The shelter course guidance system using a sensor network (센서 네트워크를 이용한 대피경로 안내시스템)

  • When a fire occurs in a large-scale or complicated facility there is a possibility of large-scale loss of life if there is no information on the location of fire and the location of emergency exits for people to take shelter. Consequently, the fire or disaster prevention system and the shelter course guidance system that optimally guides the shelter course are necessary to reduce the loss of life. This paper proposes a shelter course guidance system using a sensor network to reduce the loss of life in a building where a fire occurs. The experimental result of this research shows that the shelter course guidance system provides the optimum shelter course to people in infrastructure when a fire occurs.

Characteristics of Cold Hardiness and Growth of Grapevines Grown under Rain Shelter Type Cultivation System in the Vineyard (간이비가림시설에서의 포도 내한성 발현 및 생육 특성)

  • There are variations among grapevine genotypes in the levels of tolerance to cold, and cold-hardiness of grapevine has been affected by the change of short-term environment during over-wintering. In this study, the responses of vines to cold in open field and rain-shelter system were investigated to obtain useful information in increasing the tolerance to cold in grape cultivation. Total carbohydrate content of bearing mother branches was higher in the rain-shelter system than in the open field, and lower in the branches of 'Muscat Bailey A' than in 'Campbell Early' and 'Kyoho'. Bud-burst and shoot growth were better in the rain-shelter system than in open field, whereas there is no significant difference among the treatments of net beside vines. There was also low incidence of gray mold in rain shelter system. Stilbene compounds such as t-piceid, resveratrol, piceatannol, c-piceid were accumulated in the cold-treated shoot from vine cuts harvested in rain shelter system. Genes of chalcone isomerase, manganese superoxide dismutase, proline rich protein 2, and temperature induced lipocalin were highly expressed in the cold-treated shoot from vine cuts harvested in rain shelter system. While there was not change of air temperature, but high reduction of wind speed in the rain shelter system compared to open field, and increase in the reduction of wind speed by net treatment. The damage of grapevines by cold in the extreme low temperature could be reduced by keeping them in the rain shelter system with net during winter season.

  • Design of shelter system requires consideration of noise at operators’ positions, because noise can injure person’s health. That is why studies which analyze and predict noise at operator’s positions is essential. To analyze noise sources of shelter system, this study measured noise of each equipment and obtained new equations by comparing the measured noise data and the equation which is relation noise and distance. The new equations predict noise level at operators’ positions. Actran analysis is performed to obtain noise level at operators’ positions too. At last, the noise level at operators’ positions measured in real shelter system is compared with the noise level predicted the new equations and Actran analysis.

  • We propose a shelter guidance system using the PLC to resolve that a conventional shelter guidance light for underground space has problems. The proposed shelter guidance system is composed of a main control part, a PLC remote control part, a charging part, a sound generation part, a display part, an alarm part and a smoke sensing part. The efficacy of the proposed system is verified by means of experimental. Experimental results are presented that show the effectiveness and the improvement of noise.

  • This paper presents a system-independent mobile smart shelter using solar energy technology that can be freely installed in various places, such as parks, countryside, event area, construction area and walking tour places where the system power are difficult to use. The proposed smart shelter is equipped with solar power generation and energy storage devices that is combined with IoT technology to collect indoor and outdoor humidity, fine dust and tourist awareness in real time. It is possible to efficiently manage energy by performing the optimal energy operation during the heat- wave, cold-wave situation and the presence of travelers and it is possible to serve as a shelter for as long as possible without system power.

  • The role of animal shelter is important for animal welfare. From this year, the animal shelter have clinic system and veterinarian. So adoption rate increased to 45%, die of illness decresed to 258% in the dog and adoption rate increased to 489%, die of illness decreased to 258% in the cat. The disease and condition of each animal is improved, also belief of adoption is improved too. veterinarian is necessary to animal welfare and systemic, professional model of animal shelter will contribute to animal welfare.

  • This paper describes the sound insulation and structural safety of the shelter which may be used for shooters. The noise level of the shelter should be less than 100 dB on the basis of the Industrial Safety and Act, the World Health Organization and the MIL-STD. The sound insulation design was designed for the shelter structure. The designed shelter performance was verified by the real measurement after completing the construction of the shelter. The system was also designed using the finite element method with data of sound pressure measured in the test. Its response was obtained numerically. It is proved that the shelter structure is sufficiently safe considering the calculated maximum stress level with the allowable stress of structural property.

Recently the electronic equipments is changing from development products to COTS(commecial off-the-shelf) for demonstrating high performance at low cost. As internal operators of shelter system conduct several missions for specific or long time in this present situation, one of the most important element considering the best combat power is internal noise level. Therefore, I desire to analyze the features and foresee multiple noise level with test for conforming whether requirements of design is met or not in this research paper.
