패션 성적소구광고의 광고효과에 관한 연구 (The Advertising Effects of Fashion Sexual Appeal Advertising)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine if there are the differences in advertising effects among three fashion sexual advertisements in terms of sexual appeal levels(high/medium/low). Through three pre-tests, three stimuli were chosen for this study. Three hundred female college students in Seoul participated in this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, ANOVA analysis, and reliability test were used. The results were as follows: First, from the factor analysis on advertising attitudes, three factors such as emotional, behavioral, and cognitive factors were produced. Second, there were significant differences in three sexual appeal levels among three advertising attitude factors. Third, there was also a significant difference in three sexual appeal levels on brand attitude. Finally, there was not a significant difference in the sexual appeal levels on purchase intention. Based on these results, this study would provide significant and efficient fashion advertising strategies to fashion advertising marketers and advertisement creators as implications.

A Study on the Expression of Apparel Advertising in Men's Apparel

  • The purpose of this study was to offer basic resource for effective advertising strategy of men's apparel by analysing the characteristics of the appeal types in the men's apparel ads. 272 photographs were collected the following magazines ; fashion magazine, men's magazine, luxury magazine, woman's general magazine, and fashion professional magazine. It was related to the men's apparel ads of magazines above from January to December of 2001. The results of this study was as follows; Appeal types of apparel advertising in men's apparel were divided into style appeal, informercial appeal, sexual appeal, lifestyle appeal, image appeal, and masculinity appeal and appeared other appeal types according to men's fashion style, brand types, and magazine types. It also was closely connected with the men's market positioning. Consequently, the study will be helpful to plan the effective and economic strategy of men's apparel ads.

소구유형별 내의류 광고에 대한 소비자 태도-성적.비성적 소구유형을 중심으로- (Consumer's Attitudes toward Underwear Advertisements by Appeal Types-with or without Sex Appeal-)

  • The present study is to analyze the dimensions of affective responses according to the types of appeal in underwear advertisements and to find out the influences of affective res-ponses on the attitudes toward advertisement and brands. The research has been made by normative-descriptive survey method with the sample of 654 consumers residing in Seoul and Incheon. The data gaathered was analyzed by the methods of means, standard deviation, ANOVA, factor analysis and regression. The result are as follows : 1. There are 4 dimensions of affective responses ; Emotional dimension, Negative dimen-sion, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual activation dimension. 2. Affective responses to the advertising were different according to the characteristics of the consumers. According to the consumer's sex, there are significant differences in each dimension of their affective responses. To the sex appeal advertisement, man show higher degree of affective responses in Emotional, Upbeat-activation and Sexual-activation dim-ensions, while women show higher degree of affective responses in Negative dimension. 3. In case of female consumers, there are significant differences in affective responses to the both appeal type of advertisements according to consumer's age. As the age is increasing. Emotional dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing, but Negative dimension is decreasing in the Ads with sex appeal. In particular, the 19∼24s age group shows strong responses in the Emotional dimension, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension to Ads with sex appeal, while it shows the lowest affective responses in Negative dimension. It represents the 19-24s age group is the most positive one to the under-wear advertisements with sex appeal. Consequently, it is proved that the Ads with sex appeal focusing on this age group can be one of the most effective advertising plans. 4. The involvement gets higher, Upbeat-ac-tivation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing both in males and female groups. But Negative dimension is in-creasing in the female consumer group of low involvement. 5. The attitudes toward advertisements and brands are comparatively stronger in the advertisements using sex appeal type. Regardless of types of appeal in the advertisements, there is a significant difference in their attitudes tow-ard Ads between male and female consumer groups. When Ads are sexual, attitudes toward Ads and Brands are stronger in the female consumer group. But males consumers show com-paratively strong attitudes toward the advertis-ements and brands in both types of appeal. 6. The age of consumers doesn't make any significant difference in their attitudes toward advertisements and brands in both types of appeal. 7. According to the involvement level of the consumers, there are significant differences in their attitudes toward advertisements. In the groups of low involvement, the female consumers show more favorite attitudes toward the advertisements with sex appeal, while the male group show more favorite attitudes toward the non-sex appeal advertisement. But there is no significant difference in consumer's attitude toward brands according to the types of appeal of the advertisement. 8. The affective responses of the consumers caused by the underwear advertisements have a respectable influence on their attitudes toward the advertisements and brands. This research represents that the advertisers should try to arise consumer's positive affective responses such as pleasant, happy, cheerful and warm-hearted emotions by the advertisements. Based on the above results of the research, it can be said that the consumer's affective responses have a strong effect not only on their attitudes toward adver-tisements but on those toward attitude toward the brands.

페미니즘적 의상의 성적 이미지 지각에 관한 연구 (A study on the Perception of Feministic Fashion's Sexual Image)

  • The purpose of this is to analyze the perception of sex image by feministic fashion based on the theory of feminism, which has been developed since the 1960’s. Feministic fashion is divided 8 style and analyzed. For this study, surveying photo of feministic fashion and making out questionnaires. The data was collected from 391 university student(184 male, 207 female) living in Taegu and Kyoungpok and is analyzed by factor analysis, t-test. The result are as follows: 1. The Tendency of perceiving Feministic Fashion’s Sexual Image Male had more positive view on the sexual image of see-through and Body-conscious styles than female. And male showed more negative view on the sexual image of lingerie, punk, madonna or disorganized style. There was no significant difference between male and female in their opinion on the sex appeal of fashion that exposed some physical part. Concerning the sexual image of unisex mode, both male and female had an idea that it had nothing to do with sex appeal. Regarding the preference for sex-expressive fashion, they favored see-through and Body-conscious styles most. 2. In relation to clothing behavior toward sex-expressive fashion, both male and female generally revealed a negative view on fashion that exposed physical part and provoked an impression of keen sex appeal. 3. Sexual perception degree about the body, in physical exposure, that physical part from which they felt sex appeal most was the breast. What they most wanted to emphasize was the breast, too. As a physical part that caused their rejection symptom and made them feel hatred both and female pointed out the hips.

The Effect of the Types of Sex-appeal Fashion POP on Attitude toward Advertising: Focusing on the Moderating Role of Gender and Sensation Seeking

  • This study empirically compares the influence of sex-appeal fashion Point-of-Purchase (POP) types on attitude towards advertising. It also highlights the moderating roles of gender and the level of sensation seeking. Three sex-appeal fashion POP types (nude/semi-nude/body conscious) were developed for this study and the interaction effect of the types of sex-appeal fashion POP advertising and gender was tested. In addition, interaction effect of the types of sex-appeal fashion POP advertising and the level of sensation seeking (high/low) was tested. The results found that gender influenced consumer attitudes toward sex-appeal fashion POP advertising type. Male consumers showed a more favorable attitude toward advertising for the nude type than others; however, female consumers showed a more favorable attitude toward advertising for semi-nude and body conscious type than the nude type. The results also found a significant two-way interaction effect of sexual POP advertising types and sensation seeking on attitude toward POP advertising. High sensation seekers preferred nude and semi-nude type POP advertising to body conscious POP advertising. It is useful to investigate how various marketing factors support attitude toward POP advertising in the context of sexual fashion POP advertising and which factors exert the strongest influence within different degrees of nudity.

아동대상 성범죄에 대한 형벌제도 : QCA방법론을 이용한 양형분석 (Penalty system for sexual crime against children: A qualitative comparative analysis of sentencing)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 19세 미만의 아동을 대상으로 한 성범죄 사건의 판결에서 부과되는 실형 선고 기간을 심급별로 비교관점에서 살펴보고, 심급별로 실형부과에 유의미한 영향을 주는 원인을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2000년 "아청법" 제정 이후부터 2015년까지 대법원판결이 이루어진 사건들 8건의 1심과 2심을 합한 총16개 판결문을 분석하였다. 분석대상 원인조건들은 가해자의 전과, 반성, 위력, 피해자의 용서, 가해자와 피해자의 관계를, 결과조건은 실형기간으로 하여 분석하였으며 분석방법으로는 퍼지셋 질적 비교분석(fs-QCA)방법을 사용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 아동대상 성범죄를 이유로 한 재판에서도 1심에서보다 2심에서 형량 기간이 짧아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 2) 실형선고에는 1심에서 가해자의 반성과 피해자의 용서가 결합된 원인조건이, 2심에서는 가해자의 위력과 피해자의 용서가 결합된 원인조건이 가장 중요하게 작용하고 있었다. 3) 가해자와 피해자의 관계는 1심과 2심 모두에서 실형선고에 영향을 주는 원인조건이 되지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 동일한 사실관계에 기초한 같은 사건임에도 1심과 2심 각각에서 유의미한 원인조건의 결합과 실형의 관계가 동일하지 않음을 보여주는 것이었다. 또한 특정 원인변수는 그 자체로써가 아닌 어떤 다른 원인조건과 결합되느냐에 따라 다른 결과를 보이고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아동대상 성범죄의 양형판단은 사건별로 다른 정황과 환경적 맥락에서 해석되어야 함을 시사하며 아동대상성범죄의 양형에 대한 문제를 개선하고 아동보호에 대한 실효성 및 아동복지에 대한 실질적인 진전을 위해 우리가 간과했을지 모르는 사회적 요인에 대한 노력이 병행되어야 함을 제시하였다.

아이트래킹을 활용한 성적소구광고 이미지의 시각적 주의에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Visual Attention of Sexual Appeal Advertising Image Utilizing Eye Tracking)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 호기심을 자극하는 성적소구 광고 중에서 특히 주관적으로 해석하기 쉬운 소주광고 이미지를 AOI(area of interest) 3영역(얼굴, 몸매, 제품)으로 설정하여 심리 생리학적 지표 중 하나인 아이트래킹을 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과, 광고모델의 시각적 주의, 즉 관심도가 몸매보다는 얼굴에서 높게 나타났다. 남자가 여자보다 몸매에 관심도가 높을 거라는 예측과는 달리 남녀 모두 몸매보다는 얼굴에 관심도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 제품에 대한 재인과 회상은 유의하지 않음을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 성적소구 광고에 대한 남녀 소비자들의 시선의 응시점과 응시시간 등의 시각적 주의의 패턴을 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의를 가지며 소주광고 이미지가 나아가야 할 표현방식과 나아가 적절한 마케팅 방향을 제시함으로써 소주광고 이미지에 긍정적인 영향을 가져다주길 기대한다.

모델유형과 제품의 성 정체성 그리고 메시지 소구에 따른 크로스 광고모델 효과 (Cross-Model Effect of Model Types, Product Gender Identity and Message Appeal Type)

  • 본 연구는 최근 기업과 소비자들에게 이슈화되고 있는 크로스 광고모델 효과를 살펴보았다. 실험설계는 모델 유형(2)${\times}$제품의 성 정체성(2)${\times}$광고메시지 소구형태(2) 요인설계이다. 연구결과 첫째, 광고 모델유형에 따른 광고 인지반응은 일반 모델보다 크로스 모델의 회상지수가 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 제품의 성 정체성에 따른 광고 인지반응은 남성제품보다 여성제품에서 회상지수가 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 광고주목도 변량분석결과 모델 유형과 메시지 소구유형은 각각 주 효과가 확인되었다. 또한 모델의 유형과 제품의 성 정체성, 모델유형과 메시지 소구유형에서 상호작용효과가 확인되었다. 끝으로, 모델 제품 적합도를 분석결과, 모델유형과 제품의 성 정체성 그리고 메시지 소구유형에는 주 효과가 확인되었다. 이상의 결과는 광고효과를 효율적으로 증진시키기 위한 모델전략에 의미 있는 결과를 확인하였다는 것에 의의를 두고자 한다.

1990년대 잡지광고에 표현된 남성정장 광고의 문자의상 분석 - 표제를 중심으로 - (An Analysis of Contents on Written Clothing Described in Advertisement of Men′s Wear)

  • The aim of this study was to describe how the type of appeal and linguistic expression of men's wear advertisement in magazines by analyzing domestic men's and ladies' magazines published from 1990 to 1999. The periodical change in advertisement trend was also discussed. 1. Type of Linguistic expression The type of linguistic expression used in advertisements far men's wear could be classified into the following five categories : emotional expression, sensual expression, egoistic expression, informative expression, and brand name expression. The periodical trend in the use of each type of linguistic expression was as follows: the occupancy rate for the type of emotional expression was roughly 50 percent in the early 90's (1990-1993) and this percentage gradually decreased during the mid 90's (1994-1196) until the late 90's (1997-1990). Despite the decrease in occupancy rate, this type was the most commonly used. While the occupancy rate fur the type of informative expression gradually increased during the decade, occupancy growth fur the type of brand name expression was slight until its rapid expansion in the late 90's. The occupancy rate for the type of egoistic expression steadily increased during the early and mid 90's but decreased to its original percentage in the late 90's. As for the sensual expression, its occupancy was insignificant up to the mid 90's and then rapidly decreased in the late 90's. 2. Type of appeal The type of appeal used in men's wear advertisements could be classified into the four categories, sensitive appeal, sex appeal, image appeal, and quality appeal. The periodical trend in the use of each type of appeal was as follows: sensitive appeal was most commonly used during the decade ; it had an occupancy rate over 50 percent in the early 90's but the rate gradually decreased during the mid and late 90's. Sexual appeal were the least commonly used; though the occupancy rate increased during the early and mid 90's it dropped dramatically in the late 97's. The occupancy rate for image appeal gradually decreased until its growth in the late 90's. The occupancy rate fur quality appeal was insignificant in the early 90's. This percentage rapidly increased in the mid 90's but relapsed in the late 90's.

소비자의 신세대 특성 지향 정도에 따른 성적소구 진 의류광고의 선호도 및 제품 구매의도 차이 (Differences of Advertisement Preference and Intention to Purchase Product between the Groups haying Different Orientation of the Characteristics of New Young Generation in Sexuality - oriented Fashion Advertising)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to identify the differences between the sexes in the perception of sexuality in jeans fashion advertising, 2) to find out the differences between the high and low sexy advertisements and the differences between the groups which had different orientation of the characteristics of new young generation in preferences of advertisements and intentions to purchase product in sexy fashion advertising. The data were collected using questionnairs which contained nine advertisements of Guess Jeans, from 441 college students (female= 225, male= 216) living in Seoul, Korea participated in the study and the data were and analyzed by paired 1·test and t-test. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were significant differences between male and female in the perceptions of sexuality in jeans advertisements. Second, by paired t-test, male preferred highly sexy advertisement to low sexy advertisement, and female's intention to purchase product was higher in the advertisement of high sex appeal than that of low sex appeal. Third, there were partially significant diferences between two groups which had different orientation of the characteristics of new young generation in preferences of sexy advitisements. The differences of intentions to purchase product between two groups were significant in highly sexual advertising. But in low sexual advertising, the significant differences between two groups were not found in advertisement preferences and intentions to purchase products.
