  • In this paper, range measurement performance of LRF (Laser Range Finder) module and image contrast of color CCD camera are evaluated under the aerosol (high temperature steam) environments, which are simulated severe accident conditions of the LWR (Light-Water-Reactor) nuclear power plant. Data of LRF and color CCD camera are key informations, which are needed in the implementation of SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) function for emergency response robot system to cope with urgently accidents of the nuclear power plant.

  • Recently, the study of energy saving technology of ships begins in earnest, as energy saving policies are performed all around the world. SEMS (Ship Energy Management System) is one of the techniques to increase energy efficiency by applying to a independent system like a ship and offshore. SEMS is composed of Cooling Pump Control System (CPCS), Renewable Energy Emergency Power Control System (REEPCS), Load Control System (LCS), and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System (HVACS). SEMS is enable to increase energy efficiency and achieve integrated management through the interlocking of each system. Especially, it is possible to improve the flexibility of the selection of the generator capacity in conjunction with a rechargeable battery and renewable energy. In this paper, SEMS applied rechargeable battery is proposed and simulated. By applying the rechargeable battery, it was confirmed that SEMS applied rechargeable battery can be operated at optimum efficiency of the generator.

  • In the present study, a numerical simulation of the subway carriage fire is performed to determine the more effective operation of Trackway Exhaust System(TES) in underground stations. The four types of possible TES operation (OSUS, OSUE, OEUS and OEUE) is simulated and compared their removal capability of smoke and hot temperature for the carriage fire of 2MW. From the results, the distribution of temperature and smoke concentration is more dependent on the operation of fans located at upper side of the platform than those at lower side. It is also found from the results that for more efficient smoke control, the fans at upper side of the platform should be operated as an exhaust system. Whereas the fans at lower side can be operated as a supply system to aid upper exhaust fans.

  • In this study, Mike11 will be used as the numerical model where a data assimilation method will be applied to it. This paper aims to gain an insight and understanding of data assimilation in flood forecasting models. It will start with a general discussion of data assimilation, followed by a description of the methodology and discussion of the statistical error forecast model used, which in this case is the linear regression. This error forecast model is applied to the water level forecast simulated by MIKE11 to produced improved forecast and validated against real measurements. It is found that there exists a phase error in the improved forecasts. Hence, 2 general formula are used to account for this phase error and they have shown improvement to the accuracy of the forecasts, where one improved the immediate forecast of up to 5 hours while the other improved the estimation of the peak discharge.

  • This paper presents the probabilistic seismic microzonation of densely populated Kolkata city, situated on the world's largest delta island with very soft alluvial soil deposit. At first probabilistic seismic hazard analysis of Kolkata city was carried out at bedrock level and then ground motion amplification due to sedimentary deposit was computed using one dimensional (1D) wave propagation analysis SHAKE2000. Different maps like fundamental frequency, amplification at fundamental frequency, peak ground acceleration (PGA), peak ground velocity (PGV), peak ground displacement (PGD), maximum response spectral acceleration at different time period bands are developed for variety of end users, structural and geotechnical engineers, land use planners, emergency managers and awareness of general public. The probabilistically predicted PGA at bedrock level is 0.12 g for 50% exceedance in 50 years and maximum PGA at surface level it varies from 0.095 g to 0.18 g for same probability of exceedance. The scenario of simulated ground motion revealed that Kolkata city is very much prone to damage during earthquake.

해군 건선거 모의실험 연구 (A Simulation Study of Navy Drydocks)

  • A simulation study was conducted to determine optimum capacity of Navy drydock facility using GASP-IV, an advanced FORTRAN-based simulation language, under demands of regular overhauls and emergency repairs by ships of an hypothetical fleet composition. Three year dock usage data was analyzed to produce probability distributions underlying drydock repair demands. The present facility size of two drydocks was simulated and was found to be somewhat short of adequate service capability, showing excessive average waiting time and average queue length. The simulation model was then modified to include an additional drydock of similar size as the other two and a year's simulation was again conducted. All repair needs were quite satisfactorily met and all docks showed very high utilization factor (0.98). This contributed to an increase in the fleet's ship availability from 0.95 to 0.99. This study illustrates the usefulness of simulation technique as a tool for analyzing policy alternatives in military long-term investment areas.

전력계통 안정화를 위한 전압보상설비 운용 방안 (Operation method of Voltage Compensation Devices for power system stability)

  • A new algorithm for a coordinative control method is proposed with respect to voltage control and system stabilization of local substations. This is accomplished using control cooperation between a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) and the existing voltage compensation equipment in the steady state and emergency state of a power system. A real-time system analysis was developed by combining a system analysis program with InTouch, which has primarily been used in factory automation for verification. PSS/E was used for the load flow calculation software, Python for language, Intouch as an HMI program, and MS SQL for the database. To test this system, the system in the vicinity of the Migeum and the Migeum substations was modeled and simulated.

로보트 교시.정비작업시의 안전속도한계 (Safe Speed Limit of Robot Arm During Teaching and Maintenance Work)

  • Serious injuries and deaths due to multi-jointed robot occur when a man mispercepts. especially during robot teaching and maintenance work. Since industrial robots often operate with unpredictable motion patterns, establishment of safe speed limit of robot arm is indispensable. An experimental emergency conditions were simulated with a multi-jointed robot. and response characteristics of human operators were measured. The result showed that failure type, robot arm axis. and robot arm speed had significant effects on human reaction time. The reaction time was slightly increased with robot arm speed. though it showed somewhat different pattern owing to failure type. Furthermore the reaction time to the axis which could flex or extend. acting on a workpiece directly. was fastest and its standard deviation was small. The robot arm speed limit securing a‘possible contact zone’based on overrun distance was about 25cm/sec. and in this sense the validity of safe speed limits suggested by many precedent researchers were discussed.

몬테카를로 방법론을 이용한 측정 대상의 인체 크기와 측정 위치에 따른 전신계수기 계수효율 평가 (Assessment of Counting Efficiency of a Whole Body Counter by Human Body Size and Standing Position Using Monte Carlo Method)

  • 방사선사고 시 내부오염 평가대상의 범위는 성인뿐만 아니라 소아까지 전 연령층으로 확대된다. 본 연구에서는 전신계수기의 측정 정확도를 향상시키기 위해 측정대상의 인체 크기와 측정 위치에 따른 계수효율을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서는 한국원자력의학원에서 사용하는 전신계수기인 FASTSCAN에 대해 방사선수송코드를 이용하여 전산 모사하였다. 측정한 계수효율과 계산한 계수효율의 상대편중은 4세 소아의 경우 2% 이하이였으며, 성인의 경우에도 5% 이하로 일치하였다. 측정 대상의 키가 작을수록 검출기와의 거리가 멀어지는 문제를 보완하고 인체 크기에 따른 계수효율의 일관적인 경향성을 도출하기 위해, 측정대상의 측정 위치를 조절하여 전신계수기의 계수효율을 평가하였다. 조절된 측정 위치에서의 전신계수기 계수효율을 바탕으로 측정 대상의 인체 크기 차이에 의한 내부오염도 평가 시 측정 오차를 줄일 수 있는 인체 크기 보정인자를 도출하였다. 도출된 보정인자는 전신계수기 측정결과에 곱하여 측정대상의 내부오염도를 쉽게 평가할 수 있으며, 궁극적으로 방사선사고 시 전신계수기를 이용한 내부오염도의 측정 정확도를 크게 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

로드셀 기반의 실내 위치추적 보완 기법 (Supplementation of the Indoor Location Tracking Techniques Based-on Load-Cells Mechanism)

  • 기존의 실내 침입 탐지 및 대상 객체의 이동 경로 추정은 객체가 수신 장치를 갖고 있어야 하는 문제점과 단일 셀(약 $100cm{\times}100cm$)의 공간 내에 객체의 수와 이동 범위를 파악할 수 없는 문제가 지적되어 왔다. 이러한 방법을 해결하기 위해 보편적으로 사용되는 기술인 CCTV를 이용한 방법은 환경적인 변수로 인하여 상당히 제한적일 뿐만 아니라 음영 지역에서(e.g., 상황인식 시스템이 설치되지 않은 곳, 광량이 현저히 낮아 환경의 상황을 파악할 수 없을 경우) 서비스를 받을 수 없다. 이에 본 논문은 센서 네트워크(Sensor Network) 시스템 기반의 객체 탐지 및 대응의 범위 확대가 가능함과 동시에 대상 객체의 이동경로 추적을 능동적으로 대응할 수 있는 실내 보안감시 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 가상의 시나리오에 기반을 두어 구현되었으며, 기존 시설에서 발생할 수 있는 환경적인 단점인 신호의 단절 및 사물의 위치 추정에 대한 손실을 보완하며, 위급한 상황 및 객체에 대한 행동 패턴의 신속한 분석이 가능케 되어, 비상시 사고 예방 및 발생된 상황에 대한 유연한 대처가 가능하리라 사료된다.
