  • 본 논문은 하이브리드 자동차 및 전기자동차의 고주파 발생시 전자파를 차단하는 역할을 하는 인버터 실드쉘의 단공정 스트립 레이아웃과 금형제작에 관한 연구이다. 현재는 일본에서 금형을 수입하여 7벌 단공정 금형방식으로 개발하여 65톤 프레스에서 시험생산하고 있는 중이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 단공정 금형의 스트립 레이아웃을 분석하여 프로그레시브금형설계 및 제작시 원가경쟁력을 갖추기 위하여 연구하였다.

Design of a Low-Power 500MHz CMOS PLL Frequency Synthesizer (저전력 500MHz CMOS PLL 주파수합성기 설계)

  • This paper describes a frequency synthesizer designed in a $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS technology for using local oscillators for the IF stages. The design is focused mainly on low-power characteristics. A simple ring-oscillator based VCO is used, where a single control signal can be used for variable resistors. The designed PLL includes all building blocks for elimination of external components, other than the crystal, and its operating frequency can be programmed by external data. It operates in the frequency range of 250MHz to 800MHz and consumes l.08mA at 500MHz from a 2.5V supply. The measured phase noise is -85dBc/Hz in-band and -105dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset. The die area is $1.09mm^2$

Improvement of Penetration Characteristics by Plasma Augmented Laser Welding of Small Diameter Stainless Steel Tubes (PALW을 이용한 소경 스테인리스강 튜브의 용입특성 개선)

  • Laser welding is obviously an attractive method to join small, thin parts such as small stainless steel tubes, but it is very sensitive to the joint clearance and tolerance, and this makes laser welding difficult to obtain consistent welding qualities over time. Recently, Plasma Augmented Laser Welding(PALW) is being developed to solve these problems. In this study, plasma arc welding(PAW) was introduced to join conventional V-grooved butt joint of thin stainless steel strips using single laser heat source in manufacturing small stainless steel tubes. The effect of the welding speed enhancement is investigated by the experiments. Effects of welding directions, distance between the heat sources and intensity of arc heat source on the optimal welding speed was investigated. Through this research, it was confirmed that PALW process has higher welding speed and robustness than laser welding process.

  • E-Commerce constitutes an important part of all commercial activities. Online Alternative Dispute Resolution(Online ADR) or Online Dispute Resolution(ODR) is a new method of dispute, resolution which, is provided online. Most Online ADR services are alternatives to litigation. In this respect, they are the online transposition of the methods developed in the ADR movement such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration. But there are also online courts which are really normal courts in which the contesting parties communicate essentially online. This paper deals with the current operation of Online ADR and the ways to, activate it. They include (1) die establishment of legal stability regarding Online ADR, (2) the enhancement of system security in providing Online ADR services, (3) the introduction of Online ADR service platform for providing the various services through single window on a national, or global basis, and (4) the introduction of Online ADR online monitoring system for systematic dispute resolution services.

Cutting Process Simulation in Transient Cuts (과도 절삭에서의 절삭 공정 시뮬레이션)

  • In most of the existing mechanistic models, the cutting process simulation is often restricted to a single path machining operation under a fixed cutting condition. Complex cutting processes such as die or mold manufacturing, however, are performed under two- or three-dimensional multiple tool paths. Since the tool paths in CNC machining are composed of line and arc segments, transient cuts are frequently occured due to the multiple paths. Even in steady cuts, the width of cut is varied with each segment. In this regard, this paper deals with the development of process simulation system for transient cuts, where continuously changing cutting configuration is computed, and then the cutting forces are predicted.

  • Recently, developments in the frontier industry have brought a rapid increase in the use of brittle materials such as silicon wafer, ferrite, sintered carbide, MgO single crystal and die steel. Because of high hardness and brittleness the cracking and chipping are apt to generate in the grinding of brittle materials, but have replaced gradually the high precision grinding. In this study, the optimum system of in-process electrolytic dressing controlled by computer was developed for improving the defects, and could maintain the optimum dressing condition at all times. The control of in-process dressing was simplified using this system, was able to maintain a stable dressing current and was unrelated to the change of dressing condition according to the variation of gap and oxide layer. Therefore, the optimum in-process electrolytic dressing system was constructed and the analysis of grinding mechanism with this system was studied.

  • In this paper Research development about a micro metal forming manufacturing system has been developed. A micro forming system has been achieved in Japan and it's developed micro press is limited to single forming process. To coincide with the purpose to be more practical, research and development is necessary about the press which the multi forming process is possible. We set the development of the equipment including micro deep drawing, micro punching and micro restriking process to the goal. To achieve this goal, we set the application product to a micro thin foil valve which is used in the micro pump module. The compound die set has been designed and manufactured to make two step process. The material of thin foil valve is SUS-304 and its thickness is 50$\mu$m. We can get a good forming results from micro punching experiments in this paper.

A Miniaturized CMOS MMIC Bandpass Filter with Stable Center Frequency for 2GHz Application

  • A miniaturized CMOS bandpass filter for a single RF transceiver system is presented, using diagonally end-shorted coupled lines and lumped capacitors. In contrast to conventional miniaturized coupled line filters, it is proven that the effective permittivity variation of the coupled transmission line has no effect on shifting the center frequency when the bandpass filter is highly miniaturized. A bandpass filter at a center frequency of 2 GHz was fabricated by $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The insertion loss with the die area of $1500{\mu}m{\times}1000{\mu}m$ is -5.14 dB. Simulated results are well agreed with the easurements. It also verify the center frequency stability in the compact size bandpass filter.

A Comparisonal Anlaysis among the Processes of Gear Blank (기어 블랭크 성형공정의 비교 해석)

  • Two methods for cold extrusion processes to produce an axisymmetric steel gear blank are investigated for comparing each other. The "classical" forming method consisting of four operations is selected first to be simulated using the rigid-plastic finite element method and uses single-die presses. The other using a fully automated transfer headers can produce the final part without interannealing. The final products must be checked at the design criteria such as area reduction, the extrusion ratio and punch diameter to depth ratio, especially punch buckling by simulations. FEM analysis is performed mainly for strain distribution, both process sequences are proved to have proper charicteristics suitable for each production method in terms of maximum load. Those simulation results will provide good design criteria in the future work to advance the manufacturing process.

  • A combined extrusion process studied here consists of forward and backward extrusion, and it is formed in single operation. The metal flow involved in the operation has appeared to be difficult to analyze accurately because of mixed directions of the flow. In this study, conventional two operations of a forward and a backward extrusions is transformed into one operation of mixed extrusion. A process designed by an industry expert is simulated by the rigid-plastic finite element method to investigate the metal flow and defects. In addition to the FEM simulation, experimental analysis has been carried out to confirm the design in industry, which includes material characterization, preliminary expriment, and whole experimental forming operation. The experimental results show that warm forming of extrusion is more desirable than cold working and hot forming in view of grain growth. Also two conditions of lubrication between workpiece and die has been investigated.
