체험환경교육 프로그램의 운영 실태에 관한 연구 (A Survey Study for the Operation of Site-Based Environmental Education Programs)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the status of the operation of site-based environmental education(EE) programs. This study surveyed 165 schools and organizations that operated site-based EE program in 2000 using a mail questionnaire and interviews. The response rate was 43%. The result indicated that awareness, participation, and attitude were considerably addressed, while knowledge and skills were addressed to a lesser degree. There were some difficulties in motivating students and in considering the developmental stage of participants. For programing the site-based EE, financial support and expert knowledge of EE were needed most of all. Learning materials for various and hand-on activities were also needed. The affective domain, such as awareness and attitude, showed marked improvement in the outcomes of the programs. Direct experience and sensitivity, connection with school education, regional characteristics were sufficiently addressed in the programs, while cultural aspects, fairness, originality, and accuracy were not. Flexibility in performing the programs and less rigidity of report on operations were needed. Through the discussion of the results, some improvements for the operation of site-based EE program were suggested.

  • Non-destructive inspection techniques using laser have been broading their application areas as well as growing their measurement skills together with the rapid development of circumferential technology like fiber optics, computer and image processing. The ESPI technique is already on the stage of on-line testing with commercial products in developed country nations. Especially, this technique is expected to be applied to the nuclear industry, automobile and aerospace because it is proper for the vibration measurement and it can be applied to objects of a high temperature. This paper describes the use of the ESPI system for measuring vibration patterns on the reflecting objects. Using this system, high-quality Jo fringes for identifying mode shapes are displayed. A bias vibration is introduced into the reference beam to shift the Jo fringes so that fringe shift algorithms can be used to determine vibration amplitude. Using this method, amplitude fields for vibrating objects were obtained directly from the time-average interferograms recorded by the ESPI system.

MZ세대 간호대학생의 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과 (Mediating Effect of Empathy in the Relationship between Communication Skills and Interpersonal Relationship of MZ Generation Nursing Students)

  • MZ세대 간호대학생의 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성의 관계에서 공감능력의 매개효과를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구의 대상은 MZ세대에 해당되는 1981년에서 2006년생 간호대학생 129명이며, 자료수집 기간은 2023년 5월 20일부터 7월 30일까지였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 program으로 분석하였으며, 공감능력의 매개효과는 Baron과 Kenny의 3단계 매개효과 검증 절차를 밟았고, 매개효과의 통계적 유의성을 검정하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 대인관계유능성에 의사소통능력(β=.45, p<.001)과 공감능력(β=.18, p=.008)이 유의한 영향을 주었고, 이들 변수는 대 인관계유능성에 대해 48.4%의 설명력이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성의 관계에서 공감능력은 부분매개효과(z=2.39, p=.016)가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 미래의 간호를 담당하게 될 비대면 문화에 익숙한 MZ세대의 특성에 대한 이해와 함께 이들의 대인관계유능성을 향상시킬 수 있는 실효성 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

MODI를 활용한 피지컬 컴퓨팅 수업 운영 및 만족도 (Operation and Satisfaction of Physical Computing Classes Using MODI)

  • Recently, the Internet of Things is attracting attention as an important key technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and SW education using physical computing is suggested as a good alternative to supplement the problems raised by beginners in programming education. Among the many teaching tools that can be used for physical computing education, MODI is a modular manufacturing tool that anyone can easily assemble like Lego. MODI is a teaching tool that can improve learners' achievement by linking a self-linked block-type code editor called MODI Studio to lay the foundation for programming in a relatively small amount of time and immediately check the results in person. In this paper, a physical computing education method using MODI was designed to be applied to basic programming courses for programming beginners and applied to after-school classes for middle school students. As a result, it was found that students' interest and satisfaction were much higher in physical computing classes using MODI than in text-based programming classes. It can be seen that physical computing education that allows beginners to see and feel the results in person is more effective than grammar-oriented text programming, and it can have a positive effect on improving basic programming skills by increasing students' participation.

  • Aviation ICT technology is a convergence technology between aviation and electronics, and has a wide variety of applications, including navigation and education. Among them, in the field of aerial pilot training, there are many problems such as the possibility of accidents during training and the lack of coping skills for various situations. This raises the need for a simulated pilot training system similar to actual training. In this paper, pilot training data were collected in pilot training system using VR/AR to increase immersion in flight training, and Customized Pilot Training Platform with Collaborative Deep Learning in VR/AR Environment that can recommend effective training courses to pilots is proposed. To verify the accuracy of the recommendation, the performance of the proposed collaborative deep learning algorithm with the existing recommendation algorithm was evaluated, and the flight test score was measured based on the pilot's training data base, and the deviations of each result were compared. The proposed service platform can expect more reliable recommendation results than previous studies, and the user survey for verification showed high satisfaction.

Educators' Perception on the Use of Robots in the Early Childhood Environment

  • Understanding teachers in the early childhood education is crucial as it can not only affect the quality of children's education but also cause many critical problems such as child abuse. A significant amount of research work has been made on the use of robots in childcare classrooms. The finding from the research has shown many advantages such as the improvement of learning performance, social/emotional skills, creativity, concentration period, physical and cognitive development. However, most of the study has been implemented at the K-12 classrooms but not much has been focused on the education at the early childhood classrooms. Importantly, it is very crucial to understand teachers' perception, demands and technical competence about the new teaching tool, in order to maximize its educational effect. This paper investigates some critical issues existing in both teaching and managing in the early childhood education. It will also explore teachers' perceptions and expectations on the use of robots to identify some dilemmas that exist in their working and teaching environment. A survey study was conducted with 119 early childhood educators in South Korea. It analyzed the educators' perception of using robots to improve their teaching performance and to make better outcomes for children, investigated job satisfaction and difficulties that they have in the current work environment. This paper concludes with several guidelines for integrating and setting robotics in the early childhood environment, in order to engender productive outcomes for the future early childhood education.

자폐스펙트럼장애 아동들의 효과적인 조기 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰 (Systematic Review on Effect of Comprehensive Early Intervention for Pre-school Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD))

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 국외 학술지를 대상으로 체계적인 문헌고찰을 통해 자폐스펙트럼장애(autism spectrum disorder, ASD)아동들을 대상으로 사용되는 조기 중재 방법의 효과를 확인하는 것이었다. 연구방법 : 2017년 12월 이전까지의 국외 학술지에 게재된 논문을 Pubmed를 통하여 검색하였다. 주요 검색어로는 'autism', 'autism spectrum disorder', 'ASD', 'high function autism', 'high function ASD', 'Asperger syndrome', 'pervasive developmental disorder', 'PDDNOS', 'intervention'과 'early intervention'를 사용하였다. 최초 검색된 논문은 724편이었으나 포함 및 배제기준을 적용하여 최종 10편의 연구가 선정되었다. 결과 : 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 조기 중재는 10편의 선정된 연구 중에서 8편의 연구가 응용행동분석에 기초한 중재 프로그램을 적용하였고, 다른 2편의 연구들은 감각 통합적 접근과 테크놀로지에 기반을 둔 중재접근을 사용하였다. 대부분의 연구가 조기 중재로 의사소통기술과 사회적 상호작용기술, 지능, 적응 행동의 증가, 동시집중력의 향상과 같은 긍정적인 효과를 보고하였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 조기 중재에 대한 근거를 제시하며, 향후 국내 연구에서 효과적인 조기 중재에 대한 효과를 확인하는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Enhancing STEM education using nanotechnology: Integrating nanoscale concepts into K-12 curriculum

  • Nanotechnology is one of the leading edges of science and technology today, holding out the promise for revolutionary advances in just about any discipline. With the integration of nanoscale concepts into K-12 STEM education comes a special opportunity pertaining to the cultivation of future innovators and scientists who are more adept at traveling in this burgeoning field. It discusses some strategies and frameworks for effectively bringing nanotechnology into the K-12 curriculum. Hands-on activities, interdisciplinary approaches, and age-appropriate educational materials have been used with an emphasis on improving student engagement and enhancing understanding in nanoscale phenomena. Thus, early exposure to the principles of nanotechnology can be effectively used by teachers to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, which are necessary for technological advancement. These results highlight the potential of nanotechnology education integration in the development of future STEM professionals. It results in an increase in the enrollment rate. Hence, this proves that there is a lasting impact of the intervention on the choice that students made while in school.

정보이용능력 교육 프로그램의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Information Literacy Programs)

  • 효과적인 정보이용능력프로그램을 만드는 데 필요한 이론적 토대를 살펴보기 위하여 ACRL 기준을 포함한 10개 기술모델의 비교결과, (1) 정보요구의 확인은 정보요구 설명, 질문법, 비판적 사고와 정보공학으로 설명하고 (2) 다수는 정보원 이해를 별도로 다루고 있고, 특별히 매스미디어를 소개하고, (3) 정보접근 전략과 기술은 모두 포함하고 , OPAC과 색인 초록이, 온라인 정보검색을 강조하고, (4) 정보 탐색과 기술은 필수적인 요소이며, 인쇄 및 전자 매체, 인터넷 정보원과 시청각정보원의 탐색을 강조 (5) 정보평가 및 종합의 요소는 모두에 포함되나, 정보과정과 결과에 대한 평가를 독립적으로 취급한 것도 있다. (6) 포함된 정보이용은 주로 논문작성법, 인용, 구두발표의 이용이고, 기준에서는 경제적, 법률적, 사회적 현안과 연관된 정보이용문제를 강조하였다.
