해상가두리 적정 사육기술 제시를 위한 전복양식 현황 (Status of the Abalone (Haliotis discus hannai) Aquaculture for Optimal Rearing Technique in Marine Net Cage)

  • We reviewed previous studies on well-performing aquaculture facilities, rearing environment, breeding management and feed supply to find the optimal conditions of the abalone aquaculture in marine cage. The size of marine cage varied depending on local area where the abalone farms are located. The small size cage ($2.4{\times}2.4{\times}2.5$ m) was used in Wando, Jindo and Hanam area where much of the provincial's abalone production is conducted and the middle size cage ($2.4{\times}4.8{\times}2.5$ m) was used in Huksando area. Big size group, above 2 cm in shell length, was produced from the end of October to the middle of November and small size group, below 2 cm in shell length, was produced from the end of March to the beginning of April next year in case of juvenile abalone of land production. The initial stocking density was 517-1,653 individuals/culture square meter($m^2$) in case of the big size group. The optimal rearing density was 326 and 263 individuals/culture square meter ($m^2$) after 1 year and 2 year's rearing, respectively. It is shown that relationship between individual shell length (x) and rearing density (y) is estimated to be $y=2,803.1x^{-1.4641}$ ($r^2=0.9687$). In addition, The obvious relationship was indicated between number of cage (x) and sea weed production facilities (y) as y=1.1542x+10.832 ($r^2=0.918$) in Wando, because sea mustard (Undaria pinnatifida) or japanese tangle (Laminaria japonica) was supplied as a feed for abalone culture. The general pattern of relationship between shell length (x) and shell weight (y) of cultured abalone is estimated to be $y=0.1443x^{2.9461}$ ($r^2=0.9997$).

중형 트럭의 정면 충돌 특성해석을 위한 유한요소 모델의 개발 (Development of a Finite Element Model for Frontal Crash Analysis of a Mid-Size Truck)

  • This paper develops a finite element model for studying the crashworthiness analysis of a mid-size truck. A simulation for a truck frontal crash to a rigid barrier using the model is performed with PAM-CRASH installed in super computer SP2. Full vehicle model is composed of 86467 shell elements, 165 beam elements and 98 bar elements, and 86769 nodes. The model uses four material model such as elastic, elastic-plastic(steel), rigid and elastic-plastic(rubber) material model which are in PAM-CRASH. Frame and suspension system are modeled with 28774 shell elements and 31412 nodes. Cab is modeled with 34680 shell elements and 57 beam elements, and 36254 nodes. Bumper is modeled with 2262 shell elements, and 2508 nodes. Axle, steering shaft, etc are modeled using beam or bar elements. Mounting parts are modeled using rigid bodies. Bodies are interconnected using nodal constrains or joint options. To verify the developed model, frontal crash test with 30mph velocity to a rigid barrier is carried out. In the crash test, vehicle pulse at lower part of b-pillar is measured, and deformed shapes of frame and driver seat area are photographed. Those measured vehicle pulse and photographed pictures are compared those from the simulation to verify the developed finite element model.

Clonazepam Release from Core-shell Type Nanoparticles In Vitro

  • AB-type amphiphilic copolymers (abbreviated as LE) composed of poly (L-leucine) (PLL) as the A component and poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO) as the B component were synthesized by the ring-opening polymerization of L-leucine N-carboxy-anhydride initiated by methoxy polyoxyethylene amine $(Me-PEO-NH_2)$ and characterized. Core-shell type nanoparticles were prepared by the diafiltration method. Particle size distribution obtained by dynamic light scattering was dependent on PLL composition and the size for LE-1, LE-2 and LE-3 was $369.6{\pm}267$, $523.4{\pm}410$ and $561.2{\pm}364 nm$, respectively. Shapes of the nanoparticies observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM) were almostly spherical. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) of the nanoparticles determined by a fluorescence probe technique was dependent on the composition of hydrophobic PLL, and the CMC for LE-1, LE-2 and LE-3 was $2.0{\times}10^{-6},1.7{\times}10^{-6}$ and $1.5{\times}10^{-6}(mol/l) $, respectively. Clonazepam release from core-shell type nanoparticles in vitro was dependent on PLL composition and drug loading content.

핵종류별 참전복 진주 형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Abalone Pearl Formation using Different Nucleus)

  • So far, for pearl culture using abalones, a plastic nucleus has been planted in an abalone by perforating the shell. But after planing 80 % of abalones died, and even if they live, the pearl's hardness was not so good. The weak hardness made the pearl valueless. The quality of a pearl is decided by the gloss and the quality of the pearl's layer. This study is to find the right nucleus for abalones and to decrease a death rate of abalones by selecting the right planting place. This study was also performed to obtain valuable pearls with proper size, gloss, and good color. Below is the result of the research; Conch shells out of the various nucleus materials were the best. Their shape, color and gloss were very good. The nucleus was planted in the part that a shell is grown up under the absorption ball, as a result a pearl sack was quickly made. After 15 days, out of every pearl, pearl sacks were made. The pearl formation was measured every month. From the abalone shell which was planted in April, qualitative pearls which was from 5mm to 5.81mm in size were obtained in December.

성장기 소녀용 브래지어 패턴개발 (The Development of Brassiere Pattern for Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develops of brassiere pattern for middle school students (15 ages ${\mp}$ 3). In order to design a brassiere pattern, the body surface shell was used as the basic pattern. The foundation pattern and the four-piece brassiere pattern with wire were designed and sewed. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. The foundation pattern of the size 75A was proved proper for the body by the wearing tests. Each angle and length of the parts on the base line of the breasts played an important role on setting the pattern. 2. As based on the body surface shell extracted from a plaster mold, the cups of brassiere pattern were applied to the body surface shell, and full side stretch -wings were applied to 8% reduced body size. 3. As the result of the wearing test, the excellence of the experimental brassiere was recognized objectively, with high marks in all the items of clothing compensation, body motion, clothing pressure and breasts growth. The experimental brassiere was covering the whole breasts to cope with change according to breasts growth, It was designed to support the breasts firmly, not to press the middle part of them. Simultaneously, this has the advantages that satisfy a characteristic of a figure and the purpose of putting it on.

홍합의 사육조건과 성장 (Culture Condition and Growth of Larvae of the Mytilus Coruscus Gould)

  • The larvae of Mytilus coruscus were grown at the room temperature of approximately 15.1C under several different sulture conditions, i.e., salinity, population of the larvae, density and kind of food organisms, etc. (1) The egg of Mytilus coruscus obtained in the laboratory measured about 73.0${\mu}$ in diameter. The embryos gradually developed into larvae up to 179.0${\mu}$ shell length with the shell height of 135.9${\mu}$ even in the absence of the algal food. Beyond this size, however, the growth of larvae was considerably retarded, indicating that the better growth could be expected if the food began to be fed four days after spawning. (2) The larvae began settling upon reaching 281.4${\mu}$ to 310.9${\mu}$ in shell length or 264.3${\mu}$ to 301.9${\mu}$ in shell height. When the shell length reaches 322.6${\mu}$ to 337.1${\mu}$, the shell height also reaches about the same, i.e., 321.5${\mu}$ to 346.2${\mu}$. (3) Daily rate of food consumption was determined by the size of the larvae and the species of the algal food. Regardless of the species of food given, the rage of food consumption remained almost the same until the larva reached the straight-hinge stage, and marked variations were found as the larvae grew larger. Daily rate of food consumption was shown as follow; Chaetoceros calcitrans : Y=2.99167e$\^$0.000018243x$\^$2// Cyclotella nana : Y=3.00324e$\^$0.000015481x$\^$2// Monochrysis lutheri : Y=3.000056e$\^$0.000014485$\^$2// (4) Suitable amount of the food to be given was about five times of the consumed food by Mytilus coruscus. (5) When the numbers of the larvae was higher than ten per milliliter, the growth was significantly retarded. (6) Monochrysis lutheri and Cyclotella nana were much better than Chaetoceros calcitrans as the food of Mytilus coruscus, and even the same food organism showed some difference with the age of the organism. (7) Sea water of higher salinity showed the better result in the growth of the larvae and the water with the specific gravity of 1.020 or below was dangerous for the larvae. 노년기 브래지어 패턴 개발 (A Study on the Development of Brassiere Pattern for Elderly Women)

  • A Study on the Development of Brassiere Pattern for Elderly Women The purpose of this study is to develop functional and sensible brassiere for elderly women. For this purpose, 6 elderly women(aged between 65 and 69) were sampled to be measured for their body sizes and tested for their bressiere wearing. he results were as follows; 1. In order to develop the basic patterns of elderly women's bressieres, 90B size was selected and then, their bressiere fitting was tested. The foundation pattern of the size 90A was proved for the body by the wearing tests. Each angle and length of the parts on the basic line of the breasts played an important role on setting the pattern. 2. As based on the body surface shell extracted from a plastic mold(photo.2), the cup of brassiere pattern were applied to the body surface shell(photo.4), and full side stretch-wings were applied to 13% reduced body size. The design pattern of elderly women's brassiers were characterized by a round wired as well as a full cup(3piece) embracing the entire breasts. 3. As the result of the wearing test, the excellence of the experimental brassiere was recognized objectively, with high marks in all the items(fig. 6). The experimental brassiere was covering the whole breasts to cope with change according to breasts loosing. It was designed to support the breasts firmly.

CIC형 보청기용 범용 이어쉘 제작을 위한 파라미터 추출 및 시뮬레이션 (Parameter Extraction and Simulation in order to Manufacture Ready-made Ear Shell for CIC Type Hearing Aids)

  • Most of the ear shells of hearing aids are manufactured manually, and it is one of the reasons that the cost of the custom-made hearing aids can be increased. Thus it is required to manufacture the ready-made ear shell for the purpose of easy manufacturing and decrease in cost. In this study, we extract parameters in order to manufacture the ready-made ear shell for CIC type hearing aids and simulate to reconstruct the ear shell using the extracted parameters. To parameter extraction, we set up the eleven parameters for the ready-made ear shell based on anatomical characteristics of the ear canal, and we found values of the parameters from twenty-one impressions in their 20s and twelve impressions in their 60s using aperture detection and feature detection algorithms. Classifying the parameters by size, we also determine the parameters of ready-made ear shell into three types for people in their 20s and two types for people in their 60s. Each ready-made ear shell was simulated to reconstruct using figured parameters, and evaluated the rate of agreement with unused impressions for setting parameters. To evaluate the ready-made ear shell, we calculate the volume ratio and intersection between of the each impression and ready-made ear shell, and the intersection ratio using the intersection volume and ready-made ear shell volume. As a result, the volume ratio was about 70%, and volume match ratio was also up to 70%. It means that the ready-made ear shell we simulated is the significantly matched to impression.

영광 하사리 해안 퇴적층 내의 연안 범람 증거 (The Evidence of Coastal Flooding Within the Coastal Depositsin Hasa-ri, Yeonggwang)

  • Sand deposit with shell units is exposed in Hasa-ri, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeonnam province. We investigated the characteristics of sand sediment topography in the Yeonggwang coastal area to collect evidence of the paleo-environmental change. We performed analysis on particle characteristics, chemical composition, and the age of deposition of sediments. The deposit comprise moderately well sorted medium and fine sand ($1.00{\sim}2.19{\varphi}$). Various sedimentary structures can be observed. Geochemical characteristics change by depth and the degree of variation with depth is small. The results obtained from OSL dating show that sand layers below shell units are deposited 0.32-0.43 ka. As the elevation of the shell unit far mean high water levels or highest high water level, the extensive shell layers could only have been deposited during storm surge conditions. Aeolian processes are discounted due to the size of clasts and the location at which they occur. Results of age dating of the surrounding deposits indicate shell deposits formed after around 300 years age. There is a distinct difference between sedimentary layers including dark brown-black layer. The sedimentary characters such as particle size and geochemistry show difference with depth. It is presumed that depositional environmental in Hasa-ri has changed several times before. This study is expected to contribute to finding an evidence about occurrence of storm surges.

코아-쉘 마이크로 캡슐을 이용한 기능성 샴푸의 제조 및 응용 (Preparation and application of the functionalized Shampoo with core-shell microcapsule)

  • 본 연구는 3종의 기능성 마이크로 캡슐을 제조하고 이 기능성 마이크로 캡슐을 이용하여 기능성 샴푸를 제조하였다. 구체적으로는 (1) 코아-멘톨, 쉘-멜라민 수지로 제조로 된 기능성 마이크로 캡슐, (2) 코아-멘톨, 쉘-레시틴, (3) 코아-시나몬 오일, 쉘-레시틴로 합성한 기능성 마이크로 캡슐이다. 제조한 기능성 마이크로 캡슐의 크기 및 형태 평가는 광학현미경, SEM 및 DLS를 통해 수행한 결과 0.1~0.2 ㎛의 크기와 원형형태의 마이크로 캡슐임을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, 제조된 기능성 마이크로캡슐을 이용하여 기능성 샴푸를 제조하고, 이 제조된 기능성 샴푸를 직접 사용하여 두피 온도를 측정한 결과, 두피 온도가 3~4 ℃ 떨어지는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 이는 코아 물질이 휘발하면서 나타나는 현상으로 예측된다. 추후, 기능성 샴푸의 인체 사용 시 두피의 모공 변화 등을 측정할 예정이다.
