  • 분자설계를 통하여 측쇄를 변화시킨 아크릴공중합체를 합성하여 아크릴공중합체 점착제와 초박형웨이퍼와의 젖음성 및 점착물성을 조사하였다. 선형 아크릴공중합체를 에폭시계 Tetra-DX 가교제와 반응시켜 3차원 망상구조를 형성하고 가교의 영향을 조사하였다. 계면상호작용보다는 아크릴공중합체의 측쇄변화가 젖음성에 더 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 가교도가 증가할수록 probe tack, peel strength가 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 가교에 의해 SAFT 내열성이 증가하였지만 가교제의 함량이 증가하면 오히려 SAFT 내열성이 감소하였다.

  • In this paper we investigated the transcription of liquid crystal (LC) alignment method by using memory effect of nematic(N) LCon polymide(PI) surface with side chain as for non-rubbing alignment techniques. That the monodomain alignment of aligned NLC is observed by microscope textures in the cells on PI surface with side chain. We obtained that the pretilt angle of NLC are generated about 3.7$^{\circ}$on PI surface. We suggest that the LC alignment by using transcription alingnment method is attributed to memory effect of NLC on PI surface.

Dithiophosphate Group을 함유한 디올유도체의 합성 및 내마모성-말단 알킬기 및 몸체 알킬기의 탄소사슬에 따른 영향 (Synthese and Anti-wear Properties of Diol Derivatives Containing Dithiophosphate Group-effect on Main Alkyl Chain and Side Alkyl Chain)

  • 알칸디올로부터 유래된 주사슬의 탄소수가 6, 9, 11인 bis[3-(dialkyloxylphosphorothionyl)thio-2-methylpropanyloxy]alkane (BAPA)를 합성하였으며, 이를 zinc dialkyl dithiophosphates (ZDDP)와 비교하여 마모억제성능을 살펴보았다. 탄소 주사슬의 길이에 따른 BAPA의 내마모성능을 확인하기 위하여 4-ball 시험을 하였다. 기유무게의 1% 농도로 첨가제를 넣고 WSD (wear scar diameter)를 측정하였고, 각 0.472, 0.459, 0.480 mm로 나타났다. 또한 BAPA 화합물 중 bis[methacryloyloxy]nonane (BMOO9)의 곁사슬인 dialkyl dithiophosphoric acid (DDP)의 탄소수를 4, 8, 12로 변화시켜 합성하여, 4-ball 시험을 하였다. 그 결과로 WSD의 값은 각각 0.537, 0.459, 0.531 mm로 측정되었다. 곁사슬이 짧으면 필름이 얇게 형성되고, 길면 필름형성을 방해하여 탄소수가 8개일 때의 값이 제일 좋게 나타났다. ZDDP의 경우 동일한 조건에서 WSD의 값이 0.563 mm로 측정되었고, 합성한 BAPA의 화합물이 마모억제용 첨가제로 더 우수한 성능을 갖는다는 것을 확인하였다.

Dynamic Behavior of Photoinduced Birefringence of Copolymers Containing Aminonitro Azobenzene Chromophore in the Side Chain

  • Photoresponsive side chain polymers containing aminonitro azobenzene were synthesized for studying optically induced birefringence. Four different copolymers were prepared using methacrylate, a-methylstyrene, and itaconate monomer. Two copolymers are totally amorphous and the other two are liquid crystalline in nature. Trans-to-cis photoisomerization was observed under the exposure of UV light with UV-VIS absorption spectroscopy. Reorientation of polar azobenzene molecules induced optical anisotropy under a linearly polarized light at 532 nm. The dynamic parameters of optically induced birefringence let us compare the effect of polymeric structure on the rate of growth and decay of the birefringence. Besides the effect of glass transition temperature on the dynamics of photoinduced birefringence, we focused our interests on the geometrical hindrance of polar azobenzene molecules and cooperative motion of environmental mesogenic molecules in the vicinity of polar azobenzene moiety.

지지면에 따른 닫힌 사슬운동이 성인의 균형에 미치는 영향 (Effects of a Closed Chain Movement of the Support Surface on the Balance of Adults)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of balance ability by performing closed chain exercise on stable support surface and unstable support surface in twenties. Methods This study randomly selected 15 students in the closed chain exercise group on the stable support side and 15 on the closed chain exercise group on the unstable support side. Balance ability was measured before and after the start of exercise and static balance was measured by OLT(One Leg Standing Test) and FRT (Functional Reach Test). Result The changes of the function reach test of the closed chain movement according to the ground type were significant in the unstable and stable support surfaces and the change of function reach test after the intervention in the two groups was significantly improved compared with the closed chain movement respectively. The one leg standing test changes of the closed chain movement according to the ground type showed significant results on the unstable and stable support surfaces, but there was no significant difference in the one leg standing test changes after intervention between the two groups. Conclusion The effect of closed chain training on ground type is unstable. The change of function reach test and one leg standing test of the closed chain exercise group on the stable support surface resulted in significant changes after exercise, but there was a significant difference in the balance ability of function reach test change after intervention between the groups.

The Effect of Phenoxymethyl Side Groups on the Liquid Crystal Alignment Behavior of Polystyrene Derivatives

  • We synthesized a series of polystyrene derivatives containing various side chain terminal moieties, such as phenoxymethyl, 4-methoxyphenoxymethyl, 4-fluorophenoxymethyl, 4-methylphenoxymethyl, and 4-trifluoromethoxyphenoxymethyl groups, using polymer analogous reactions, in order to investigate the effect of the side group on their liquid crystal (LC) alignment behaviors. The polymers containing 4-fluorophenoxymethyl, 4-methylphenoxymethyl, or 4-trifluoromethoxyphenoxymethyl side groups had lower surface energy values and the LC cells fabricated using the unrubbed films of these polymers showed homeotropic LC alignment behavior. The LC cells fabricated using the rubbed films of the polymers containing phenoxymethyl or 4-fluorophenoxymethyl groups showed homogeneous planar LC alignment behavior in which the LCs were aligned perpendicular to the rubbing direction. This homogeneous planar and perpendicular alignment behavior was ascribed to the favorable anisotropic interactions between the LC molecules and the side groups preferentially oriented perpendicular to the rubbing direction.

Synthesis of Fluorinated Polymer Gate Dielectric with Improved Wetting Property and Its Application to Organic Field-Effect Transistors

  • We report the fabrication of pentacene organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) using a fluorinated styrene-alt-maleic anhydride copolymer gate dielectric, which was prepared from styrene derivatives with a fluorinated side chain [$-CH_2-O-(CH_2)_2-(CF_2)_5CF_3$] and maleic anhydride through a solution polymerization technique. The fluorinated side chain was used to impart hydrophobicity to the surface of the gate dielectric and maleic anhydride was employed to improve its wetting properties. A field-effect mobility of 0.12 cm$^2$/Vs was obtained from the as-prepared top-contact pentacene FETs. Since various functional groups can be introduced into the copolymer due to the nature of maleic anhydride, its physical properties can be manipulated easily. Using this type of copolymer, the performance of organic FETs can be enhanced through optimization of the interfacial properties between the gate dielectric and organic semiconductor.

전사배향법을 이용한 씰의 액정배향의 효과 (Effect of Liquid Crystal alignment in the cell using transcription alignment method)

  • In this paper, the monodomain alignment of nematic liquid crystal(NLC) in the cell fabricated by one side transcription alignment method on PI surface with side chain were investigated. The LC alignment produced by the transcription alignment method is attributable to a memory effect of the NLC on Pl surfaces. We observed that the pretilt angle of NLC is generated about 3.6$^{\circ}$ in a cell with one side transcription alignment on PI surface. Also, the electro-optical(EO) performance of TN-LCD with one side transcription alignment method on PI surface will be discussed.

  • The oil in water type ME of 4 component system was composed with POE monoalkyl ether and POE sorbitan monoalkyl ester as surfactant, saturated hydrocarbon, side chain structure and aromatic structure as oil, and glycerine as cosurfactant using high pressure homogenizer. The objective of this study was to examine the role of surfactant and oil structure on droplet size and stability. The experimental results showed that the droplet size was smaller with bigger polarity of oil, less hydrocarbon, longer hydrophilic chain of surfactant and higher concentration of glycerine. SQ and LP systems showed very stable but AB and ISB system unstable microemulsion.
