단주교각 강박스교량의 거동계수 (Behavior Factor of a Steel Box Bridge with Single Column Piers)

  • As the response spectrum method generally used in the earthquake resistant design is a linear method, the nonlinear behavior of a structure is to be reflected with a specific factor. Such factors are provided in the "Design Criteria for Roadwaybridges"as response modification factors and in the Eurocode 8, Part 2 as behavior factors. In this study a 5-span steel box bridge with single column piers is selected and the behavior factor is determined. The linear time history analyses are carried out with a simple linear model, where the nonlinear behavior of piers leading to the ductile failure mechanism is considered as predetermined characteristic curves.

구조연성을 고려한 복합재료 상자형 보의 강성계수 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Calculation of Stiffness Properties for Composite Box-Beams with Elastic Couplings)

  • In the present work, a linear static analysis is presented for thin-walled prismatic box-beams made of generally anisotropic materials. A mixed beam theory has been used to model and carry out the analysis. Three different constitutive relations are assessed into the beam formulation. Simple layup cases having symmetric or anti-symmetric configuration have been chosen and tested to clearly show the effects of elastic couplings of the beam. Both 2D and 3D finite element structural analysis using the MSC/NASTRAN has been performed to validate the current analytical results. Results show that appropriate assumptions for the constitutive equations are important and prerequisite for the accurate prediction of beam stiffness constants and also for the beam behavior.

저전력 AES 암호시스템을 위한 경량의 S-Box 설계 (Design of Lightweight S-Box for Low Power AES Cryptosystem)

  • 본 논문에는 저전력 AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) 암호시스템을 구현하기 위한 합성체 기반의 경량 S-Box 구조 설계를 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 GF(((22)2)2) 상에서 사용면적 및 처리속도의 개선을 위해서 x2, λ, 그리고 GF((22)2) 등 3개의 모듈을 1개의 모듈로 통합한 단순 구조로 설계한다. 설계된 AES S-Box는 Verilog-HDL를 기반으로 하여 구조적 모델링을 하였으며, Xilinx ISE 14.7툴 상에서 Spartan 3s1500l FPGA 소자를 타켓으로 하여 논리합성을 수행하였다. 논리적인 동작을 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션은 Modelsim 10.3 툴을 이용하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 설계된 S-Box가 정확히 동작함을 확인하였다.

A High-efficiency Trim Method for CFD Numerical Calculation of Helicopter Rotors

  • In order to resolve the trimming difficulty in rotor CFD calculations, a high-efficiency and improved "delta trim method" is established to compute the blade control settings that are necessary to identify the blade motion. In this method, a simplified model which combines the blade element theory and different inflow models is employed to calculate the control settings according to the target aerodynamic forces, then it is coupled into a CFD solver with unsteady Navier-Stokes equations by the delta methodology, which makes the control settings and aerodynamics calculated and updated in the meantime at every trim cycle. Different from the previous work, the current research combines the inflow model based on prescribed wake theory. Using the method established, the control settings and aerodynamic characteristics of Helishape 7A, AH-1G and Caradonna-Tung rotors are calculated. The influence of different inflow models on trimming calculations is analyzed and the computational efficiency of the current "delta trim method" is compared with that of the "CFD-based trim method". Furthermore, for the sake of improving the calculation efficiency, a novel acceleration factor method is introduced to accelerate the trimming process. From the numerical cases, it is demonstrated that the current "delta trim method" has higher computational efficiency than "CFD-based trim method" in both hover and forward flight, and up to 70% of the amount of calculation can be saved by current "delta trim method" which turns out to be satisfactory for engineering applications. In addition, the proposed acceleration factor shows a good ability to accelerate the trim procedure, and the prescribed wake inflow model is always of better stability than other simple inflow models whether the acceleration factor is utilized in trimming calculations.

  • A simple mathematical model for gacilitated mass transport with a fixed site carrier membrane was derived by assuming an instantaneous, microscopic concentration (activity) fluctuation, The concentration fluctuation, developed due to reversible chemical reaction between carrier and solute, could acuse the higher chemical potential gradient and the facilitated transport. For mathematical formulation, an analogy was employed between the mass transfer for the facilitated transport with fixed site carrier membrane and the electron transfer in a parallel resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit. For the single RC model, it was assumed that a single capacitor represented the total carrier and a solute could not inter-diffuse between matrix and carrier, allowing only two diffusional pathways, This assumption was relaxed by adopting a serial combination of the parallel RC circuit. Here, a solute diffuses in two elements (matrix or carrier) can exchange its pathway, exhibiting four diffusional pathways. The current models were examined against experimental data and the agreement was exceptional.

  • 실시간 유출예측에서 주로 쓰이는 추계학적 강우-유출 과정모형은 모형구조가 간단하고 상태 공간 모형으로 수식화하기에 용이한 TF모형이다. 이 모형을 이용하여 실시간 유출예측을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 정확한 모형구조의 결정이 선행되어야 하며, 특히 예측초기의 오차를 줄일 수 있는 방법이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위하여 유역의 초기습윤상태를 나타낼 수 있는 5일 선행강우지수를 threshold개념으로 도입하고, 각각의 TF모형을 Box-Jenkins 방법으로 등정하여 비교 검토하여 보았다.

  • 최근에 자율주행자동차에 대해 매우 활발한 연구와 개발이 진행되고 있다. 자율주행자동차를 구현하기 위해서는 매우 많은 기술들이 융복합적으로 해결되어야 한다. 이를 위해 차량에 장착된 블랙박스는 단순히 녹화기능 뿐만 아니라 신호등인식, 보행자검출, 정지선인식 등과 같이 자율주행차량을 구현하기 위한 핵심적인 기능을 제공할 수 있어 많은 연구 대상이 되고 있다. 따라서 자율주행차량을 구현하기 위한 한 가지 접근방법으로서 본 논문에서는 차량에 장착된 블랙박스 카메라를 이용하여 도로상에 위치한 거리를 효과적으로 예측할 수 있는 수식적인 모델을 제시한다. 제안한 모델은 도로의 기준선과 관찰선의 폭 또는 블랙박스 장착 높이 정보만을 이용함으로써 실제 도로상의 거리를 예측하는데 효과적으로 활용할 수 있음을 보인다. 다양한 실험을 통하여 본 논문에서 제안한 도로상의 거리 예측 모델이 타당함을 보인다.

Box Model Approach for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management in a Subway Station Environment

  • Air quality in a subway tunnel has been crucial in most of the subway environments where IAQ could be affected by many factors such as the number of passengers, the amount and types of ventilation, train operation factors and other facilities. A modeling approach has been introduced to manage the general IAQ in a subway station. Field surveys and $CO_2$ measurements were initially conducted to analyze and understand the relationship between indoor and outdoor air quality while considering internal pollution sources, such as passengers and subway trains, etc. The measurement data were then employed for the model development with other statistical information. For the model development, the algorithm of simple continuity was set up and applied to model the subway IAQ concerned, while considering the major air transport through staircases and tunnels. Monitored $CO_2$ concentration on the concourse and platform were correlated with modeling results where the correlation values for the concourse and platform were $R^2=0.96$ and $R^2=0.75$, respectively. It implies that the box modeling approach introduced in this study would be beneficial to predict and control the indoor air quality in subway environments.

단순모델을 이용한 막 가습기 열 및 물질 전달 특성 해석 (Mass and Heat Transfer Analysis of Membrane Humidifier with a Simple Lumped Mass Model)

  • The performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is seriously changed by the humidification condition which is intrinsic characteristics of the PEMFC. Typically, the humidification of fuel cell is carried out with internal or external humidifier. A membrane humidifier is applied to the external humidification of residential power generation fuel cell due to its convenience and high performance. In this study, a simple static model is constructed to understand the physical phenomena of the membrane humidifier in terms of geometric parameters and operating parameters. The model utilizes the concept of shell and tube heat exchanger but the model is also able to estimate the mass transport through the membrane. Model is constructed with FORTRAN under Matlab/$Simulink^{(R)}$ $\Box$environment to keep consistency with other components model which we already developed. Results shows that the humidity of wet gas and membrane thickness are critical parameters to improve the performance of the humidifier.

영산강 하구해역에서의 단순 박스모델에 의한 물질수지 (Material Budgets in the Youngsan River Estuary with Simple Box Model)

  • 영산강 하구해역에서 계절별로 물질순환과 영양염 플럭스 특성을 파악하기 위해 단순 박스모델을 이용하여 담수수지, 염분수지, 영양염 물질수지를 산정하였다. 외해, 시스템영역으로 유입되는 계절적 평균담수의 양은 $36.481{\times}10^6{\sim}663.634{\times}10^6m^3/month$로 나타났다. 염분수지에 의해 계산된 담수존재량은 $2.515{\times}10^6{\sim}5.812{\times}10^6m^3$이었고 평균 체류시간은 0.26~2.03일로 계산되었다. 평균체류시간은 계절별로 큰 차이를 보였는데 강우가 집중된 하계 풍수기에는 0.26일의 짧은 체류시간을 보인 반면 추계 갈수기에는 2.03일의 평균체류시간을 나타내었다. 해수교환량은 $1,248{\times}10^6{\sim}9,489{\times}10^6m^3/month$으로 하계 풍수기에 해수교환량이 가장 크게 나타났다. 영양염의 부하량은 DIP과 DIN가 각각 2.9~61.22 ton/month, 76.63~1,149.91 ton/month로 계산되었다. 영양염의 체류시간은 DIP의 경우 0.45~1.10일의 범위를, DIN의 경우 0.28~1.92일의 범위를 보였고, 담수체류시간과 비교하면 DIP과 DIN는 하계를 제외한 전 계절에서 담수 체류시간 보다 짧은 체류시간을 보여 영양염이 빠르게 순환되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 DIP는 동계에 외해에서 상대적으로 높은 농도를 보이고 같은 시기에 해수교환에 의한 플럭스가 시스템 영역내로 유입되는 결과를 보여 외부 유입원 존재를 추정하게 하였다.
