  • The electrical and electromagnetic shielding properties have been investigated in polyaniline free standing films with different degrees of elongation cast from N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone(NMP) solution and camphorsulfonic acid(HCSA) doped polyaniline film. The degree of crystallinity of the crosslinked films increased with increasing the draw ratio. For the case of the oriented films doped with hydrochloric acid, we have the values of conductivities up to 173 S/cm. It is considered that the physical micro-crystalline crosslinking domains act as nucleation sites for the increase of relative crystallinity during stretching. We have obtained the value of conductivity 210 S/cm in the HCSA doped polyaniline film cast from the solvent of m-cresol, which is higher than that of the crosslinking oriented films. The electromagnetic shielding efficiency of HCSA doped polyaniline film obtained 37-41 dB in the frequency range of 10MHz-1GHlz, which is higher than that of the crosslinking oriented films. The higher value of electromagnetic shielding efficiency of HCSA doped polyaniline film suggests strong possibility of electromagnetic shielding material.

  • The wireless power transfer (WPT) system using a magnetic resonance was based on magnetic resonance coupling of the transmission and the receiver coils. In these system, it is important to maintain a high quality-factor (Q-factor) to increase the transmission efficiency of WPT system. Our research team used a superconducting coil to increase the Q-factor of the magnetic resonance coil in WPT system. When the superconductor is applied in these system, we confirmed that transmission efficiency of WPT system was higher than normal conductor coil through a preceding study. The efficiency of the transmission and the receiver coil is affected by the magnetic shielding effect of materials around the coils. The magnetic shielding effect is dependent on the type, thickness, frequency, distance, shape of materials. Therefore, it is necessary to study the WPT system on the basis of these conditions. In this paper, the magnetic shield properties of the cooling system were analyzed using the High-Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS, Ansys) program. We have used the shielding materials such as plastic, aluminum and iron, etc. As a result, when we applied the fiber reinforced polymer (FRP), the transmission efficiency of WPT was not affected because electromagnetic waves went through the FRP. On the other hand, in case of a iron and aluminum, transmission efficiency was decreased because of their electromagnetic shielding effect. Based on these results, the research to improve the transmission efficiency and reliability of WPT system is continuously necessary.

  • In modern times, threat of high power electromagnetic wave is increasing. When the electrical grid and communication network are attacked by these high power electromagnetic wave, the whole infrastructure is paralyzed. To protect the infrastructure from these high power electromagnetic wave threat, the shielding facility that can block high power electromagnetic wave is constructed. Also shielding effectiveness evaluation about the constructed facility is important. But, because of space efficiency and saving of construction cost to construct the actual shielding facility, the shielding room wall is generally adjacent to exterior concrete structures. As space between shielding facility wall and concrete structures is very small, arranging the transmitting antenna exterior shielding facility is realistically difficult. Therefore, in this research, The shielding effectiveness measurement plan in the state of exterior narrow space of HEMP shielding facility is presented. And to apply this plan, The influence of shielding effectiveness according to the size of the shielding facility is analyzed.

  • In this paper, the energy efficiency of a 4H-SiC UMOSFET with a local floating superjunction (LFS UMOSFET) was compared with a conventional P-shielding UMOSFET. For analysis, P-shielding UMOSFET and LFS UMOSFET were modeled for energy loss and junction temperature. As a result, LFS UMOSFET showed switching loss reduction of 20.6%. In addition, it was confirmed that LFS UMOSFET is applied to a 3-phase inverter, resulting in 33.2% lower power efficiency and 28.1% lower junction temperature than P-shielding UMOSFET. Electrical characteristics were simulated using Sentaurus TCAD, and the power circuit was simulated with the modelled UMOSFET using PSIM, a power circuit simulator.

  • In these days, many advanced nations have enforced import restrictions against things emitting electromagnetic wave which has report that it is so harmful. In general, electromagnetic wave is composed of electric wave and magnetic wave. The reflection of electromagnetic wave is mainly reflected by conductive materials and the magnetism loss is generated by magnetic ferrite. The magnetism loss of ferrite is separated by eddy current loss, residual magnetism loss and hysteresis loss. Thermal sprayed coating is intended to manufacture because of simple processes and high efficient electromagnetic wave shielding. The high efficient thermal sprayed coatings were made from the magnetic ferrite materials that characterizes absorption of electromagnetic wave, and the electric conductive materials that characterize emitting of electromagnetic wave. This study was manufactured thermal sprayed coatings to improve absorption-efficiency, and measured the electromagnetic wave shielding efficiency. As the experimental results, high electromagnetic wave shield efficiency was obtained at wave frequency 2GHz to thermal sprayed ferrite coatings manufactured by size distribution range of spray powders, $38~88\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • The sheet for electromagenetic interference (EMI) shielding was prepared with slurry made by the mixture of binder, methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone and metal powder. We tried to enhance the shielding efficiency by adding carbon nanotube (CNT), which has known as highly conducting material. Surface and component analyses were carried out with SEM and EDS, respectively. The electric characteristics and EMI shielding efficiencies were measured with 4-point probe measurement and EMI efficiency measurement equipment. The sheet with 2% CNT addition showed the lowest electrical resistance, $13.13{\Omega}}{\cdot}cm$. It also showed the highest EMI shielding efficiency of 63 dB.

  • Radiation causes radiation hazards in the human body. In Korea, a case of radiation necrosis occurred in 2014. In this study, the scatter and shielding efficiency according to lead shielding were classified into epidermis and dermis for 0.511 MeV used in nuclear medicine. In this study, experiments were conducted using the slab phantom that represents calibration and the dose of human trunk. Experimental results showed that the shielding rate of 0.25 mmPb was 180% in the epidermis and 96% in the dermis. Shielding at 0.5mmPb showed shielding rates of 158%in the epidermis and 82% in the dermis. As a result of measuring the absorbed dose by subdividing the thickness of the dermis into 0.5 mm intervals, when the shielding was carried out at 0.25 mmPb, the dose appeared to be about 120% at 0.5 mm of the dermis surface, and the dose was decreased at the subsequent depth. Shielding at 0.5 mmPb, the dose appeared to be about 101% at the surface 0.5 mm, and the dose was measured to decrease at the subsequent depth. This result suggests that when lead aprons are actually used, the scattering rays would be sufficiently removed due to the spaces generated by the clothes and air, Therefore, the scattered ray generated from lead will not reach the human body. The ICRU defines the epidermis (0.07), in which the radiation-induced damage of the skin occurs, as the dose equivalent. If the radiation dose of the dermis is considered in addition, it will be helpful for the evaluation of the prognosis for radiation hazard of the skin.

  • With the advent of inexpensive computing power over the past two decades, applications of Monte Carlo radiation transport techniques have proliferated dramatically. At Los Alamos, the Monte Carlo codes MCNP5 and MCNPX are used routinely on personal computer platforms for radiation shielding analysis and dosimetry calculations. These codes feature a rich palette of variance reduction (VR) techniques. The motivation of VR is to exchange user efficiency for computational efficiency. It has been said that a few hours of user time often reduces computational time by several orders of magnitude. Unfortunately, user time can stretch into the many hours as most VR techniques require significant user experience and intervention for proper optimization. It is the purpose of this paper to outline VR strategies, tested in practice, optimized for several common radiation shielding tasks, with the hope of reducing user setup time for similar problems. A strategy is defined in this context to mean a collection of MCNP radiation transport physics options and VR techniques that work synergistically to optimize a particular shielding task. Examples are offered in the areas of source definition, skyshine, streaming, and transmission.

  • Shielding effects in conductive and magnetic materials were investigated as a function of properties, thickness and diameter. In this work, evaluations on passive conductive and magnetic shield specimens were achieved through experimentation set-up using 50 Hz single and three phase induction field sources. Analysis on material microstructure properties and characteristics of shielding specimens were performed with the use of vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). An induction field at $136{\mu}T$ of single phase system and $50{\mu}T$ of three phase systems were observed to the shield specimens with the thickness ranged of 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm. It is observed that shield specimen efficiency becomes inversely proportionate to the increment of induction fields. The decrease was attributed to the surface structure texture which relates to the crystallization and non-crystallization geometrical effects.

  • Furniture should change according to space. Therefore, it is important that the flexibility of the furniture, the functional efficiency, the economical efficiency and the convenience of the furniture of today. These characteristics are also important for seminar tables that are used temporarily by a large number of people. The seminar furniture currently in use has no shielding plate, there are two forms of table and shielding plate folding table. Therefore, in this research, furniture design and product development that can complement the shortcomings of the seminar furniture currently in use were done. Analysis of problems through overseas investigation and domestic market research, design planning and design, and prototyping. We have sought to optimize the volume by applying the characteristics of RTA furniture to develop a lightweight, lightweight, lightweight, easy to install and easy to use shielding plate, and open and closed system. Basically developed two types of shielding board seminar table basic shape and Roll Screen type, we expanded the scope of application such as each color and pattern. In order to reduce the weight, we replaced the parts such as anchor bolts and hinges and the shielding plate with Roll Screen and pursued volume optimization. As a result of this research, it is expected that the system of mechanisms such as packaging standardization and damage prevention for weight reduction and volume optimization will contribute to building competitiveness by domestic office prefabricated furniture industry's original technology.
