This paper examined the supply chain management partnerships factors and business performance in Korean industry. As SCM got evolved, the importance of partnership and relationship among the SC members are increased. we should consider the following critical factors such as lead-time reduction, embedness, trust. The purpose of this study is to focus on partnership factors and flexibility to clarify with the Partnering experience which of the SCM factors contribute to business performance for the SCM firms. Based on the analysis of seventy cases, the following results were found. First, SCM operational factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on flexibility of supply chain management. Second, partnerships experience factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on flexibility of supply chain management. This study suggests that partnerships are main factors for the business performance. Especially, our empirical evidence shows that partnership experience can improve the influence on SCM operational factors and business performance.

The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of family support on hope of the patients with stroke. Subjects were 53 in-patients with stroke in two general hospitals and one oriental medicine hospital located in Seoul and Kwang-Ju. The instruments used for this study : The family support scale developed by Kang Hyun Suk(1985). The hope scale developed by Nowotny(1989). The Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA. Pearson's correlation and simple regression. Data had been collected from December 24, 1998 to January 31, 1999. The results of this study were as follows The mean score of family support was 43.94 and the mean score of the hope was 80.89. The relationship between family support and the hope of the patients with stroke revealed a significant correlation (r= .560, p= .0001). The variables influencing family support and the hope of the patients with stroke were as follows : There was significant difference between family support and general characteristic factor, which was family chief caregiver (p= .002). There was no significant difference between hope and general characteristic factors. but There were significant differences between one of the subscales of hope, 'confidence in the outcome' and general characteristic factors, which were age(p= .021), perceived disability effect(p= .027). There were significant differences between one of the subscales of hope 'possibility of future', and general characteristic factors, which were age(p= .016), education(p= .018). There was significant difference between one of the subscales of hope. 'spiritual belief', and general characteristic factors, which was religion(p= .002). There was significant difference between one of the subscales of hope, 'active involvement', and general characteristic factors, which was family chief caregiver (p= .012). It was found that the higher the degree of perceived family support, the higher the degree of hope. Clearly, the perceived family support can contribute significantly and positively to hope of the patients with stroke. Therefore, nurses should plan interventions to inspire hope level of patients with stroke by family support. The above results may be used as the basic data to seek more efficient way of elevating nursing practice and qualify for the patients with stroke.
This research empirically investigated the influence factors on the adoption of environmental management systems (EMS) in Korean manufacturing firms. In this study, the external factors (cause factors), the internal factors (facilitating factors) and the firm specific characteristics were integrally considered. In the factor analysis, the third item (regional society) of the external factors and the first item (environmental law) of government regulation were confounded with the items of the other factors. Thus, the confounded items were removed. In the second factor analysis, no items were replicated. The results of a multiple regression analysis showed that the influence factors such as government regulation, normative pressure, top management support, environmental strategy and employees' recognition, and ratio of large shareholders have a significant impact on the construction of EMS. However, the effects of the other firm specific characteristics were not statistically significant. We also examined whether both the number of environmental personnel and the allocation of environmental resources, which are directly related with the adoption of EMS, have a moderating impact on the relationships between other internal factors and the construction of EMS. With a subgroup analysis, the moderating roles of the number of environmental personnel were empirically confirmed. Through a multiple regression analysis, the direct effects of the external factors on the adoption or construction of the internal factors were demonstrated. The effects of government regulation, normative pressure and imitative pressure on the internal factors were significant and positive. Finally, in this study, the fact that the adoption of EMS can improve the environmental performance of a firm was also empirically found.

This study aims to identify the influence of risk-inducing factors and safety inspection on the measures of reducing accidents among workers of building structures in small construction sites. The result can be summarized as follows: First, as for the influence of risk-inducing factors on human factors, preparation for work, disintegrating molds, taking follow-up measures, and keeping records, have statistically significant influences. Therefore, it can be said that safety inspection has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and human factors. Second, as for the influence of risk-inducing factors on facility factors, preparation for work, and taking follow-up measures influenced significantly. This indicates that safety inspection has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and facility factors. Third, as for the influence of risk-inducing factors on management factors, the installation of shores and risk assessment are found to have significant effects. This shows that safety inspection has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and management factors. Fourth, the influence of risk-inducing factors on work factors was significant only in the installation of shores. This indicates that safety inspection has a completely mediating effect in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and work factors. Finally, in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and accident reduction measures, preparation for work, installation of shores, and taking follow-up measures showed significantly positive influences. In contrast, keeping records has a significant negative influence. Thus, safety inspection has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between risk-inducing factors and management factors.

This study intended to investigate exploratorily the precedent factors affecting two types of perceived balances between work and life(family/leisure) and the antecedent ones affected by them, focusing on the metro train drivers. To attain this purpose, literature survey on the precedent factors, work-life balance, and antecedent factors was performed, and the study model was designed based on this survey, and then this model was analyzed empirically using Multiple-Regression. The results on the precedent factors showed that Job Demand, Self-Efficacy, and Age have significant effects on the negative transfer of work. On the other hand, it was shown that Affiliative Culture, Self-Efficacy, and Internal Locus of Control have significant effects on the family centered balance. And the results on the antecedent factors showed that family centered balance has significant effects on Job Satisfaction, Psychological Depression and Fatigue, Safety Behavior, and accident, and the negative transfer of work has significant effects on Physical and Psychological Depression and Fatigue, Emergency Stress, and Safety Behavior.
Purpose - This study aimed to understand the influence of visible factors directly shown to and experienced by consumers such as physical evidence, and invisible factors obtained through acquaintances or other experienced consumers such as word-of-mouth, in the discount stores' marketing communication on impulse buying intention and store loyalty. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study examined the effect of factors in discount stores' marketing communication, for instance, physical evidence, word-of-mouth, and buying impulse intention. The questionnaire survey resulted in 68 completed questionnaires. Results - Physical evidence and word-of-mouth have a statistically significant positive effect on store loyalty. The results of regression analysis regarding whether visible or invisible factors have more impact showed that word-of-mouth has a statistically significant positive effect on store loyalty. With regard to impulse buying intention, only word-of-mouth was statistically significant. Conclusion These results suggested that visible and invisible factors that appeal to customers are very important. In particular, the results suggested that stores should create invisible factors (e.g., positive word-of-mouth) for their customers.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Serum ferritin levels are significantly increased after menopause and greatly affect women's health. The aim of this study was to investigate the dietary and non-dietary factors associated with high ferritin levels in postmenopausal women. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Among adult women in 2010-2012, qualified postmenopausal women (n = 3880) were separated into quartiles of serum ferritin. The variable differences among the quartiles of ferritin were determined using either procsurvey chi-square test (${\chi}^2$-test) among categorical variables, or GLM (Generalized Linear Model) among continuous variables. The odds ratio for high ferritin in relation to dietary factors was also determined using procsurvery logistic analysis. RESULTS: Age, obesity, drinking habit, and blood glucose levels were found to be significant indicators of high serum ferritin level after adjusting for all confounding factors. Among the food groups, grain, milk, vegetable, and seaweed intakes were significantly associated with high ferritin levels, but after adjusting for all confounding factors, only grains and vegetables remained significant factors. Among the nutrient groups, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C intake were significant factors, but after adjustment, none of the nutrient groups analyzed were associated with a high risk of ferritin. CONCLUSION: Age, obesity, drinking habit, and glucose levels, as well as inadequate intakes of grains and vegetables, were found to be significantly associated with high serum ferritin levels in postmenopausal Korean women.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between knowledge sharing antecedents and knowledge sharing intention in a financial institute and knowledge sharing behavior, knowledge sharing behavior and knowledge sharing performance. This paper first reviews the influencing factors of knowledge sharing and presents the research framework on knowledge sharing with categorized four factors such as structural factors, relational factors, personal and task characteristics. Based on a research framework, survey analysis was conducted with financial institution members. This paper examined the relationship between antecedents of knowledge sharing and knowledge sharing intention, knowledge sharing intention and knowledge sharing behavior. Also it analyzed the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and the knowledge sharing performance. As a result, the paper suggested that the knowledge sharing intention consist of two dimensions. The first is voluntary knowledge sharing intention. The second is solicited knowledge sharing intention. The former has a significant positive relationship with the innovativeness, communication, personal creative propensity and perception of the knowledge sharing. The later has a significant positive relationship with the task interdependence but has a significant negative relationship with the knowledge sharing evaluation system. Knowledge sharing intention has a significant positive relationship with the knowledge sharing behavior. Also knowledge sharing behavior has a significant positive relationship with the knowledge sharing performance. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study are discussed.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between values orientation and fashion image orientation with a focus on the new senior generation. The study conducted data analysis by using the SPSS 17.0 program for the final 397 copies excluding incomplete questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows. First, values orientation was drawn as the four factors of social orientation, dependent orientation, family-like orientation, and individual orientation. The fashion image orientation was compartmentalized as three factors: urban image, individual image, and feminine image. Second, social orientation had a significant effect on feminine image as shown in Photo 1, while only individual orientation exerted a significant influence on individual image (Photo 2). Social orientation and family-like orientation respectively exercised a significant influence on individual image and feminine image, and feminine image (Photo 3). Third, the four groups did not show a significant difference in the relationship with the sub-elements of fashion image orientation. It appeared that all four groups were felt as a complex image in which modern, feminine, and individual images were mixed. Fourth, the four groups showed a significant difference in the unusual, elegant, refined, youthful, feminine, and modern images among the factors of fashion image orientation.

Cases of botched information systems implementation have been surfaced due to poor IS project management and control. One major source of such failures is the perceptual difference between the participants of IS projects who should define potential risk factors well before considered IS projects are launched. Based on risk factors cited from prior works, this paper empirically examines the risk factors associated with IS service project management to analyze perceptual differences between the IS service providers and customers in Korea. Data analyses found significant differences in the area of scheduling/resource, technological newness, communications, and sponsorship/ownership while statistically significant differences were observed in eleven individual factors out of forty six risk factors. Risk factors are also ordered in terms of perceived importance to highlight the critical differences.
