Background: Previous researchers have investigated the mechanical and neurophysiological effects of manual mobilization, however little research has been done on muscle tone and muscle stiffness. Objective: To compare the effects of posterior-anterior (PA) mobilization with weight bearing on sling and conventional PA mobilization on the bed. Design: Randomized controlled trial (single blind) Methods: The subjects were 16 male university students and randomized to sling mobilization group (SMG, n=8) or conventional mobilization group (CMG, n=8). SMG received PA mobilization using a sling and CMG received traditional mobilization on the bed during lumbar mobilization. Results: Both left and right muscle tones of SMG increased, but left muscle tone of SMG were increased and right muscle tone was decreased after intervention. In addition, both left and right muscle stiffness of SMG were also increased, however left muscle stiffness of SMG was increased and right muscle stiffness was decreased. The muscle tone and muscle stiffness of SMG were higher than those of DMG, especially the right side was statistically significantly higher. Extension of SMG, extension and flexion of CMG were increased statistically significantly except for Flexion of SMG (p<.05). There were no significant differences between the groups in Extension and Flexion. Conclusions: This study suggests that lumbar spine PA mobilization using sling is beneficial in improving muscle tone, muscle stiffness, and trunk movement.
This study is going to have been recognized a change of Cervical range of motion with the object 40 persons who sat for many hours before computer. According to the therapy term, sling used joint mobility exercise and Mckenzie was executed by 20 persons Shared. The study results about the effect that Cervical exercise had on joint Range of motion of a VDT syndrome patient were as follows. 1. There was a similar difference a sling used in Cervical Range of motion of joint mobility exercise cure after one-week, two-weet and three-week. 2. The change Cervical Range of motion of Mckenzie exercise has not been after one-week and two-week but a similar difference happens after three-week. 3. There has not been difference between joint mobility exercise and Mckenzie exercise in cure ferm sling used.

Background: Mobilization and cranio-cervical flexion exercise has been reported in reducing pain from cervical part and improving its motor function; also, has been represented that alleviate of neck pain and recover of neck muscles improve the normal gait performance. However, few studies have identified the effects of mobilization and exercise on pain and gait parameters with preceding issues. Objective: To examine the effects or changes of pressure pain threshold (PPT) and gait parameters in patients with chronic neck pain. Design: Cross-Sectional Clinical Trials Methods: Twenty patients with the history of neck pain (>3 months) performed the cervical mobilization and cranio-cervical flexion exercise. Gait parameters were assessed with wireless device and collected data were transmitted to the personal computer via Bluetooth. The PPT was measured posteroanterior direction at the prone position and the mean of subsequent three PPT measurements was used for the final analysis. Results: Both cervical central posteroanterior mobilization (CCPAM) (p<.000) and sling-based cranio-cervical flexion exercise (SBCCFE) (p<.000) group showed a significant increase in the PPT and the gait parameters, cadence (p<.023), was significantly increased in the CCPAM group, however slightly increased in the SBCCFE group. The comparison between the CCPAM and the SBCCFE groups after treatment did not show significant differences for the score on the PPT and gait parameters. Conclusions: This study suggests that CCPAM and SBCCFE increase PPT, cadence, and gait speed.
Objective: The purpose of this research was to use data for furnish quality physical therapy service. The research subjects were admitted shoulder pain patients treated with physical therapy that was to grasp physical therapy method as distinguishing application time. Subject: Total number of distributed questionnaire was 563 persons that was to utilized physical therapy room of 56th medical institution and distributed it to each physical therapist in charge. Method: The research used questionnaire in order to research itemized treatment application time that is according to physical therapy method to applicated with shoulder pain patient. The research contents is to received shoulder pain diagnosis period, total duration of utilizing physical therapy room, the number of times per week to used physical therapy room, etc. And we had physical therapist recording the time of application physical therapy method come under the items. Result: The average treatment time was 59.2 minutes at all patients. During this time, 39.7 min was modality treatment. Active movement treatment was only 7.1 min. Total treatment time was longest in general hospital at 64.9 min, it was shortest in clinical hospital at 53.3 min. Treatment time was difference as hospital scale(p<0.001). Active movement treatment time was longest in general hospital at 11.5 min. The average treatment time was 4.5 min in clinical hospital. Therefore, it was related to hospital scale(p<0.05). The average of manual therapy time by physical therapist was 7.5 min. General hospital was linger at 8.6 min than clinical hospital at 6.7 min(p<0.05). Patient of 90.2 % were treated to hot pack, ultra-sound treatment was next as 50.1%. Active strengthening exercise was most carrying out of the active treatment as 25.4 %. Active sensorimotor exercise was practiced only 28 persons of 5.0 %. Most joint mobilization (38.4 %) was used of the passive manual therapy items, next to soft tissue mobilization (33.0 %), and next to manual distraction therapy(14.0 %).
