특별한 경우에 대한 {{{{O($\mid$V$\mid$ + $\mid$E$\mid$)시간과 {{{{O($\mid$E$\mid$^2 + $\mid$E$\mid$$\mid$V$\mid$log$\mid$V$\mid$)시간 알고리즘을 보였으며 배낭 문제의 해결책과 유사한 그리디 휴리스틱(greedy heuristic) 알고리즘이 그물 구조(mesh) 그래프 상에서 좋은 결과를 보여주고 있음을 실험을 통해 확인해 보았다.Abstract This paper considers a graph-theoretic problem motivated by a telecommunication network optimization. When a private organization wishes to connect two sites by leasing physical lines from a public telecommunications network, it is often the cases that several categories of lines are available, at different costs. Typically a faster (low delay) lines costs more than a slower (high delay) line. However, low cost lines cannot be used exclusively because the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements often impose a bound on the end-to-end delay. Therefore, overlaying a path on the public network involves two diametrically opposing factors: cost and delay. The following variation of the standard shortest path problem is thus of interest: the shortest route between the two sites that meets a given bound on the end-to-end delay. For this problem we formulate a graph-theoretical problem that has both a shortest path component as well as coloring component. Interestingly, the problem could be formulated as a knapsack problem. We have shown that the general problem is NP-complete. The optimal polynomial-time algorithms for some special cases and one heuristic algorithm for the general problem are described.

  • In the definition of non additive path, the sum of travel costs of links making up the path is not equal to the path cost. There are a variety of cases that non-additivity assumption does not hold in transportation fields. Nonetheless, traffic equilibrium models are generally built up on the fundamental hypothesis of additivity assumption. In this case traffic equilibrium models are only applicable within restrictive conditions of the path cost being linear functions of link cost. Area-wide road pricing is known as an example of realistic transportation situations, which violates such additivity assumption. Because travel fare is charged at the moment of driver's passing by exit gate while identified at entry gate, it may not be added linearly proportional to link costs. This research proposes a novel Wordrop type of traffic equilibrium model in terms of area-wide road pricing schemes. It introduces binary indicator variable for the sake of transforming non-additive path cost to additive. Since conventional shortest path and Frank-Wolfe algorithm can be applied without route enumeration and network representation is not required, it can be recognized more generalized model compared to the pre-proposed approaches. Theoretical proofs and case studies are demonstrated.

  • In the worst maritime accidents, people should abandon ship, but ship structures are narrow and complex and operation takes place on rough seas, so escape is not easy. In particular, passengers on cruise ships are untrained and varied, making evacuation prospects worse. In such a case, the evacuation management of the crew plays a very important role. If a rescuer enters a ship at distress and conducts rescue activities, which zones represent the most effective entry should be examined. Generally, crew and rescuers take the shortest route, but if an accident occurs along the shortest route, it is necessary to select the second-best alternative. To solve this situation, this study aims to calculate evacuation routes using Q-Learning of Reinforcement Learning, which is a machine learning technique. Reinforcement learning is one of the most important functions of artificial intelligence and is currently used in many fields. Most evacuation analysis programs developed so far use the shortest path search method. For this reason, this study explored optimal paths using reinforcement learning. In the future, machine learning techniques will be applicable to various marine-related industries for such purposes as the selection of optimal routes for autonomous vessels and risk avoidance.

  • Dynamic routing uses routing protocols to select the best routes and to update the routing table. RP (Routing Information Protocol)using a distance-vector algorithm becomes generally known a routing protocol on the network. RIP selects the route with the lowest "hop count" (metric) as the best route. but RIP has a serious shortcoming. a mP router cannot maintain a complete routing table for a network that has destinations more than 15 hops away. To overcome this defect, It uses the OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) of link -state protocols developed for TCP/IP. It is suitable for very large networks and provides several advantages over RIP. This paper analyzes the traffic and the link efficiency between two protocols such as message delivery and delay, link utilization, message counts on the same network.e network.

  • Proposal algorithm in this thesis introduced cells, units of router group, for distributed processing of previous genetic algorithm. This thesis presented ways to reduce search delay time of overall network through cell-based genetic algorithm. With regard to procedures of proposal algorithm, duplicated agents were transferred to the point, where the second, third, and fourth cells were created in order, after the first cell was made, and the agents were engineered to search the shortest path to each cell, and then find the most efficient element through competition.

  • This paper presents a genetic algorithmic approach to shortest path (SP) routing problem. Variable-length chromosomes (strings) and their genes (parameters) have been used for encoding the problem. The crossover operation that exchanges partial chromosomes (partial-routes) at positionally independent crossing sites and the mutation operation maintain the genetic diversity of the population. The proposed algorithm can cure all the infeasible chromosomes with a simple repair function. Crossover and mutation together provide a search capability that results in improved quality of solution and enhanced rate of convergence. Computer simulations show that the proposed algorithm exhibits a much better quality of solution (route optimality) and a much higher rate of convergence than other algorithms. The results are relatively independent of problem types (network sizes and topologies) for almost all source-destination pairs.

  • Many routing algorithms, proposed for ad-hoc wireless networks, we based on source routing scheme and shortest path route has short lifetime especially in highly dense ad-hoc wireless networks. So some routing protocols such as SSA and ABR are considering the link stability and try finding more stable route. In this paper we propose a new routing algorithm considering utilization metric based on SSA routing algerian in Ad-Hoc networks. To reduce the bottleneck by specific metric of SSA, proposed scheme makes load balancing in networks by distributing the connections to several routes. For the evaluation of the performance we compare our scheme with existent routing protocol AODV and SSA. And the results, obtained using the ns-2 network simulation platform, show good performance that reduced the number of reconstructions remarkably by distributing the whole traffic to several routes when there are several stable routes.

  • Routing security is related to the confidentiality of the route taken by the data transmitted over the network. If the route is detected by the adversary, the probability is higher that the data are lost or the data can be intercepted by the adversary. Therefore, the route must be protected. To accomplish this, we select an intermediate node secretly and transmit the data using this intermediate node, instead of sending the data to the destination node using the shortest path. Furthermore, if we use a number of secret routes from the starting node to the destination node, data security is much stronger since we can transmit partial data rather than the entire data along a secret route. In this paper, the routing algorithm for multiple secret paths on MRNS(Mixed Radix Number System) Network, which requires O(1) for the time complexity where is the number of links on a node, is presented employing the HCLS(Hamiltonian Circuit Latin Square) and is analyzed in terms of entropy.

  • As the applied fields of GIS are expanded to the transportation, developing internet-based applications for transportation information is getting attention increasingly. Most applications developed so far are primarily focused on guidance systems for owner-driven cars. Although some recent ones are devoted to public transportation systems, they show limitations in dealing with the following aspects: (i) people may change transportation means not only within the same type but also among different modes such as between buses and subways, and (ii) the system should take into account the time taken in transfer from one mode to the other. This study suggest the framework for developing a public transportation guidance system that generates optimized paths in the transportation network of mixed means including buses, subways and other modes. For this study, the Genetic Algorithms are used to find the best routes that take into account transfer time and other service-time constraints.

  • In this paper we apply routing algorithms in circuit switched networks to B-ISDN networks and investigate the performance. B-ISDN supports a wide range of services with hetrogeneous bandwidth requirements. We assume that the network supports D classes of traffic. It is modeled as a finite D dimensional Markov chain. A call is blocked on arrival if the required bandwidth is not available on the route. The shortest path routing, alternate routing and trunk reservation are considered for performance comparison. We also consider trunk reservation with restricted access control where the network reserves certain amount of bandwidths for one class of traffic that assumes a higher transmission priority. Through the method of successive iterations, we obtain the steady state equilibrium probabilities and call blocking probabilities for dynamic routing. The results can be used to design a B-ISDN network that improves network connection availability and efficiency while simultaneously reducing the network costs.
