$ is the factor of allowed values. In case of being adopted to new form s tolerance corresponding to RAL 915, for the tolerance is large direction, the factor of allowed values ${\alpha}$ is $0.166(T_0=5.90)$ and for the tolerance is small direction, the factor of allowed values ${\alpha}$ is $0.166(T_0=2.95)$.
