We had one female ALS patient. The patient was diagnosed with ALS by EMG and Symptoms. We diagnosed the patient as Jinshang(筋傷) and Pishenyangxu(脾腎陽虛). We gave Shaoyaogancao-tang jiami(芍藥甘草湯加味) and Sijunzi-tang he Lizhong-tang jiami(四君子合理中湯加味) based on the differentiation of symtoms. We report the changes of the ALS patient's disphagia, lalopathy, and hypotonia after two months treatment with Riluzole and oriental medical treatment.

Objective : 2 clinical cases were analyzed to report the improvement of patient having anger problem and patient of low leg pain treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : We collected 2 cases treated by Jagyakgamcho-tang according to a disease pattern identification diagnostic system and defined the conceptional meaning of each provision by analyzing each case. Results : Patients in 2 cases were cured by Jagyakgamcho-tang selected according to Shanghanlun provisions dualized with Je-Gang(提綱) and Jo-Moon(條文). Conclusions : This study suggests Shanghanlun provisions are the record of significant factors which are closely related with and aggravate disease.

Objectives : This case report presents a 33-year-old male patient who complained chest pain and anxiety. diagnosed with panic disorder with agoraphobia improved by Herbal Extracts. SRP(Stress Reduction Program) and Acupuncture treatment. Methods : In early treatment period. we evaluated his general psychological state through interview and self-questionnaires(STAI, SCL-90-R, STAXI, BDI) for treatment planing. And then we had prescribed herbal extracts for 20 weeks with applying SRP and acupuncture treatment. After 20 weeks we assessed his psychological symptoms with same evaluation tools. Results : After 20 weeks. We found that patient's somatic and psychological symptoms(anxiety, depression, anger) were alleviated. Frequency and severity of panic attacks were reduced also. Conclusions : Herbal extracts. especially Gyejigayonggolmoryo-tang(桂枝加龍骨牡蠣湯) and Jakyakgamcho-tang(芍藥甘草湯), may be useful therapeutic tool for control of panic attack symptoms and anxiety.
