소결온도에 따른 ${Ba_5}{B_4}{O_15}$ (B=Ta,Nb) 세라믹스의 구조 및 마이크로파 유전특성 (Structural and Microwave Dielectric Properties of the ${Ba_5}{B_4}{O_15}$ (B=Ta,Nb) Ceramics with Sintering Temperature)

  • In this study, structural and microwave dielectric properties of the ${Ba_5}{B_4}{O_{15}}$ (B=Ta, Nb} cation-deficient perovskite ceramics with sintering temperature were investigated. All sample of the ${Ba_5}{B_4}{O_{15}}$ (B=Ta, Nb) ceramics prepared by conventional mixed oxide method and sintered at $1325^{\circ}C{\sim}1575^{\circ}C$. The bulk density and dielectric constant of the ${Ba_5}{Ta_4}{O_{15}}$ ceramics were increased continuously with increasing of sintering temperature. And the bulk density and dielectric constant of the ${Ba_5}{Nb_4}{O_{15}}$ ceramics was increased in $1375^{\circ}C{\sim}1400^{\circ}C$ but decerased in $1425^{\circ}C$. In the case of ${Ba_5}{Ta_4}{O_{15}}$ ceramics sintered at $1475^{\circ}C$ and ${Ba_5}{Nb_4}{O_{15}}$ ceramics sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$, The dielectric constant and quality factor, and temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency (TCRF) were 25.15, 53,105 GHz, $-3.06\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ and, 39.55, 28,052 GHz, $5.7\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ respectively.

$Tio_2$첨가가 Mn-Zn Ferrites의 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of $Tio_2$ Addition on the Magnetic Properties of Mn-Zn Ferrites)

  • Mn-Zn ferrites에 TiO2가 첨가될 때 전력손실, 밀도, 초기투자율, 저항, 그리고 미세구조의 변화를 관찰하였다. 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 밀도는 증가했지만, 초기투자율은 감소하였다. TiO2의 첨가에 따라 electron hopping을 일으키는 활성화에너지와 전기저항이 증가하였다. 115$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 TiO2를 1.5 wt% 첨가한 시편은 1 MHz, 25 mT, 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 83 mW/㎤의 전력손실을 나타내었다. 그러나 120$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결할 때는 과대입성장이 발생하여 같은 측정 조건에서 1168 mW/㎤의 전략손실을 얻었다.

  • Silicon nitride ceramics were prepared by microwave gas phase reaction sintering. By this method higher density specimens were obtained for short time and at low temperature, compared than ones by conventional pressureless sintering, even though sintering behaviors showed same trend, the relative density of sintered body inverse-exponentially increases with sintering temperature and/or holding time. And grain size of ${\beta}$-phase of the microwave sintered body is bigger than one of the conventional pressureless sintered one. Also they showed good bending strengths and thermal shock resistances.

  • The electrical properties of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-CoO-Cr$_2$O$_3$-La$_2$O$_3$ based varistors were investigated with sintering temperature in the range of 1240~130$0^{\circ}C$. The varistors sintered at 1240~126$0^{\circ}C$ exhibited high density, which was 5.50~5.70 g/㎤ corresponding to 95.2~98.6% of theoretical density The varistor voltage was decreased in range of 718.47~108.00 V/mm with increasing sintering temperature. The varistors sintered at 1240~126$0^{\circ}C$ exhibited good electrical properties, in which the nonlinear exponent is in the range of 79.25~49.22 and leakage current is in the range of 0.26~1.00 $\mu$A. In particular, the varistor sintered at 1240\`c showed very excellent electrical properties, in which the nonlinear exponent is 79.25 and leakage current is 0.26 $\mu$A.A.A.

텅스텐 특성에 대한 소결온도의 영향 (Effect on Mechanical Properties of Tungsten by Sintering Temperature)

  • A tungsten material using a pressure sintering process and a titanium sintering additive was prepared to evaluate the microstructure, and mechanical properties of flexural strength and hardness. In addition, the reliability on each hardness data was evaluated by analyzing the distribution of the hardness of the tungsten material using the Weibull probability distribution. In particular, the optimal manufacturing conditions were analyzed by analyzing the correlation between the sintering temperature and the mechanical properties of the tungsten sintered body. Although the sintering density of the tungsten material was hardly changed up to 1700 ℃, but it was increased at 1800 ℃. The hardness of the tungsten sintered material increased as the sintering temperature increased, and in particular, the tungsten material sintered at 1800 ℃ showed a high hardness value of about 1790 Hv. It showed relatively excellent flexural strength at a sintering temperature of 1800 ℃.

  • As compared with conventional sintering, rapid heating in microwave system could enhance sinterability and final properties of alumina with a very short sintering time. In this study microwave sintering was performed using zirconia brick as a reaction chamber which was positioned in a 2.45 GHz(700 W) multimode microwave cavity. Microwave-sintered alumina showed high density and smaller grain size than conventionally sintered alumina because the ratio of densification rate/grain growth rate was increased by rapid heating.

Gel-Casting으로 제조한 알루미나 성형체의 건조와 미세구조 (Microstructures and Drying of the Alumina Green Body by the Gel-Casting Method)

  • The effects of the dispersion, drying, and binder burning-out on the green-microstructures of gelcasted alumina were studied. The slip consisting of 55 vol% alumina powder and 5 wt% organic materials was well-dispersed by adding 0.28 wt% polyelectrolyte polymer. Green bodies were dried at >85% relative humidity at room temperature. Green-microstructures were observed to be depended on the heating rate during binder burnout. Constant drying rate was not observed in drying process of gelcasted alumina. Sintered body showed its relative density higher than 99% when it was sintered at 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours.

  • Mn-Zn ferrite powders prepared by an alcoholic dehydration method. Vacuum casting, a kind of wet forming process was examined with this powders. As binders, polyethylene glycol and polyvinyl alcohol were used. In order to estimate this conditions, fracture morphology, densities of green and sintered bodies and the microstructure were observed. High density and homogeneous microstructure in sintered bodies were obtained in the case of 0.1 wt% PEG or 0.5 wt% PVA.

  • This study deals with the porous sintered body which is obtained by blending solid naphthalene with fine particles of Hwasun flint clay. Apparent porosity is increased, and bulk density, thermal conductivity, strength and thermal expansion are decreased according to the additiion of naphthalene. Pore shape of sintered body showed elliptical form and median size and capilary percentage are increased by adding more naphthalene.

점토 소결재의 흡음특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Sound Absorption Property of a Sintered Clay Material)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a sound absorbing material for indoor which manufactured by a clay and binding material. The seven kind of sound absorbing specimens which sintered through a mold process at high temperature were manufactured for the purpose of testing sound absorption performance. The random and normal sound absorption coefficients were measured for the sintered clay sound absorbing specimens with different particle size, density and mixture ratio. From the experimental results, it was found that its particle size was closely related to the sound absorption performance. It was shown that the sintered clay sound absorbing specimen had the sound absorption properties of a fiber-type or a resonance-type sound absorbing material depending on the particle size.
