환경요인에 의한 잣나무의 지위지수 추정식 개발과 적지 판정 (Development of a Site Index Equation for Pinus koraiensis Based on Environmental Factors and Estimation of Productive Areas for Reforestation)

  • Site index is an essential tool to estimate forest productivity. Generally, a site index equation is developed and used from the relationship between stand age and dominant tree heights. However, there is a limit to the use of the site index equation in the application of variable ages, environmental influence, and estimation of site index for the unstocked forest. Therefore, it has been attempted to develop a new site index equation based on various environmental factors including site, climate, and topographical variables. This study was conducted to develop a site index equation based on the relationship between site index and environmental factors for the species of Pinus koraiensis in Yangpyung-Gun, Gyunggi Province. The influence of climatic factors (temperature and solar irradiation ratio), topographical factors (elevation, slope, ratio of slope to valley and aspect) and soil profiles (soil depth by layer and soil consistency) on site index were evaluated by multiple regression analysis. Five environmental factors were selected in the final site index equation for Pinus koraiensis. The site index equation developed in this study was also verified by three evaluation statistics: model's estimation bias, model's precision, and mean square error of measurement. Based on the site index equation, the number of productive areas for Pinus koraiensis were estimated by applying GIS technique to digitized forest maps. In addition, the distribution of productive areas was compared with the areas of current distribution of Pinus koraiensis. It is expected that the results obtained in this study could provide valuable information about the amount and distribution of productive areas for Pinus koraiensis reforestation.

  • Site index is the essential tool for forest management to estimate the productivity of forest land Generally, site index equation is developed and used by relationship between stand age and dominant tree heights. However, there is a limit to use the site index equation in the application of variable ages, environmental influence, and estimation of site index for unstocked land. Therefore, it was attempted to develop a new site index equations based on various environmental factors including site and topographical variables. This study was conducted to develop regional site index equations based on the relationship between site index and soil factors for Pinus densiflora. Environmental factors that obtained from GIS application, were selected by stepwise-regression. Site index Equation was estimated by multiple regression from selected factors. Four environmental factors were selected in the final site index equations by stepwise regression. It was observed that coefficients of determination for site index equations were ranged from 0.34 which seem to be relatively low but good enough for estimation of forest stand productivity. The site index equations developed in this study were also verified to be useful by three evaluation statistics such as model's estimation bias, model's precision and mean square error type of measure.

  • LHR(Landfill Site Hazard Ranking Model) was developed for ranking the relative hazard of landfill sites by using the method of value-structured approach. LHR consists of combining a multiattribute decision-making method with a Qualitative risk assessment approach. A pairwise com parisian method was applied to determine weights of landfill site factors related. To determine the hazard of landfill site, hydrogeological factors, waste characteristics factors and receptors factors were evaluated by LHR. LHR can help decision-makers prioritization of remediation of landfill sites through the relatively convenient and concise evaluation method of landfill site features related. LHR focuses mainly on pathways of groundwater and surfacewater for evaluating landfill hazard to receptors including humans. To validiate the applicability of LHR, Nanjido Landfill site, Metropolitan Landfill site, and Hwasung Landfill site were evaluated.

수량화이론 I방법에 의한 아까시나무 임분의 적지 환경인자 도출 (Derivation of Suitable-Site Environmental Factors in Robinia pseudoacacia Stands Using Type I Quantification Theory)

  • 본 연구는 밀원식물인 아까시나무의 적지적수 조림을 위해 임지생산력을 나타내는 지위지수를 도출하고, 지위지수에 어떠한 입지환경인자가 영향을 미치는 지를 수량화이론 I방법으로 구명하고자 수행되었다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 6차 국가산림자원조사와 1/5,000 산림입지토양도 상의 임령, 우세목 수고 및 각종 입지환경인자였다. 6차 국가산림자원조사에 의한 우리나라 아까시나무 임분의 지위지수는 평균 14였으며, 범위는 8에서 18 사이에 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 지위지수에 영향하는 입지환경인자는 모암, 기후대, 토양성질, 국소지형과 해발고였으며, 수량화이론 I방법을 적용한 추정모델의 적합도는 33%였다. 이 추정모델의 적합도는 낮으나 1% 수준에서 유의성이 인정되어 지위지수와 입지환경인자 간의 상호 연관성을 설명할 수 있었다. 지위지수와 입지환경인자 간의 수량화 분석 결과, 모암은 변성암, 화성암이, 기후대는 온대중부지역 이상에서, 토성은 식양토, 미사질양토가, 국소지형은 산복 지역에서 높은 점수를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 임지생산력(지위지수)에 영향하는 입지환경인자 각각의 편상관을 분석한 결과, 산림 내 토양의 성질과 해당 입지의 해발고에 대한 편상관계수가 0.4129, 0.4023으로 각각 나타나, 이들이 가장 영향력이 높은 인자임을 알 수 있었다.

  • To assess preliminarily the contamination potential of water resources including groundwater owing to the hydrogeological characteristics of landfill site and the potential impact to humans and animals through contamination of water resources by leachate, "Landfill Site Preliminary Assessment Model(LASPAS)" was contrived. LASPAS could help them proritization of remediation of landfil sites by the convenient and relatively simple evaluation method of landfill site features. LASPAS was designd to aliot numerical ratings to landfill site related factors undermentioned; 1) hydrogeological factors such as hydraulic conductivity of aquifer, thickness of confining layer over aquifer, topographical slope, net recharge, and subsurface containment 2) water resources contamination factors of impacts on receptors such as proximity to drinking water supply, substitutability of drinking water supply, type of use of water resources, known impact on drinking water supply, and flood potential.

  • Environmental Impact Assessment System, ever since its enactment in Korea fourteen years ago, has been steadily improved by introduction and implementation of new concepts and methodologies which include Environmental Impact Statement(EIS) preparation technique, selection of environmental factors, and the like. However, current guideline requires that every EIS, regardless of the specifics of the project type or characteristics of the site, must evaluate and study for all twenty-two environmental factors as set forth in the regulation. The situation causes many undesirable problems like; lack of site specific evaluation in most EISs, over-sized EIS drafts, consuming too much time and costs for EIS preparation, and so on. The objectives of this study are: - To establish a set of criteria to classify the types of the projects in terms of features of the project content and the characteristics of the site area. - To establish a guideline for selecting major environmental factors of the project type criteria, and - To provide basic materials for the preparation of complets draft EIS of the Amendment of Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

기후대별 입지환경 인자에 의한 소나무류의 지위지수 추정식 및 적지 구명 (Site Index Equations and Estimation of Productive Areas for Major Pine Species by Climatic Zones Using Environmental Factors)

  • 본 연구는 산림입지 자료를 이용하여 주요 소나무 수종의 기후대별 산림생산력을 추정하기 위해 수행하였다. 이를 위해 강원지방소나무, 중부지방소나무, 그리고 해송의 3개 소나무 수종을 대상으로 입지환경인자에 의한 기후대별 지위지수 추정식을 만들고, 적지 판정 기준에 따라 수종별 적지면적을 산출하였다. 기후대는 수종분포에 따라 온대북부, 온대중부, 온대남부, 그리고 난대의 4개 지역으로 구분하였다. 이를 위해 전국의 산림입지 자료를 기후대별 수종별로 분류한 후, 지위지수 추정식 산출에 필요한 추정자료와 통계 검증에 필요한 검증자료로 분류하였다. 산림입지 자료에 포함된 임령 및 수고에 근거하여 기준 임령을 30년으로 하는 기후대별 수종별 지위지수를 추정하였다. 이를 통해 입지환경 인자에 의한 기준임령 30년에서의 기후대별 수종별 지위지수 추정식을 도출하였으며, 검증자료를 사용하여 통계적 검증을 실시한 후 검증 결과에 따라 최종 기후대별 수종별 지위지수 추정식을 산출하였다. 본 연구에서 산출된 기후대별 소나무 수종의 지위지수 추정식은 $4{\sim}8$개의 입지환경 인자에 의해 산림생산력을 비교적 잘 추정하는 것으로 판명되었다. 이와 같은 방법으로 도출된 지위지수 추정식을 산림입지 자료에 적용하여 기후대별 수종별 산림생산력을 추정하고, 이에 근거하여 적지를 판정한 후 적지 면적을 산출하였다. 수종별 적지 면적은 강원지방소나무는 온대북부와 온대중부에서 약 24만ha로 추정되었으며, 중부지방소나무는 전체 기후대에 걸쳐 약 49만ha가 적지인 것으로 분석되었다. 온대북부를 제외한 지역에 분포하고 있는 해송의 경우에도 전체 산림면적의 약 4%인 23만ha가 적지인 것으로 판명되었다.

  • 본 연구는 수치 산림입지도에서 추출한 28개 입지환경 인자를 사용하여 경기ㆍ충청지역의 몇 가지 주요 수종에 대한 지위지수 추정식을 개발하였다. 수종별로 4∼5개의 변수에 의하여 개발된 수종별 최적 지위지수 추정식은 결정계수가 0.91 이상으로 높은 설명력을 보였다. 이상과 같이 개발된 수종별 지위지수 추정식에 대하여 연구 대상지에서 수집한 수종별 독립자료에 근거하여 모형의 평균 편의, 정도, 표준오차 등의 3가지 평가통계량을 계산한 후 그 실용성을 검증하였다. 수종별 지위지수 추정식으로부터 얻어진 추정치와 실제 지위지수의 평균편의는 낙엽송의 경우 1.82 m로 상대적으로 큰 차이를 보였으나, 전반적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 수종별 지위지수 추정식의 평가통계량은 낮은 것으로 판명되어 실제 사용하는데 문제가 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 경기ㆍ충청지역의 지위지수 추정식은 사용된 변수가 적음에도 불구하고 결정계수는 상당히 높았으며, 조사된 실측치와 비교하여 검증한 결과 그 정도(精度)가 비교적 높았다. 따라서 몇 가지의 환경인자 만으로도 지역별 특성을 고려한 수종별 지위지수를 추정할 수 있어 활용가치가 높은 것으로 판단된다. 특히 이러한 정보는 앞으로 입지조건에 따른 적지적수 선정에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 하지만 앞으로 입지조건에 따른 적지적수 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 본 연구에서 사용된 수종 외에 다른 주요 수종에 대한 지위지수 추정식을 개발하는 작업도 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

국내 부지 특성을 고려한 오염토양 정화기술매칭기준안 (Draft Guideline Matching the Treatment Technology to the Soil Contaminated Site Based on the Site Properties in Korea)

  • The programmable logic array to match the treatment technology to the soil contaminated site based on the site properties in Korea was developed. Based on the previous technology screening system of FRTR (Federal Remediation Technology Roundtable) in USA, total 9 evaluation factors indicating the site characteristics were used for the technology matching process and 8 factors among them were quantitatively weighed in the order of importance. The class interval for each evaluation factor was linearly distributed to give the weighed score and 8 scores were summed up to prioritize the treatment technology. The optimal treatment technology for a specific site was determined according to the total score acquired from 8 evaluation factors used in this technology matching process. The reliability test for the developed technology matching system was done by using information of two real cleanup sites in Korea, suggesting that this guideline will be available to determine the most effective treatment technology to cleanup the soil contaminated site and also to assist the government or the company to design a successful and cost-effective site cleanup plan in Korea.

하천환경에서의 phytsae 활성변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Variation of Phytase Activity in the River Environment)

  • From August 2000 to August 2001, 9 variables of physicochemical factors and phytase activity were investigated at 4 sites in the River Yungpyung and the influences of Physicochemical factors to Phytase activity were analyzed. Phytase activities of Site 1, Site 2, Site 3, and Site 4 varied between N.D ∼566 nmol/ ι /hr, N.D \" 434 nmol/ ι /hr, N.D ∼557 nmol/ ι /hr, and N.D ∼723 nmol/ ι /hr, respectively. The activities of summer season were higher than those of other season. But the activities were not detected on the winter season. The phytase activity and temperature showed high correlation. The correlation coefficients of Site 1, Site 2, Site 3, and Site 4 were 0.82(p<0.01).0.92(p<0.01),0.87(p<0.01), and 0.88(p<0.01), respectively. The phytase activity and NOI₃/sup -/ ion showed negative relation(r=-0.59, p<0.05) at Site 1. And the phytase activity had relation with Zn/sup 2+/at Site 2(r=().57, p<0.05) and Site 3(r=0.7E, p<7.07).
