비대선형의 조종 유체력 미계수 및 간섭 계수에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Manoeuvring Hydrodynamic Derivatives and Interaction Coefficients of Full Form Ship)

  • In marine transportation of bulk cargoes such as crude oil. ore, coal etc., a lot of full form ship which have poor manoeuvrability were presented in many countries. Since ship manoeuvrability depends upon many parameters namely hydrodynamic derivatives, interference factors etc., as external forces, it is of great importance that we investigate these values of parameters on analysis of manoeuvrability. In this paper, we investigated and analyzed interaction coefficients among hull-propeller-rudder for a full form ship by captive model test in circulating water channel, and then compared with experimental results by PMM test. A tanker model ship which has 0.83 as block coefficient and MMG mathematical models were used in this experiment. Almost same tendencies were found in qualitative analysis, even though more serial experiments were demanded in quantitative analysis.

A Study on the Resistance and Wake Characteristics of a Full Ship Series

  • A series of towing tank tests were carried out for 18 full ship models of high block coefficients. The resistance coefficients and wake distribution at the propeller plane were measured and carefully examined. Regression analysis was employed to find out the relationships with the hull form parameters. Equations for wave resistance coefficient, form factor, and nominal wake are given. A harmonic analysis of measured wake was performed to look into the influence of the local stern shape on the magnitude of fluctuating wake components at three different radii. The amplitude of wake harmonics was also expressed by regression quations. It was found that the regression formulas were very useful in estimating resistance and circumferential wake characteristics of full ship models. It was also considered that the formulas presented in this paper could be utilized in the hull form improvement in a preliminary design.

통계해석에 의한 저항 추정 및 선형 개량 (Estimation of Ship Resistance by Statistical Analysis and its Application to Hull Form Modification)

  • 본 논문은 선박저항 추정을 위한 통계해석 방법을 기술하고 있다. 조파저항계수 추정식은 조파저항이론을 이용하여 선체주요치수와 횡단면적계수들로부터 유도하였으며, 그 회귀계수들은 저항시험 결과들을 회귀 분석하여 얻었다. 형상영향계수 추정식은 선체주요지수, 횡단면적와 저항시험결과들로부터 순수하게 회귀분석하여 얻었다. 또한 선체주요지수는 바꾸지 않고 횡단면적곡선만을 변화시켜 조파저항을 최소로 해주는 방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법들은 산적화물선의 저항성능 추정에 적용하였다. 그리고 조파저항이 최소가 되는 수정선형을 도출해 냈으며, 이로인한 유효동력의 절감효과를 저항시험을 통해 확인하였다.

확정론적 기법 및 확률론적 기법을 적용한 선박 초기 설계 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preliminary Ship Design Method using Deterministic Approach and Probabilistic Approach)

  • The paper describes the preliminary ship design method using deterministic approach and probabilistic approach. In deterministic approach, there are computational aspects to applying not only the integration concurrently of principal dimension decisions and hull form variations but also hydrostatic coefficients that applied to optimization iterative process. Therefore, this paper developed that actual design concept at the preliminary ship design more than sequential design which separated in principal dimension decisions and hull form variations. Furthermore, a probabilistic approach at the preliminary ship design is applied to efficiently solve design information uncertainty that compared to deterministic approach.

Chine형선(型船)의 상하진동(上下振動)에 대(對)한 가상관성계수(假想慣性係數)에 관(關)하여 (On the Virtual Inertia Coefficient of the Chine-type Ship in Vertical Vibration)

  • To contribute towards more accurate estimation of the virtual coefficient for the vertical vibration of the chine-type ship, experimentally obtained three-dimensional correction factors, J, of added mass of prismatic beams having cross section shape of hypotrocoid characters, slightly concaved Lewis form and elliptic form are investigated in connection with the applicability of an approximate analytical calculation method compared to that proposed by T. Kumai[6] for the Lewis form cylinders, and synthetically in compared with the experimental works on various cross section shapes of the other type by L.C. Burril et al[8] and the analytical works on the ellipsoid of revolution by F.M. Lewis[1] and J.L. Taylor[2]. The experimental results show that the aforementioned analytical method gives, unlike that for the Lewis form cylinders, considerably larger J-values for the chine-type cylinders, and that the influence of the character of the cross section shape on J-values is not remarkable in practical sense. Finally, considering in synthesis the experimental results on prismatic beams, the Burril's works on palabolic plan form and elliptic plan form, and that the chine-type ship usually has a hull form of transom stern, it is fairly safe to say, at the present stage, that adoptation of the Taylor's J-values will not results in any large error in estimation of the virtual inertia coefficients of the chine-type ships.

선박 조종성능 연구를 위한 선체형상 파라메터와 유체력미계수와의 관계분석 (The study on ship's manoeuvrability through the analysis of the relationship between hydrodynamic coefficient and ship hull parameter)

  • 이 연구는 선박 설계 초기단계에서 선형 변화에 따른 선박 조종성능 추정에 관한 내용을 다루었다. 선박제원을 대표하는 파라메터 그리고 선미형상의 변화를 민감하게 반영할 수 있는 새로운 파라메터를 선정하는 작업을 수행하였다. 이렇게 선정된 파라메터와 유체력 미계수와의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 구속모형 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 기본적인 선박제원 중 선체 유체력 미계수와 상관도가 높은 파라메터를 가려낼 수 있었다. 또한 선미형상의 새로운 파라메터와 조종성능과의 상관도를 추정할 수 있었다. 또한 이를 활용하여 유체력미계수에 대한 새로운 경험식을 제시하였다. 이를 활용하면, 초기 선형 설계 시 선형변화 및 수정에 따른 조종성능 추정에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 선박의 추진성능 추정을 위한 통계해석 기법을 연구하고 전산 프로그램을 만들었다. 조파저항계수의 추정식은 조파저항이론을 이용하여 스테이션 별 횡단면적계수의 곱으로 표현되도록 도출해 내었고, 이에 대한 회귀계수는 모형시험 결과를 회귀분석하여 얻었다. 형상계수, 반류비 및 추력감소율의 추정식들은 선체 주요지수, 스테이션 별 횡단면적계수 및 모형시험 결과들을 순순하게 회귀분석하여 얻었다. 통계해석은 여러가지 기술통계와 단계별 회귀분석 기법을 적절하게 이용하여 수행하였다. 추진성능 추정 프로그램은 저항계수, 추진계수, 프로펠러 단독효율 및 각종 척도효과 등을 모두 쉽게 수용할 수 있도록 다양하면서도 간결하게 만들었다.

Extension of Guilloton's Method for the Calculation of Wave-making Resistance and Velocities at the Vicinity of a Ship Hull(2nd Report)

  • The materials to develop a computer-based method for the wave resistance of a ship within the frame of Guilloton's wedge concept are presented in this paper. A systematic reliable procedure to retrieve the linearized hull corresponding to a given real hull form(the so-called inverse transformation) has been devised. The algorithm based on the present materials produces evidently accurate values of the H-functions, and the wave profiles and the wave resistance coefficients in good agreement with the experimental measurements.

  • In order to study the problem on form factor of hull form, towing test of a full ship model was carried out for different initial trims under both full and half load conditions. The results were fully discussed on the mutual relations among initial trim, mean sinkage and trim change in run, and form factor. There exists optimum initial trim in regard to form factor. Mean sinkage and trim change in run can be expressed in a uninominal approximation in the form of $k_i{\cdot}{F_n}^{2.2}$. The coefficients of this approxmation are related linearly with the initial trim. Form factor changes according to Froude number. It is considered that the trim change in run is a main reason of the fact.
