There nay be collisions among beacons from several full function devices in IEEE 802.15.4 sensor networks. These collision of beacons may cause devices to lose time synchronization, and thus be unable to association. To solve this problem, the IEEE 802.15.4b defines a new Post Beacon Period(PBP), but it does not still alleviate the beacon collision problem. In this paper, we propose two automatic beacon alignment schemes that a node itself can decide its beacon start time using its short address that has been assigned during association. We also simulate and investigate our proposed automatic beacon collision avoidance schemes using NS-2 simulator.
We propose a new address-while-display (AWD) driving method to obtain a high contrast ratio and a wide driving margin which is composed of a short ramp reset period, a sustain period and an address period as the basic unit. The short ramp reset (SRR) pulse made it possible to assure the wide operating voltage margin and minimize the background luminance by redistributing the wall charges between address and scan electrode. As a result, a high dark room contrast ratio of 10000 to 1 could be obtained with a wide operating voltage margin of 40V for stable address.

This paper deals with a web-based public address system for conveying information for different institutions. An architecture for a Short Messaging Service (SMS) based public address (PA) system that can be programmed by an authorized mobile phone or device is proposed. This PA system will facilitate information transfer from heads of offices, managers, directors, and deans of the institutions to its constituents or unit area as well as enable postings of information with proper authentication and validation remotely. The system supports high priority messaging, allowing the conveyance of critical and time sensitive information. The mobility management support for the PA system will be based on the Hierarchical Mobile Internet Protocol version 6 (HMIPv6), hence, allowing for a seamless connectivity to the system. The major advantage of this proposed PA system as compared with the traditional electronic displays and bulletin boards is seamless mobility wherein the display devices can be programmed remotely by heads of the institutions and business organization. It also allows faster communication and immediate actions concerning the different institutions, organizations, and businesses, thus, ensuring high productivity.
The positive column discharge characteristics in the long gap (440 ${\mu}m$) are investigated based on the voltage distribution among three electrodes. In particular, the effects of the amplitude and width of the short pulse applied to the address electrode on the positive column discharge characteristics are examined intensively. By proper controlling of the amplitude and width of the address short pulse, it is found that the positive column discharge in the long gap is well constructed. As a result, under the stable static voltage margin condition, the firing and sustaining voltages are as low as those of conventional short gap(60 ${\mu}m$) discharge($V _f=220V$, $V_s=150V$) and the color purity is improved. Moreover, the luminous efficiency increases up to 60% in comparison with the conventional case.

We introduce two distributed IP address auto-configuration mechanisms for mobile ad hoc networks. RADA (Random ADdress Allocation) is based on random IP address selection, while LiA (Linear Address Allocation) assigns new addresses sequentially, using the current maximum IP address. An improved version of LiA, hewn as LiACR (Linear Address Allocation with Collision Resolution) further reduces the control overhead. Simulation results show that, when many nodes join a network during a short period, RADA assigns addresses more quickly than LiA and LiACR. However, RADA uses the address space less efficiently, due to its random allocation of IP addresses. Hence, RADA is particularly useful in battlefield scenarios or rescue operations where fast setup is needed, while LiA and LiACR are more suitable for ad hoc networks that are moderate, confined and subject to some form of governance control, such as that orchestrated by a wireless service provider.
This paper aims at researching on the substantial characters of the memorial address, namely the mookseo-myeongs(墨書銘), written at the members of the wooden buildings in the late period of Goryeo Dynasty and the early period of JoseonDynasty. In this paper, I pursued to declare the systematic origins by the comparison the Buddhist buildings with the other buildings, on the focused the written patterns. Furthermore, I tried to examine the transitional trends in the late period of Joseon Dynasty. The results are as follow: First, it is supposed that the mookseo-myeongs of the Buddhist buildings were not used for the a memorial address for the ceremony of putting up the ridge beam, so to speak the sangryang-muns(上樑文), but the prayer address(發願文) to memorize the donations of the believers for the constructions. Second, it is supposed that 'the short sangryang-muns' were originated in the mookseo-myeongs of Buddhist buildings and the other ancient prayer address. In the late period of JoseonDynasty, those were established in the formal literary styles. Third, to the early period of JoseonDynasty, 'the long sangryang-muns' were partially used in the several royal palaces. In the late, those were widely used not only in the royal palaces but also in Buddhist buildings, but those literary patterns were rarely changed from the former types.

The effects of an auxiliary address pulse driving scheme, in which an auxiliary short pulse was applied to the address electrode during a sustain-period, was examined under the various image patterns of the 42-inch WVGA ac-PDP. When the auxiliary address pulse driving scheme was applied, the luminance of the red, green and blue cells were measured respectively. The luminance, luminous efficiency and current were measured under the full-white pattern of the 42-inch ac-PDP. As a result, the luminance of blue cell was improved approximately by 17 %, whereas the luminous efficiency of the full-white pattern was improved approximately by 34 % without a misfiring discharge in comparison with conventional driving scheme.

In this paper, we proposed an efficient short address allocation mechanism for WiBEEM devices using NAA(Next Address Available) algorithm. The proposed addressing mechanism is based upon the NAA information that is delivered over the beacons every time it is transmitted at the beginning of each super-frame. The NAA-based addressing mechanism is not a systematic way of allocating short addresses to newly joining devices and thus tree-routing cannot be supported. However, it has great advantages when U-City core services including U-Parking Lot System or ATIS(Advanced Traveler Information System) services that require high-speed mobility are considered. Moreover, the proposed addressing mechanism can provide significant expandability of the wireless network to various applications and fast device discovery.
Even though there were no clear definitions of the short game and short game distance, short game capability is crucial for a good golf score. Generally, chip shot and pitch shot are regarded as two principal components of the short game. Chip shot is a short, low trajectory shot played to the green or from trouble back into play. Pitch shot is a high trajectory shot of short length. Biomechanical studies were conducted usually to analyze full swing and putting motions. The purpose of the study was to reveal the kinematical differences between professional golfers' 30 yard $53^{\circ}wedge$ chip shot and $56^{\circ}wedge$ pitch shot motions. Fifteen male professional golfers were recruited for the study. Kinematical data were collected by the 60 Hz three-dimensional motion analysis system. Statistical comparisons were made by paired t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan of the SPSS 12.0K with the $\alpha$ value of .05. Results show that both the left hand and the ball were placed left of the center of the left and right foot at address. The left hand position of the chip shot was significantly left side of that of the pitch shot. But the ball position of the pitch shot was significantly right side of that of the chip shot. All body segments aligned to the left of the target line, open, at address. Except shoulder, there were no significant pelvis, knee, and feet alignment differences between chip shot and pitch shot. These differences at address seem for the ball height control. Pitch shot swing motions(the shoulder and pelvis rotation and the club head travel distance) were significantly bigger than those of the chip shot. Club head velocity of the pitch shot was significantly faster than that of the chip shot at the moment of impact. This was for the same shot length control with different lofted clubs. Swing motion differences seem mainly caused by the same shot length control with different ball height control.
