Spatio-temporal Variation of Intertidal Microphytobenthos in the Nakdong Estuary

  • The species composition and the biomass of intertidal microphytobenthos (MPB) were investigated at four sites in the Nakdong Estuary from Feb. to Dec. 2006. The chlorophyll (chl) ${\alpha}$ concentration showed a positive correlation with MPB abundance, and depth profiles showed similar patterns: high at the surface, rapidly decreasing within 4 cm from the surface, and slowly decreasing thereafter. A MANOVA analysis revealed that the chl ${\alpha}$ concentration varied significantly not only with depth, month, and site, but also with combinations of these factors. Among the four investigated sites, site D (Baekhabdeung) showed a seasonal biomass variation trend distinct from those of the other sites: higher in summer, decreased in autumn and with sustained low values until winter. As indicated, the other sites contrastingly showed low biomasses in summer, after which the biomasses continuously increased, with some variation among the sites. A cluster analysis of species composition indicated that sites near to each other and with similar sediment structures had closer similarities in the same seasons. The species of genus Amphora and Navicula were dominant at the four sites throughout the study period.

전남 지방에서 출토된 고대 기와의 태토 조성 (Body composition of Ancient Roofing Tiles Excavated from Chonnam Province)

  • 전남 지방에서 출토된 고대 기와의 태토 조성을 X-선 회절 분석과 유도 결합 플라즈마 발광분석에 의해 고찰하였으며, 분석 대상의 기와는 산성 유적과 와요지에서 출토된 것이다. 기와는 태토의 광불 조성에 따라 5 계통으로 분류되었으며, 각 출토지별로 화학 조성이 달랐다. 기와는 출토지에 관계없이 철분 4~10%을 함유한 태토이며, 저급의 원료를 채취한 상태 그대로 사용하였다. 이들 유적에서 출토된 고대 기와는 사용 원료, 소성 온도 등의 기술적인 차이에 따른 태토 특성을 반영하고 있었다. 각 유적에서 출토된 기와는 바나듐 원소에 의해 지질학적 특성 차이를 확인할 수 있었으며, $SiO_2$와 바나듐 원소에 의해 출토지별로 명확히 구분되었다. 한편 여수의 고락산성과 척산 산성에서 출토된 기와는 유사한 태토 조성을 지니고 있지만, 지질학적 특성에는 명확한 차이가 있었다.

산불 후 개미군집의 단기변화 (Short-term Changes in Ant Communities after Forest Fire)

  • 산불은 산림에 서식하는 곤충들을 죽이거나 분산시킴으로서 그들의 군집을 교란한다. 산불 후 개미군집은 종다양성, 종구성, 기능군 구성이 달라질 것이다. 본 연구는 1996년 강원도 고성에서 발생한 대형 산불 직후 일년동안 산불지와 비산불지의 개미군집의 변화를 비교하기 위해서 수행되었다. 총 16종 1,308개체의 개미가 채집되었고, 산불지에서 15종 696개체, 비산불지에서 13종 612개체가 채집되었다. 산불 후 다양도와 풍부도가 감소될 것이란 일반적인 예상과는 달리 산불지와 비산불지는 개미군집의 풍부도, 종다양성, 종구성, 기능군 구성에서 차이가 없었고, 종풍부도(추정치)는 산불지가 비산불지 보다 오히려 높았다. 그러나 개미의 월별 출현양상은 (풍부종과 전체) 산불지와 비산불지 간에 많이 달랐다. 산불직후인 1996년 5월에는 산불지에서 개미가 더 많았으나, 가을(1996년 9월과 10월)에는 비산불지에서 개미가 더 많았다. 이는 산불지의 환경변화(토양건조 등)로 인해 개미개체군의 변동(개체군의 사멸 또는 이동)이 원인일 것이다. 결론적으로 봄에 발생하는 산불은 토양 깊이 월동하는 개미 군체를 파괴하지 못하기 때문에 산불은 개미상에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다.

Structural Characterization of the Intermetallic Phase EuZnxIn4-x (x ≈ 1.1-1.2). Zn and In Site-Preferences in the BaAl4 Structure-Type from Computational Analysis

  • The ternary phase $EuZn_xIn_{4-x}$ has been identified as the main product of reactions of Eu, Zn, and In by using the In-flux method and characterized by both powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure belongs to the common $BaAl_4$-type (tetragonal space group I4/mmm, Pearson code tI10) with lattice parameters of a = 4.5610(9) ${\AA}$, c = 12.049(3) ${\AA}$ for composition $EuZn_{1.10(12)}In_{2.90}$ and a = 4.5463(3) ${\AA}$, c = 12.028(2) ${\AA}$ for composition $EuZn_{1.18(2)}In_{2.82}$, respectively. In this structure, the Eu atoms are situated at the center of 18-vertex Fedorov polyhedra made of Zn and In atoms, where the 4d site is preferentially occupied by In and the 4e site is occupied by randomly mixed Zn and In atoms. Theoretical investigations using tight-binding linear muffintin orbital (TB-LMTO) method provide rationale for the observed site preferences and suggest potentially wider homogeneity range than the experimentally established for $EuZn_xIn_{4-x}$ ($x{\approx}1.1$).

울진 외선미리 발굴 건물지에 관한 연구 (A study on the building site excavated in the Oeseonmi-ri, Uljin)

  • The building site was presumed as the Howonjeokwon or the Dasiwonji established at the traffic route among western inland areas in old Pyeonghaegun. The groundwork was composed inclination terrace of two steps. The upper step was the territory of the main house of ceremony symbolic+lodging function and the down step was divided in the territory of both Ikrang-chae of boarding and lodging management function and the territory of Haengrang-chae pavilion of rest reception management. The building composition by each territory formed space differentiation with the line of flow according to the thorough rule of court rank. The arrangement composition set the strong center axis in tandem, and it was the building arrangement interpreting the territory and the rule of court rank by function as the relationship of master and servant and was the building type emphasizing on the whole unity with the geometric symmetry structure. The Dasiwonji and the Hyeeumwonji had the common point which is the traffic architecture of semi governmental management reinforcing the boarding lodging function in the place which a visitor stayed. The Haeeumwonji and Dasiwonji had the difference in the size, but was the same in the composition system of construction. The external space and the system of the line of flow decided from the functional territory separation and the hierarchical rank as thorough as the geometric arrangement focusing on the whole unity. Namely, it was the strict and unusual system of the line of flow depended on the thorough rule of court rank than the efficient approach or arrangement of the line of flow. After being established to be the Howonjeokwon at the end of Koryeo, it disappeared at the time of the invasion of Japanese pirates when it was the time of the King Woo in Koryeo. It is presumed that it was continued until both wars, Imjin Byeongja, ago after changing its name to the Dasiwon, being restored to the small size at the end of Koryeo at the early of Choseon.

NASICON 고체전해질의 이온전도도 계산 (I) Mid-Na의 영향을 고려하지 않은 경우 (Computation of Ionic Conductivity in NASICON Solid Electrolytes (I) Conduction Paths with no Mid-Na Sites)

  • The ionic conductivityof NASICON solid electrolytes was simulated by using Monte Carlo Method (MCM) based on a hopping model as functions of temoperature and composition. Two conduction paths were used : jumping from Na1 to Na2 and jumping from Na1 to Na2 and jumping from Na2 to Na2. Vacancy availability factor, V was affected by composition, temperature and the conduction paths. For β"-Alumina, it was known that the minimum of charge correlation factor, fc appears at the composition, p=0.5, but there was not shown the minimum of fc for NASICON. When the NASICON composition, x, approaches 2.5, the curve of In σT vs. 1/T* was shown Arrhenius behavior and also In (VWfc) was a linear function of 1/T*. The results of simulations on the considered conduction paths didn't agree with the experimental results. Thus it will be necessary to include the another Na sites as mid-Na site on the conduction path to obtain the better results.

  • 최근 진동 소음을 저감하는 공법으로 초시의 정확성과 초시부여의 자율성을 가진 전자뇌관을 이용하는 공법(OBM ; Orechestra Blasting)이 소개되었다. 파형합성프로그램은 전자뇌관의 지연초시를 결정할 수 있으며 결정된 초시를 이용하여 실 발파와 유사한 환경에서의 시뮬레이션을 수행, 최적초시 상태의 진동 속도를 예측할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 파형합성프로그램을 통해 진동을 제어하는 최적초시를 얻고 실제 발파작업 시의 진동치를 예측하고자 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to construct positioning maps according to satisfaction of sensibility elements and screen composition elements of internet fashion shopping mall by using multidimensional scaling (MDS). A questionnaire and internet-site surfing was used for this research, and 200 responses were used for data analysis. MDS analysis showed the satisfaction levels of 10 sensibility elements and 5 screen composition elements satisfaction for 8 selected internet fashion shopping malls.

  • Geophysical methodology using GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) were applied both to the limestone producing area(Sambo Mine Company & Haksanri Area) and to Landfill area(Mureung Landfill Site). The investigation results resultant from both the limestone producing area(Sambo Mine Company & Haksanri Area) showed that there are a few events reflected from boundaries between caves and basement rocks. Those from landfill area showed that more complicated and small size events are found. These events could be from different electric characteristics of various kinds of composition materials in the landfill site.
