Finally, there was a significant(P<0.01) positive correlation between the drinking experience and the illusion experience by chemical adhesives. According to the results mentioned above, the fact is certain that there is a great need for sex education of adolescents. Therefore, it is desirable that the schools teach sexual physiology and normal positively and that sex education including hygien education be an independant course in the curriculums. Furthermore, it is essential that the schools should have enough nurse teachers to take up sex education, expand training opportunities for them and that they develop educational materials. Considering the unbalance of the level of sex educations between boys and girls, I want to suggest that all boys and girls have sex education evenly and lead happy lives by correction irrational thought about sex, that is to say, sex discrimination, Sex education programs, especially of middle school students, should be reexamined if it is to give the students effective and profitable knowledge about sex. In addition, the government should establish a policy of adolescents' sex education to have healthy opinions of sex settled nationwide.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify 14 years of trends in sexual intercourse and sex education experiences among Korean adolescents from 2006 to 2019, based on online data. Methods: The study was a secondary analysis using the raw data of the 2nd (2006) through 15th (2019) Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. The data of 504,105 male adolescents and 473,053 female adolescents were used for the analysis. A complex-sample cross-analysis (Rao-Scott χ2 test) was performed to identify differences in sexual intercourse, sex education experience, and contraception over time, and logistic regression was performed to identify factors affecting adolescent sexual intercourse. Results: Sexual intercourse was found to increase as the year progressed. More high school students had sexual experiences than middle school students. Students who had ever smoked or drunk were more likely to have had sexual intercourse than the ones who had not. Students living with relatives or living in boarding houses or dormitories showed a higher rate of sexual intercourse than those living with family members. Students who never received sex education also showed a high rate of sexual intercourse. Conclusion: It is significant to grasp the trends in sexual intercourse, sex education experience, and contraception among adolescents over time. Providing adolescents with healthy sex education is becoming more and more important every year and health-related education including sex education that meets the need of teenagers should be incorporated into the regular curriculum.

  • Purpose: This study was to add to the understanding of sexual autonomy in college students in Korea. A descriptive survey design was used. Method: The participants in this study were 1,865 college students from 13 colleges, The questionnaire consisted of 15 items on general characteristics and 13 items measuring sexual autonomy. The SPSS 10.0 program was used for data analysis. Result: The global score for sexual autonomy was relatively high at 55.24 with a possible range of 13~65. The item on sexual autonomy with the highest score were, ‘I can prevent repeated STD infections’ and the item with the lowest sexual autonomy score was ‘I can speak clearly about having intercourse’. Factors related to sexual autonomy were identified as gender, parents’ attitude, year in university, experience with STD prevention and experience with pregnancy prevention. The score for sexual autonomy was lower in male college students (p=.000), students whose parents’ attitudes to sex were vague, first year students (p=.000), students who had little experience with prevention of STDs (p=.002), students who had little experience with prevention of pregnancy (p=.001).
