What Drives Mobile Commerce? Determinants of Behavioral intents to Adopt m-Commerce

  • This study aimed at investigating the features of m-commerce (mobility, perceived enjoyment, perceived personalization, and habit) that influence consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. To this end, it theorized on and examined the effects of the features of m-commerce that influence consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. The results showed that the most critical drives of m-commerce in mobile shopping are mobility, perceived personalization, and habit. And also we found that habit weakens (moderates) the effects of mobility on the consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. Habit has direct effects on the consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping, and these effects are moderated by individual habit.

A Study on the Factors Affecting Mobile Commerce User' Post-Adoptive Behavior (모바일 커머스 수용 후 행동에 관한 연구)

  • The spread of mobile commerce due to popularization of smartphones not only broke down the boundary between online and offline, but also changed the consumer life, and hence brought change of commerce paradigm that creates new demand. The success of innovative information technology such as mobile shopping can be defined as an individual accepting the technology and continuously using it, but the studies on the usage behavior after the acceptance have been done in very restrictively, despite its importance. In this study, in order to empirically investigate the factors that influence the continuance in mobile shopping usage experience and its causal relationship, Social Cognitive Theory and Habit Theory were applied to IS Continuance Model, and the extended IS Continuance Model was suggested and proved. As a result, the usefulness, enjoyment, and self-efficacy perceived in usage experience significantly influence satisfaction, and usefulness, self-efficacy, and satisfaction influence habit. Also, usefulness, self-efficacy, satisfaction, and habit significantly influence continuance intention. This study provides a valuable asset in providing an opportunity to understand the usage behavior of mobile shopping service users after the acceptance, and furthermore proving directionality in improving customer loyalty.

Study on Chinese Repurchase Intention of Group-buying Social Commerce:The Moderating Role of Shopping Habit (공동구매형 소셜커머스에 대한 중국 소비자의 재구매 의도에 관한 연구:쇼핑습관을 조절변수로)

  • This is a study to examine the factors that affect group-buying social commerce users' repurchase intention. In order to verify research hypotheses, this paper collected data from 396 users who currently use the group-buying social commerce in China. We used the AMOS 22.0 analysis. The results show that value, trust and satisfaction are the strong predictors of repurchase intention. And Information quality, System quality and Service quality are the significant antecedents of value, trust and satisfaction. Finally, perceived value exerts stronger effect on repurchase intention for high-shopping habit customers, where as trust and satisfaction have higher influence on repurchase intention for low-shopping habit customers. Implications and limitations are discussed.

A Study on Usage of Internet Shopping Mall and Purchasing Tendency of Female College Students (전문대 여대생의 인터넷쇼핑몰 이용과 구매성향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aimed to provide the basic data on consumers' purchasing tendency required to start and operate online shopping malls on internet. The survey selected the female college students from 19 to 24 years old majoring fabric and fashion design in colleges in Gyeonggi-do. Total 283 questionnaires were selected for statistical analysis. The analysis results are presented below. The first online shopping was during the middle school times showing the highest responses as 63.54%, followed by high school times, college times and elementary school times in that sequence. Most female college students(97.88%) purchased goods from online shopping malls. The purposes of search in online shopping malls were 'need to purchase goods(47.18%)', 'habit/hobbies(27.57%)', 'need to collect data on goods(20.27%)' and 'to relieve stresses(4.98%)'. About 50% of respondents selected 'I visit mainly several online shopping malls. If there is no goods that I try to find, I search other sites and purchase what I want to buy(46.57%).' For the goods purchased from online shopping malls, everyday wears showed the highest ratio, 85.92%. About the time to purchase goods related to trends, most respondents selected 'purchase whenever it is necessary without respect to trends(87%).' Main considerations when the respondents purchased the goods from online shopping malls were 'design(64.98%)', 'price(18.41%)', 'quality(11.20%)', 'company recognition(2.53%)', 'color(1.44%)', and 'materials (1.44%)' in that sequence. 64.62% of respondents had the experience of returning goods after purchasing from online shopping malls. The reason why the respondents returned goods after purchasing from online shopping malls was mainly 'because of size(52.17%)', the response with the highest ratio. 42.24% responded that they experienced damage by washing the goods purchased from online shopping malls. It was found that the respondents didn't think about the country of manufacturing when purchasing goods from online shopping malls.

The classification of super app consumer for marketplace strategy - Focusing on the shopping orientations - (Super app marketplace 전략을 위한 소비자 유형화 - 쇼핑 성향을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to categorize consumers using super app functional characteristics to identify demographic differences, and analyze shopping orientations by consumer type. This data can be used by fashion and beauty companies for product planning and marketing strategies. To categorize super app consumers, data were analyzed with SPSS v.26.0 software using frequency, factor, reliability K-mean cluster, and distributed analyses, one-way-ANOVAs, and Scheffe verification. Cross-analysis was conducted to correlate super app consumer types with demographic characteristics. One-way-ANOVAs and Scheffe verification were used to analyze the differences in shopping preferences between super app consumer groups. As a result of our analyses, super app consumers were classified into four types: the ration type, the low-use type, the multifunction type, and the habit type. There were statistically significant differences between these types in age, occupation, marital status, average monthly household income, and shopping impact factors. Five super app user shopping orientations were identified: brand pursuit, pleasure pursuit, trend pursuit, risk perception, and economic orientation. The differences in the preferred orientation between super app consumer types were found to be statistically significant. The majority of respondents were multifunction type consumers. This group used the super app most frequently and effectively. They also demonstrated the highest scores for all five of the shopping orientations. The classification of consumer types in this study will allow the fashion and beauty industries to utilize super apps for more targeted product design and marketing.

A Qualitative Research on Clothing Habit of Women in Multicultural Families (다문화가정 여성의 의생활착의습관에 관한 질적 연구)

  • This qualitative research on women in multi-cultural families aims to analyze their clothing weight, habit, management and purchasing of clothing as well as their children's in order to provide fundamental data or literature for their adjustment in Korean clothing culture and health management. The research was conducted by interviews to eleven married foreign women with nationality of various climates, and subsequently by categorical analysis and subject analysis. The final outcome in terms of subjects included 'heating/cooling system as to environmental temperature', 'scope of climate adaptation differences in the amount of clothing', 'sleepwear and bedding' and 'clothing purchasing behaviour'. The empirical survey showed that those who came from colder regions or warmer regions had difficulties adjusting to the climate. And their clothing weight & clothing habits, originated from their home countries, were found to be kept stable and to be systematically transferred to their children as well. When it comes to sleepwear and bedding, the women seemed to be less interested in them than normal outerwear, but they tended to like to cover the belly of their babies while they didn't have sufficient nightwear for themselves. And shopping and management of clothing were another area with differences between those women and Korean ones. These results imply that further research on the multicultural families, in particular on their clothing behavior, and on changeability of the behaviour through education or through evolution is needed.

The other consumers who prefer to the discount store's merchandises, had also high propensity and the biggest influence on buying something which were those factors; their instance shopping habit, utility-economy trait, follow the fashion character and strong circumspection tendency besides using the mass media Info., personal data and commodities' attribute.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics for pattern by making a sort of various store choice behaviors and analysing impact both direct and indirect, which is based on the presentation of the influence of clothing store choice behavior into the causal relationship per store type against clothing shopping orientation, information search activity and store image attribution. Gender Differences in Continuance Intention of On-line Shopping Services

  • Given the extensive role of IS in everyday life and the increasing presence of women in IS users, understanding gender differences in individual technology continuance usage decisions is an important issue. Nevertheless, much of the large body of research on gender differences has just examined mean differences between women and men in terms of abilities, usage habit, and traits. Even though lots of psychology studies have shown that women, more than men, were influenced by affective factors, gender-affection-continuance use linkage has not been examined in the context of on-line shopping services. Therefore, the primary purpose of this paper is to seek to examine gender differences in terms of influence of affective factor in the context of IS continuance use. Meanwhile, IS continuance has been an important subject of study in the IT research area. To date, to explain why and how users are motivated to continue to use on-line shopping services, lots of theory-based research such as expectation-confirmation model (ECM) has been proposed. In particular, various affective factors have been proposed to explain continuance use of on-line shopping services recently. Affective factors have been regarded as essential factors for increasing relational strength and satisfaction. Several affective factors have been studied by prior IS adoption and continuance studies. Among them are enjoyment and anxiety. In IS continuance research, positive affect has been commonly and narrowly conceptualized and measured as the enjoyment which a person derives from using computers. Hence, in this study, we introduced intimacy factor, which was conceptually related to the quality of interactions and relationships in previous research. It also has been regarded as essential factors for strengthening human relationships. As a result, we have observed gender effect while examining intimacy-continuance bond. As expected based on the previous literatures, women seem to be more sensitive in affective factors. The contribution point here is that we find evidence in the context of on-line shopping services.

  • This study was researched by practical method in a subjectivity study accessible in-depth, in sloughing off old habit of functional quantity analysis about product-selectivity on role of Home-shopping TV MD. The perception pattern come out in this study were divided into four types in Q-methodology. The result is as follows ; it is that divided '1[(N=9) : No-relationship Type], 2[(N=3) : Experience-oriented Type], 3[(N=5) : Ability-focus Type], 4[(N=1) : Drive-importance Type]'. Like this, it found that is very different type all over. In conclusion, this study is to ascertain acceptance behavior about Reception Type on product-selectivity on role of Home-shopping TV MD ; to offer a developmental suggestion about it.
