A signalling system generally designates electrical conditions and transmissionㆍreceiving programs of exchange control use signals concerning the establishmentㆍreleaseㆍtariff etc of calls between telephone subscribers and an exchange office or inter-exchange offices. In signalling system, different systems are being used according as communication service for control. With the development of exchange and transmission technique and higher functional advance, there exist many kinds of signalling systems. As for the signalling system used in international communication, an international standardization is specially important for the exchange of each country to operate properly and execute a smooth exchange connection. A term "signalling system" is chiefly used in telephone exchange system, while in telex exchange system "signalling condition, " and in data exchange system "protocol" is used. According to the computerization of railway signalling systems, the safety demonstration and assessment of railway signalling system is very important. For this reason, railway signalling systems reflect the needs of methodology to assessment the safety. Then many studies of safety assessment methodology for railway signalling systems centering on the Europe, have been made continuously, and the requirements for safety acceptance are currently standardized by IEC. To develop and establish the safety assessment technology for railway signalling system in Korea, we are reviews the safety assessment activities for signalling system through the reviews of related std., case study and consulting by experts.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental monogenic disorder with a strong genetic influence. Idiopathic autism could be defined as a type of autism that does not have a specific causative agent. Among signalling cascades, mTOR signalling pathway plays a pivotal role not only in cell cycle, but also in protein synthesis and regulation of brain homeostasis in ASD patients. The present review highlights, underlying mechanism of mTOR and its role in altered signalling cascades as a triggering factor in the onset of idiopathic autism. Further, this review discusses how distorted mTOR signalling pathway stimulates truncated translation in neuronal cells and leads to downregulation of protein synthesis at dendritic spines of the brain. This review concludes by suggesting downstream regulators such as p70S6K, eIF4B, eIF4E of mTOR signalling pathway as promising therapeutic targets for idiopathic autistic individuals.

We have developed interlocking signalling chart using computer. The basic tool for the automatic signalling chart is table which represent relation between routes and track circuit and track circuit and switch, from track layout being traced using CAD system. In this paper, three elements to be considered are proposed when the signalling chart is build.

Satellite communication systems will play an important role in establishing high-speed information communication network ddue to the characteristics of flexibility of bandwidth, mobile communication, wide coverage, multipoint and broadcasting. Also satellite systems have the capability to supply terrestrial B-ISDN with flexible links for accessing networks as well as trunking networks. Therefore, satellites must provide compatibility to earth-based B-ISDN signalling interface, services and network capability. This paper proposed interworking model between terrestrial B-ISDN and satellite B-ISDN signalling protocol and illustrated basic call-process procedure of satellite B-ISDN signalling protocol supporting point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connection.

Metro is taking an important part as a public transportation of densely populated area. but according to request of increasing transportation demand and improving service for passengers, minimizing headway, functional improvement of safety facility, improving riding comfort are needed. Also, it is the time for Seoul metro's signalling system to be improved into a new one as it has been opened to traffic for over 20 years and its signalling system is becoming superannuated. this paper reviewed the considerations at improving a signalling system and its solution.

본 논문에서는 CCITT에서 권고한 ISDN D-채널 access protocol의 queueing 모델을 제시하였으며 그 모델을 이용하여 signalling message와 packet message의 delay의 Laplace transform을 구하였다. 그 분석결과는 simulation을 통하여 검증하였으며, 또한 D-채널 access 시스템에서의 packet 및 signalling message 의 delay 특성에 대하여 비교 설명하였다.

The Railway Signalling Equipment's transformation to Micro-electronic has been caused to the decrease of its introspection against a surge voltage. So, there has been many tries to protect the railway signalling equipment from a surge voltage by using of a various surge protector. In this study, we are trying to draw up the protective plan to prevent this weakness on introspection by analyzing the electric characteristic on such a surge protector and reviewing the way on distributing wires in signalling room.

ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 is currently planning, making contract, constructing and operating at several lines in European well-developed railway countries different from past ten years ago, and applying extensively for purpose of its intercompatibility and operational efficiency, and economic feasibility. On the other hand, ATP system correspond to ETCS Level 1, which was domestically introduced in early 2000, has introduced, operated, and planned or constructed in national railwaynetwork, but the lines, which its improvement period is come, are being occurred starting Gyeongbu Line. Therefore, we study the consideration and construction plan by stages if LTE-R Korean Radio-based Train Control System for conventional & high-speed railway under domestic development is extensively applied as the third National Railway Network Construction Plan was announced.
