A study on the actual precision shooting training based on virtual reality (가상현실 기반 실전적 정밀사격훈련 구현 연구)

  • The rapid growth of virtual reality technology in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution has accelerated scientification of combat training systems in addition to ICT(information and communications technology) in military field. Recently, research and development of simulators based on virtual reality have been actively conducted in order to solve sensitive issues such as increase of civil complaints due to the noise of a shooting range, prevention of shooting accident, and reduction of training cost. In this paper, we propose two key solutions: spatial synchronization method and modified point mass trajectory model with small angle approximation to overcome technical limitations of a current training simulator. A trainee who wears a haptic vest in a mixed reality environment built in MARS(medium-range assault rifle shooting simulator) is able to conduct not only precision shooting but also two-way engagement with virtual opponents. It is possible for trainee to receive more reliable evaluations in the MARS than an existing rifle simulator based on laser.

  • With the current surge in leisure sports activities involving firearms and the costly shooting practices in the military, there's a growing interest in using virtual reality as a cost-effective alternative. This study proposes a system that addresses the drawbacks of existing shooting practice setups, such as dim spaces and high installation costs, by making it feasible on large display screens. The system integrates IR receivers and guns for practice, ensuring usability and efficiency through an application. Additionally, an accuracy adjustment feature enhances precise coordination recognition. As a result, this cyber light gun system offers an affordable solution for outdoor training.

  • A finger-gesture game controller using the single camera is implemented in this paper, which is based on the recognition of the number of fingers and the index finger moving direction. Proposed method uses the CAMShift algorithm to trace the end-point of index finger effectively. The number of finger is recognized by using a double circle tracing method. Then, HSI color mode transformation is performed for the CAMShift algorithm, and YCbCr color model is used in the double circle tracing method. Also, all processing tasks are implemented by using the Intel OpenCV library and C++ language. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we developed a shooting game simulator and validated the proposed method. The proposed method showed the average recognition ratio of more than 90% for each of the game command-mode.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a virtual CG - based image production system for a simulator camera. The video production system proposed in this study is designed to synchronize the virtual camera of the graphic tool with the simulator camera at the shooting site and the CG application image editing, And can be easily and easily performed through a graphic tool by being controlled virtually through a control interface. Blaze Knights, an animation created by Dongseo University, was used to illustrate the superiority of the research results by comparing the progress and the amount of work before and after the application of the system. According to the results of the research, the CG artist's work efficiency is increased, while the physical constraint is minimized when the scene of the CG application image is minimized. It is possible to produce various scenes and minimize the re- We expect the contribution to the industry to be high.

  • 향후 개발되어질 Digital Power IED (Protection & Measuring, Control, Supervision etc.) 에서 제작된 H/W 및 Simulation용 Target Board 의 Firmware Process Flow 지침으로서 개발 경험을 바탕으로 보다 안정적이고 효율적인 Programming 을 가능하게 하고, 실시간 연산 Process 의 기준 확립 및 이해를 통한, 개선 아이디어 도출 및 수정 필요시 빠른 Trouble-Shooting 능력을 배양할 수 있다. 새로운 Process 아이디어의 Simulation 적용 및 확인으로 호환성과 안정성에 기반하는 F/W Optimization을 항상 유지 관리할 수 있으며, Measuring Element (전압, 전류, 전력, 주파수 등), Protection Element (OC, OCG, OV, OVG, UV, UC, DOC 등) 의 기준을 정함으로서 새로운 개발자에게는 개발 실무를 위한 교육 자료로 이용하고, 기존 개발자들에게는 안정된 F/W 모듈을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 개발 시간을 단축하고, 다양한 진보 Process 접근을 원활히 할 수 있는 F/W 및 S/W 시뮬레이터를 제시한다.
