선박충돌 위기상황에서 선박운항자가 지각한 충돌위험도 분석 (Analysis of Collision Risk Perceived by Ship Operators in Ship Collision Risk Situation)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to present the basic guidelines for preventing human error by measuring and analyzing the risk of collision perceived by the ship operator in the collision risk situation by using Korea Coast Guard patrol ships. Background: In the last 5 years, 97.5% of the causes of ship collision occurred at the sea was caused by human factors. However, the rate of marine accidents due to human error has not been reduced yet. Experiments and researches on the ship operators using the ships in actual operation are rarely performed. Method: Using two K.C.G Ships on the sea, the ship measured by 30 persons who are the subject of the ship (ship operator) when both ships approach and the relative distance gradually decreases in four encounter situations, perceived ship collision risk (PSCR) data were analyzed by statistical analysis. Results: The age and boarding career of the ship operator in the situation of ship collision risks encountered a negative impact on perceived collision risk in all four opposing encounter situations S1 ($000^{\circ}$), S2 ($045^{\circ}$), S3 ($090^{\circ}$) and S4 ($135^{\circ}$) respectively. That is, the higher the age of the ship operator, the lower the perceived risk of collision and the lower the age, the higher the risk of collision. Also, there was a difference between the average of group A (20~30 years) and group B (40~50 years) according to age of the ship operators at $000^{\circ}$, $045^{\circ}$ and $090^{\circ}$ and there was no difference at $135^{\circ}$. The mean difference of the experience of boarding career was also significantly different between group A (less than 4 years) and group B (more than 5 years), but there was no significant difference at $135^{\circ}$. Conclusion: The results showed that age and boarding career of the ship operators had negative impact on perceived collision risk and there was a difference in perceived risk of collision according to age and abundance of boarding career. As a result, by focusing on the ship operators who are in the age group of 20~30 years old and have less than 4 years of experience in boarding the ship. It is expected that the effect of prevention of marine accidents can be expected by avoiding collision avoidance. Application: The results of this study can be used as policy data of related organizations to prevent human error of ship operators and as training data of training institutes.

  • The safety of the ship manoeuver is dependent not only on the inherent characteristics of the ship itself and environmental conditions, but also on the skill and experience of the ship operator. As the ship operator's judgement is related to his experience and skill, based on outside information, piloted controllability also depends upon the effectiveness, accuracy and reliability of various information which is obtainable from navigational equipments and aids to navigation that are available to the ship ope-rator. Although these factors, human factors and informational factors, have been pointed out as major factors which affect the controllability of a ship, there was no a comprehensive examination on the effect of these two factors. In this thesis, therefore, an attempt was made to examine whether or not there is clear indication that these two factors affect the controllability of a ship in reality. Experiments were conducted using the port design simulator of the Korea Maritime University.

  • 우리나라 항만은 선박의 입 출항 척수 증가와 대형화로 항내 통항 선박간의 혼잡상황이 더욱 증가하고 있다. 해상교통혼잡 여부를 평가하기 위한 지표를 해상교통혼잡도라 하며, 해사안전법의 해상교통안전진단제도에서 진단항목으로 사용 중이다. 진단제도에서는 점용 용역을 8L(장직경)X3.2L(단직경)을 사용하고 있다. 본 연구는 관제사 및 선박운항자의 안전거리를 확인하기 위하여 우리나라 항구 중 가장 많은 선박이 입 출항하는 부산항을 대상으로 하여 7일간 VTS의 교신을 청취하고 관제사와 선박운항자의 교신시점을 구한다. 교신시점의 거리를 이용하여 관제사와 선박운항자의 안전거리를 도출한다. 도출된 안전거리를 이용하여 부산항내와 항외의 관제 안전거리의 기본자료로 이용할 수 있다.

A study of an Architecture of Digital Twin Ship with Mixed Reality

  • As the 4th industrial revolution progresses, the application of several cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and mixed reality (MR) in relation to autonomous ships is being considered in the maritime logistics field. The aim of this study was to apply the concept of a digital twin model based on Human Machine Interaction (HMI) including a digital twin model and the role of an operator to a ship. The role of the digital twin is divided into information provision, support, decision, and implementation. The role of the operator is divided into operation, decision-making, supervision, and standby. The system constituting the ship was investigated. The digital twin system that could be applied to the ship was also investigated. The cloud-based digital twin system architecture that could apply investigated applications was divided into ship data collection (part 1), cloud system (part 2), analysis system/ application (part 3), and MR/mobile system (part 4). A Mixed Reality device HoloLens was used as an HMI equipment to perform a simulation test of a digital twin system of an 8 m battery-based electric propulsion ship.

선박운항일정계획 문제의 유전해법 (A Genetic Algorithm for the Ship Scheduling Problem)

  • This paper treats a genetic algorithm for ship scheduling problem in set packing formulation. We newly devised a partition based representation of solution and compose initial population using a domain knowledge of problem which results in saving calculation cost. We established replacement strategy which makes each individual not to degenerate during evolutionary process and applied adaptive mutate operator to improve feasibility of individual. If offspring is feasible then an improve operator is applied to increase objective value without loss of feasibility. A computational experiment was carried out with real data and showed a useful result for a large size real world problem.

  • With digitalization accelerated by the 4th industrial revolution, the marine traffic environment is also expected to change rapidly. The purpose of this study was to derive a new service for Aids to Navigation (AtoN) to respond to a new marine traffic environment and suggest service requirements from the perspective of the ship's operator. For this purpose, a survey of ship operators was conducted and IPA analysis was performed. Marine traffic intelligence and information services and Image-based ocean environment information services were deduced as high-priority services from the perspective of ship operators. Thus, the derived results can serve as basic data for developing new AtoN services and determining policy directions.

레이더 상 불특정 선박의 자동식별 알고리즘 (Automatic Recognition Algorithm of Unknown Ships on Radar)

  • 해상 안전을 위한 선박의 탐색 및 식별은 매우 중요하다. 선박의 탐색은 레이더로 가능하나, 식별은 선박자동식별장치, 통신장비, 시각 등에 의해 이루어지며, 이러한 식별수단이 불능 시 레이더 운용자의 경험과 지식을 바탕으로 선박의 기동특성을 참고하여 식별하는 매우 어려운 경우가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 지속적인 관찰임무를 수행해야 할 선박 탐색요원의 임무를 보조하기 위하여 레이더 상 선박의 기동특성을 이용, 자동식별 및 사고발생 가능성을 탐지하는 방법을 제안한다. 4가지 유형의 선박 정보, 레이더 상 접촉거리 및 침로, 속력을 이용하여 그 특징을 추출하고, SVM을 활용하여 식별 정확도를 평가하였으며, 이를 이용한 자동식별 알고리즘을 통해 사고발생 가능성이 있는 선박을 선별하는 방법을 제시하였다. 실험 결과 90% 이상의 식별 정확도를 보였으며, 실제 사고선박인 세월호의 정보를 자동식별 알고리즘에 적용하여 선별 가능함을 보였다. 이 방법은 다양한 상황에서 선박 탐색요원의 경험과 지식을 효과적으로 보완하고, 다수의 선박 중 관심필요선박을 사전 식별하여 정보를 제공함으로서 탐색요원의 노력을 경감시키고, 문제점을 보다 빨리 인지하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

리니어 엔코더를 이용한 선박 엔진용 무선 크랭크 샤프트 디플렉션 검사 장치 개발 (Development of Wireless Device for Inspecting Crankshaft Deflection Using Linear Encoder)

  • A ship engine operator should compensate the crankshaft assembly of ship engine after inspecting crankshaft deflection error in the crank throw regularly to avoid engine vibration and abrasions. In the previous method, the operator enters the bed plate and measures crankshaft deflection using dial gauge on rotating crankshaft manually. However, this method can cause dangerous situation to the operator as well as uncomfortable in an inferior environment. In order to solve the problems, this paper studies the method which makes the operator measure the error outside of the bed plate. In this paper, it is suggested that BlueTooth wireless communication transfers the error data to the outer standing operator with digitalized crankshaft deflection inspection device developed in this paper. So, the wireless measurement system is developed and applied to a medium-speed marine engine through size-miniaturization. After applying test, the developed inspection device showed that it provides much safe and ease inspection method. Furthermore, in the result, the measuring accuracy is more improved.

자율운항선박 친숙화 교육 개발을 위한 기초연구

  • As the structure and operation method of MASS(Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship) are discussed accroding to the IMO degree, the interest and necessity for remote operators who manage and supervise the operation of MASS are increasing gradually. The form of MASS operation is clearly accompanied by various changes including new technologies and equipment in comparison with the current operation of ship. In IMO Degree 2 and 3, the capabilities that remote operators who will operate them must differ from those of existing seafarers(navigation officers, engineers and ratings). Regarding this remote operation, the NI(Nautical Institute) is the first in the world to present a syllabus and a curriculum of qualification for remote operator. Based on this, the paper introduces and compares the education model of MASS remote control operation and NI model, and further uses it as basic data for the creation of curriculum for future MASS remote operator.

골든타임 확보를 위한 선박 대피항로 선정 시 고려사항에 관한 연구 - 선박운항자 관점에서 - (A Study on Considerations of Ship Evacuation Route for Goldentime - Based on Ship Operators Perspective -)

  • 사고에서 인명을 구조할 수 있는 시간인 골든타임의 중요성은 날로 커져가고 있다. 특히 해양사고의 경우 발생 위치에 따라 구조세력이 도착하는 데는 수시간이 걸릴 수 있으므로 이에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 본 논문은 해상에서 긴급상황이 발생하여 대피항로를 선정 시, 선박운항자 관점의 우선 고려사항을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 선행연구와 해양사고 재결서 및 국내선사의 비상대응 매뉴얼 분석을 통하여 선박 대피시의 고려사항을 식별하고 선박운항자를 대상으로 AHP 분석(의사결정계층 분석)을 실시하였다. AHP 분석 결과 선박운항자는 인명의 안전을 선박의 안전보다 약 6배 중요하게 생각하며, 대피항로를 선정하기 위해서는 주변의 해경함정에 도움요청, 피난항 위치, 비상투묘, 주변선박 도움요청, 표류, 임의좌주 순으로 고려하는 것으로 나타났다. 우선순위를 이용해서 긴급상황 발생 시 공황 상태의 선교에 선박운항자의 의사결정을 도울 수 있는 기초 정보자료로 제공할 수 있다.
