수리온 임무탑재체계의 통합시험 환경개발 (Development of the MEP Integration Test Environment for Surion)

  • 최신항공기 개발에서 증가추세에 있는 항공전자 장비들의 효율적인 통합시험 수행을 위 해 통합시험환경구축이 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 특히 개발기간 최소화 및 신뢰성과 신속한 통합시험수행을 위해 통합시험장비 개발이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 수리온(KUH) 임무탑재장비(MEP)의 각 장비별 특성을 분석 후 최적의 통합시험 수행을 위한 장비별 모델개발을 다루었다. 모델은 동작특성에 따라 동적(Dynamic), 행동(Behavior), 연동(ICD) 모델로 구분하였으며 장비의 고장탐구 및 미장착된 장비의 동작특성 모사가 모델링의 주목적이다. 모델은 소프트웨어 단위시험 및 체계 통합시험 두 단계로 나누어 객관적 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 수리온 MEP 통합시험장비(SIL)를 이용하여 개발된 모델을 통합시험에 적용한 결과 설계 목적에 부합됨을 확인하였다.

  • The use of the Web-based Simulation Environment (WBSE) provides a strong influence on supply chain simulations. A virtual supply chain simulation is available to evaluate strategies for reducing response time to customers and for shrinking the finished goods inventory along its supply chain. This paper presents the basic concepts and definitions of Web-Based Global Supply Chain Management (WBGSCM) simulation system. It also discusses the advantages of supply chain simulation modules integration. A Time Synchronization Mechanism (TSM) called Phased Bucket Scheme (PBS) is introduced as an approach of the distributed simulation modules integration.

  • Stochastic process analysis is often based on Monte Carlo simulations. As a more rigorous alternative, a deterministic algorithm based on numerical integration is proposed in this paper. which calculates the probability distributions of dependent random variables using the results of simulation with grid points of independent random variables. For performance evaluation, the proposed algorithm is applied to an example problem which can be analytically solved. and the result is compared with that of Monte Carlo simulation. The proposed algorithm is suitable for general process simulation problems with a few independent random variables, and expected to be applicable to areas such as safety analysis and quality control.

  • 무인기 개발 시 항공전자시스템의 요구도 검증을 위해 통합시험능력을 제공하는 통합시험환경(SIL)을 개발하였다. 개발된 SIL은 유인항공기 SIL이 보유하고 있는 기능들을 기본적으로 제공하며, 각 구성품인 지상제어 모의, 비행체 모의, 비행환경 모의가 폐루프(Closed-Loop)로 연동되는 구조 하에서 시험 데이터의 가시화 및 시험자동화에 중점을 두고 설계되었다. 이로써 무인기의 복잡하고 수많은 요구도가 개발된 SIL을 통해 간편하고 정확하게 검증될 수 있었다. 개발된 SIL은 4단계의 검증과정을 통해 기능 및 성능의 정확성과 신뢰성이 검증되었으며, 무인기 지상체 및 비행체 통합을 위한 체계 SIL에서도 정상 동작함을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, requests for the accurate process planning using modeling and simulation technique are increasing in many engineering fields including shipbuilding industry. In this study, Combined DEVS(Discrete EVent System specification) and DTSS(Discrete Time System Specification) simulation kernel is developed, and an integration strategy of dynamics simulation module and graphics module is also implemented. To evaluate the efficiency and applicability of the simulation kernel and integration strategy, these are applied to the block erection simulation of offshore structures.

Logic circuit design for high-speed computing of dynamic response in real-time hybrid simulation using FPGA-based system

  • One of the issues in extending the range of applicable problems of real-time hybrid simulation is the computation speed of the simulator when large-scale computational models with a large number of DOF are used. In this study, functionality of real-time dynamic simulation of MDOF systems is achieved by creating a logic circuit that performs the step-by-step numerical time integration of the equations of motion of the system. The designed logic circuit can be implemented to an FPGA-based system; FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) allows large-scale parallel computing by implementing a number of arithmetic operators within the device. The operator splitting method is used as the numerical time integration scheme. The logic circuit consists of blocks of circuits that perform numerical arithmetic operations that appear in the integration scheme, including addition and multiplication of floating-point numbers, registers to store the intermediate data, and data busses connecting these elements to transmit various information including the floating-point numerical data among them. Case study on several types of linear and nonlinear MDOF system models shows that use of resource sharing in logic synthesis is crucial for effective application of FPGA to real-time dynamic simulation of structural response with time step interval of 1 ms.

A Study on the Evaluation Method for the Degree of Integration towards Office Towers in Different Climate Zones

  • High rise office buildings represent one of the most energy-intensive architectural typologies. The growth of urban population necessitates sustainable high rise towers that lessen environmental impacts and energy consumption. Among various sustainable strategies, the integrated design is long known to be an important process that has great impact on building's sustainability. The framework for this paper is based on the case study of integrated towers that are located in different climate zones. The paper specifically addresses to what extent climate conditions influence the design of a high rise building and what kinds of the climate integrated design has been implemented. Qualitative case studies were carried out using published data and architectural drawing set. The technical work presented in the paper is based on computer simulation that examines the insolation analysis using hourly recorded weather data. The analysis results revealed that the site and building envelope integration and the site and building service systems have shown the most frequently employed in the integrated towers through the implementation of renewable resource integration, high performance envelopes and sustainable building service systems. Internal comfort and further energy saving in the integrated towers are offered through an automatic building management system. Due to the dynamic climate conditions, integration of building systems requires a sophisticated approach to building sustainability.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Performance of Integrated INS/SPR Positioning during GPS Signal Blockage

  • Since the accuracy of Global Positioning System (GPS)-based vehicle positioning system is significantly degraded or does not work appropriately in the urban canyon, the integration techniques of GPS with Inertial Navigation System (INS) have intensively been developed to improve the continuity and reliability of positioning. However, its accuracy is degraded as INS errors are not properly corrected due to the GPS signal blockage. Recently, the image-based positioning techniques have been started to apply for the vehicle positioning for the advanced in processing techniques as well as the increased the number of cars installing the camera. In this study, Single Photo Resection (SPR), which calculates the camera exterior orientation parameters using the Ground Control Points (GCPs,) has been integrated with the INS/GPS for continuous and stable positioning. The INS/GPS/SPR integration was implemented in both of a loosely and a tightly coupled modes, based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). In order to analyze the performance of INS/SPR integration during the GPS outage, the simulation tests were conducted with a consideration of factors affecting SPR performance. The results demonstrate that the accuracy of INS/SPR integration is depended on magnitudes of the GCP errors and SPR processing intervals. Additionally, the simulation results suggest some required conditions to achieve accurate and continuous positioning, used the INS/SPR integration.

  • 논문에서는 레이더 시스템에서 코히런트 집적과 비 코히런트 집적의 SNR 성능에 대해서 비교한다. 본 논문에서는 레이더 시스템에서 반사파와 전송파의 왜곡을 방지하기 위해 펄스파를 송신 파형으로 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 포락선 검파기 앞에서 처리하는 코히런트 집적과 포락선 검파기 뒤에서 처리하는 비 코히런트 집적을 사용하여 목표물 탐지 거리를 추정하고 집적 방식에 따른 SNR 성능을 비교한다. 모의실험을 통해서 코히런트 집적과 비 코히런트 집적의 SNR 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 코히런트 집적이 비 코히런트 집적보다 SNR 성능이 우수함을 입증하였다.
