Response surface methodology (RSM) is used to investigate the complex coupling effects of different operating parameters on silicon growth rate in planetary CVD reactor. Based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model, an accurate RSM model is obtained to predict the growth rate with different parameters, including temperature, pressure, rotation speed of the wafer, and the mole fraction of dichlorosilane (DCS). Analysis of variance is used to estimate the contributions of process parameters and their interactions. Among the four operating parameters that have been studied, the influences of susceptor temperature and the operating pressure were the most significant factors that affect silicon growth rate, followed by the mole fraction of DCS. The influence of wafer rotation is the least. The validation tests show that the results of silicon deposition rate obtained from the regression model are in good agreement with those from CFD model and the maximum deviations is 2.15%.
The 27Al multiple quantum magic angle spinning (MQMAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of mordenite zeolites were simulated using the point charge model (PCM). The spectra simulated by the PCM considering nearest neighbor atoms only (PCM-n) or including atoms up to the 3rd layer (PCM-m) were not different from those generated by the Hartree-Fock (HF) molecular orbital calculation method. In contrast to the HF and density functional theory methods, the PCM method is simple and convenient to use and does not require sophisticated and expensive computer programs along with specialists to run them. Thus, our results indicate that the spectral simulation of the 27Al MQMAS NMR spectra obtained with the PCM-n is useful, despite its simplicity, especially for porous samples like zeolites with large unit cells and a high volume density of pores. However, it should be pointed out that this conclusion might apply only for the atomic sites with small quadrupole coupling constants.

In this paper, micromachined millimeter-wave cavity resonators ar presented. One-port and two-port cavity resonators at Ka-band are designed using 3D design software, HP $HFSS^{TM}$ ver. 5.5 Cavity resonators are fabricated on Si substrate, which is etched down for the cavity, bonded with a Quartz wafer in which metal patterns for the feeding line coupling slot are formed. One-port resonator shows the resonant frequency of 39.34 GHz, the return loss of 14.5 dB, and the loaded $Q(Q_{L})$ of 150. Two-port cavity resonator shows the resonant frequency of 39 GHz, the insertion and return losses of 4.6dB and 19,9dB, the loaded($Q_{L}$) and unloaded $Q(Q_{U})$) of 44.3 and 107, respectively.
This study aims to compare six observational methods for assessing arm- and hand-intensive tasks, based on literature review. The comparison was conducted in viewpoints of body regions, force/external load, motion repetition, other factors including static posture, coupling, duration/break, pace, temperature, precision task, and final risk or exposure level. The number of risk factors assessed was more, and assessment procedure was more complex than the observational methods for assessing whole-body postural loads such as Ovako Working Posture Analysis System(OWAS), Rapid Upper Limb Assessment(RULA), and Rapid Entire Body Assessment(REBA). Due to these, the intra- and inter-reliabilities were not high. A past study showed that while Hand Arm Risk Assessment Method(HARM) identified the smallest proportion of the work tasks as high risk, Strain Index(SI) and Quick Exposure Check(QEC) hand/wrist were the most rigorous with classifying most work tasks as high risk. This study showed that depending on the observational technique compared, the evaluation factors, risk or exposure level, and evaluation results were different, making it necessary to select a technique appropriate for the characteristics of the work being assessed.

Two configurations of Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators with acoustic quater-wave bragg reflector layers are theoretically analyzed using equivalent circuits and the difference of their characteristics are discussed. We compare the characteristics of λ/2 mode to those of ideal FBAR with top and bottom electrode contacting air and the characteristics of λ/4 mode to those of ideal FBAR with top electrode contacting air and bottom electrode clamped. We assume that the piezoelectric film is ZnO, the electrode is A1 and the substrate is Si, ABCD parameters are extracted and input impedance is calculated by converting the equivalent circuit from Mason equivalent circuits to the simplified equivalent circuits that ABCD parameters are extracted possible, From the variation of resonance frequency due to the change of thickness of reflector layers and the variation of electrical Q due to the change of mechanical Q of reflector layers, it is confirmed that the reflector layer just under the bottom electrode have the greatest effect on the varation of resonance frequency and electrical Q. It is shown that the number of reflector layers required for the saturation of electrical Q decreases with the increase of the impedance ratio of reflector layers and electrical Q of λ/2 mode is larger than that of λ/4 mode, Electromechanical coupling factor is independent of the number of layers, The impedance ratio of reflector layers becomes larger as the electromechanical coupling factor becomes larger, The electromechanical coupling factor of the two mode are smaller than those of ideal FBARs because of the trapping of acoustic energy in the reflector layers, The insertion loss of the ladder filter decreases with the increase of the number of reflector layers but the bandwidth is not affected much by the number of reflector layers, As the impedance ratio of reflector layers becomes larger the insertion loss becomes smaller and the bandwidth becomes wider, In our analysis of the two mode, characteristics of λ/2 mode appear to be slightly more favorable than that of λ/4 mode

In this study, we performed surface modification of silica nanoparticles with bis[3-(triethoxysilylpropyl)]tetrasulfide (TESPT) silane coupling agent to study the effects of treatment temperature, treatment time, and amount of TESPT used on the silanization degree with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), elemental analysis (EA) and solid state $^{13}C$ and $^{29}Si$ cross-polarization magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). We found peak area of isolated silanol groups at $3747cm^{-1}$ decreased, but peak area of $-CH_2$ asymmetric stretching of TESPT at $2938cm^{-1}$ increased with the amount of TESPT from FTIR measurements. We also used universal testing machine (UTM) to study mechanical properties of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) nanocomposites with 20 phr (parts per hundred of rubber) of pristine and TESPT modified silicas, respectively. The tensile strength and 100% modulus of modified silica/SBR nanocomposite were enhanced from 5.65 to 9.38MPa, from 1.62 to 2.73 MPa, respectively, compared to those of pristine silica/SBR nanocomposite.
In this study, we modified silica nanoparticles with bis[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine (BTPED) silane coupling agent, which has two secondary amino groups in a molecule, to introduce amino groups on the silica surface. After modification of silica, we used acrylate group containing 3-(acryloyloxy)-2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate (AHM) to introduce polymerizable methacrylate groups by Michael addition reaction. We used Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), elemental analysis (EA) and liquid and solid state cross polarization magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) to understand the reactions between N-H groups of BTPED modified silica surface and acrylate groups of AHM monomer. We confirmed Michael addition reaction between BTPED modified silica and AHM completed in 2 hr reaction time. We also found increased methacrylate group introduction with increase of mol ratio of the acrylate group of AHM to N-H group of BTPED modified silica by increase of C=O peak area of measured FTIR spectra. These results were also supported by EA and solid state $^{13}C$ and $^{29}Si$ NMR results.
In this study, we performed surface modification of biodegradable microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) to use as a filler in polyethylene (PE) composite in food packaging application. We modified MCC surface with (3-trimethoxysilylpropyl)diethylenetriamine (TPDT) silane coupling agent, which has one primary amino group and two secondary amino groups per molecule, to introduce amino groups with a carbon dioxide adsorption capability in MCC. Effects of each of the reaction conditions such as amount of TPDT introduced, swelling time, reaction temperature, and reaction time on surface modification degree of MCC were investigated by changing a variety of above reaction conditions. The amount of TPDT grafted on MCC surface and formation of chemical bonds were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), elemental analysis (EA), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and solid state $^{29}Si$ nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. We confirmed increase of grafted amount of TPDT on MCC with increasing reaction time, reaction temperature, and amount of introduced TPDT.
MR characteristics in magnetic tunnel junction using CoO as the oxide barrier were investigated. Spin-dependent tunnel junctions were fabricated on 4$\^$o/ tilt-cut (111)Si substrates in 3-gun magnetron sputtering system. The top and bottom ferromagnetic electrodes were Ni$\_$80/Fe$\_$20/(300 $\AA$) and Co(300 $\AA$), respectively. The oxide barriers (CoO) were formed by the thermal oxidation at room temperature in an O$_2$ atmosphere and the plasma oxidation. The increase of coercive field due to antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic coupling has been observed in O$_2$plasma-oxidized CoO based junctions at room temperature. At a sensing current of 1 mA, MR ratios of O$_2$plasma-oxidized CoO based junction and thermal-oxidized CoO based junction at room temperature were 1% and 5%, respectively. Larger MR ratios are observed in magnetic tunnel juctions with thermal oxidized CoO when sensing current more than applied 1.5 mA. At a sensing current of 1.5 mA, we have observed MR value of 28 % and specific resistance (RA=R$\times$A) value of 10.9 ㏀$\times$㎛$^2$. When specific resistance values reached 2.28 ㏀$\times$㎛$^2$, we have observed that MR ratios become as high as 120%.

A 440MHz wireless and passive surface acoustic wave (SAW) based chemical sensor was developed on a $41^{\circ}YX\;LiNbO_3$ piezoelectric substrate for simultaneous measurement of $CO_2$ gas and relative humidity (RH) using a reflective delay line pattern as the sensor element. The reflective delay line is composed of an interdigital transducer (IDT) and several shorted grating reflectors. A Teflon AF 2400 and a hydrophilic $SiO_2$ layer were used as $CO_2$ and water vapor sensitive films. The coupling of mode (COM) modeling was conducted to determine optimal device parameters prior to fabrication. According to simulation results, the device was fabricated and then wirelessly measured using the network analyzer. The measured reflective coefficient $S_{11}$ in the time domain showed high signal/noise (S/N) ratio, small signal attenuation, and few spurious peaks. In the $CO_2$ and humidity testing, high sensitivity ($2^{\circ}/ppm$ for $CO_2$ detection and $7.45^{\circ}/%$RH for humidity sensing), good linearity and repeatability were observed in the $CO_2$ concentration ranges of $75{\sim}375ppm$ and humidity levels of $20{\sim}80%$RH. Temperature and humidity compensations were also investigated during the sensitivity evaluation process.
