줌카메라를 활용한 빗물받이 연결관의 도로함몰 리스크 분석 (Risk analysis of road cave-in of storm sewer lateral using zoom camera)

  • It is known that sewer problems are the major causes of road cave-in. The objective of this study is to analyze the risk of road cave-in due to storm sewer laterals. We investigated 174 storm sewer laterals using a zoom camera at O-dong area in Seoul. The causes of road cave-in were classified into five cases: breakage of rigid pipe, deformation of flexible pipe, out of pipeline alignment, changing pipe material or changing pipe diameter, and a poor linkage between lateral and sewer. In addition, all defects were sorted into five grades based on the severity rating at storm sewer laterals. In this study, the most fragile pipe materials were found to be concrete pipe and polyethylene pipe, which recorded 2.3 and 1.69 defect rates. With regard to the causes of road cave-in, deformation of flexible pipe has a large influence on road cave-in at present. On a long-term basis, the two causes, out of pipeline alignment and a poor linkage between lateral and sewer, could have more influence on road cave-in.

유리 섬유와 뒤틀림 방지 밴드를 이용한 하수관거의 강도 및 뒤틀림 개선 방안 연구 (Improvement of strength and prevention of twist strain in sewer pipe using glass fiber and twist prevention band)

  • 노후화된 하수관거가 증가함에 따라 친환경적이며 효율적인 하수관거의 보수가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 유리섬유와 뒤틀림 방지 밴드를 이용한 하수관거의 강도 및 뒤틀림을 방지 할 수 있는 하수관거 보수 공법의 성능을 평가하였다. 기존의 하수관거 부분 보수 공법과 비교하여 인장 강도, 압축 강도 및 파괴하중이 증가하였다. 또한 기존에 고려되지 않던 뒤틀림 방지 효과도 확인하였으며, 경제성도 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 향 후 본 연구를 통해 검증한 유리섬유와 뒤틀림 방지 밴드를 이용한 하수관거 보수 공법은 친환경적 및 효과적인 하수관거 보수 공법으로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Sewer Pipes are not being managed for twenty years after laying. So, The life span of sewer pipes is on the decrease. For solve the life span decrease of sewer pipes, correct checking of questions and measure preparation are necessary through investigation in sewer pipes. This research investigated on the state of sewer pipes in the housing and industrial sites through CCTV(closed-circuit television) and device of digitalized strain investigation. And, a result is as follows. A results of PE, PVC, GRP, CSP investigations were found of pipe-transformation state by earth pressure and external load.

단말 오수관거 에서의 퇴적특성과 퇴적방지를 위한 설계법 고찰 (The Characteristics of Sediment and a Design Method for Preventing Sediment in the beginning Lateral Sewer)

  • The flow in the beginning lateral sewer can be characterized as intermittent and unsteady, and a moment maximum flow energy is required to transport fecal solids in the sewer. It is thus difficult to design to satisfy a minimum velocity criteria (0.6m/s), because of the substantially lower discharge in the beginning lateral sewer. This study is the result of a field survey, and aims to determine a design criteria for the minimum slope to prevent sediment in a lateral sewer. The survey performed on the two flat small catchments in Goyang-si consisting of D400mm hume-pipe, aimed to understand the manner in which the scope of a sewer slope has an effect on sediment in the beginning lateral sewer. The survey showed that the sewer slope below 3‰ had sedimentation of 88.7%, while the sewer slope of 3~6‰ had sedimentation of 47.8%. In addition, the minimum design slope was estimated to refer to the result of hydraulic experiments from Public Works Research Institute in Japan. Analysis showed that the D400mm hume pipe should be installed with a slope of 6.5‰ to prevent sediment in the beginning lateral sewer. For future installations, the study results showed that a D300mm plastic pipe requires a minimum slope of 3.5‰, and a D250mm plastic pipe requires a minimum slope of 3.3‰ in the beginning lateral sewer.

폴리에틸렌 하수관 연결용 전기발포융착 이음관에 관한 연구 (A Study of Electro-foaming Fusion Wrap for Polyethylene Sewer Pipe)

  • A electro-foaming fusion wrap fitting for polyethylene sewer pipe was built and foaming mechanism has been studied. A foaming sheet, supporting sheet and clamping band is assembled into a all-in-one structured electro-foaming fusion wrap fitting. To specify foaming and fusion of electro-foaming fusion wrap for PE sewer pipe, series of fusion tests were performed in various conditions. A parallel plate compression test up to 50 % of inner diameter deflection has been performed to check integrity of fusion quality and it was found that there were no visible signs of crack in wrapped area of fitting. Also air tightness test based on KS M 3511-2 has been performed to evaluate perfectness of wrap fusion quality and we found there were no pressure drop up to 10 times higher value than KS standard regulation.

Standardization and Method Selection for the Trenchless Repair Technology of Sewer using Cured-in-place Pipe

  • The trenchless entire repair technology (TERT) have many different names depending on the companies, and they have the same or similar methods as well as materials. In addition, there was quiet difficulty in application of field working and even confuse to classify for new TERT, while application criteria of TERT is not listed systematically. This study proposed standardization and method for TERT affecting by pipe condition, working materials, working method, specification/quantity per unit according to field condition, strange affairs and others. Determination criteria of defective sewer pipe has proposed to effective method which modify a criteria between Ministry of Environment and Seoul Metropolitan City. A Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) is suitable for TERT, and the design criteria for the entire broken pipe are proposed when the pipe itself deforms more than 10%. A check lists are specimen preparing, hardening site made by clamped mold, numbers, flexural and tensile property, water leak and desquamation test, and have to use material property of minimum CIPP value depend on ISO 11296-4, ISO 11297-4, KS M3550-7 and KS M3550-9.

기존 합류식 하수관거에 CSO 제어를 위한 하수분리관의 설치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Installation of a Sewage Separator Pipe inside an Existing Combined Sewer System for CSO Control)

  • 유역으로부터 발생되는 강우유출수가 하수관거로 유입되는 것을 방지하기 위하여 별도의 우수전용관을 설치하는 것은 많은 비용이 수반되며 현장 시공여건에 따라 대단히 어려운 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서는 교통 및 도로 여건상 시공이 어려운 곳에 경제적인 접근방법으로 기존의 하수관거에 별도의 하수분리관을 설치하는 단순하면서 혁신적인 방안에 관한 연구결과를 제시하였다. 실험실 규모의 하수관거 실험장치를 통하여 얻은 결과에 따르면 기존의 관거를 하수 및 우수전용 공간으로 분리할 경우 관내유속을 증가시켜TSS, TCOD, TN, TP 퇴적율을 각각 74-88%, 79-90%, 75%, and 67-90%, 정도 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 3차원 수리유동 모의결과 하수분리관의 설치가 직선구간, 접속구간, 곡선 및 낙차구간에서 하수의 흐름 및 유속분포에 미치는 영향이 미미한 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 접속구간에 분리관을 설치할 경우 접속면 지역은 유입되는 강우유출수의 운동에너지에 의한 구조물 훼손을 방지하기 위하여 보강해야 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 곡선부에서 분리관은 곡선부의 안쪽보다는 외곽쪽에 설치하는 것이 구조적으로 안정 적인 것으로 분석된다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 폭 3 m 제원을 갖는 하수관거에는 약 0.4 m × 0.4 m 분리관 설치가 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

와이블 분포함수를 이용한 하수관로 노후도 추정 (Estimation of sewer deterioration by Weibull distribution function)

  • Sewer deterioration models are needed to forecast the remaining life expectancy of sewer networks by assessing their conditions. In this study, the serious defect (or condition state 3) occurrence probability, at which sewer rehabilitation program should be implemented, was evaluated using four probability distribution functions such as normal, lognormal, exponential, and Weibull distribution. A sample of 252 km of CCTV-inspected sewer pipe data in city Z was collected in the first place. Then the effective data (284 sewer sections of 8.15 km) with reliable information were extracted and classified into 3 groups considering the sub-catchment area, sewer material, and sewer pipe size. Anderson-Darling test was conducted to select the most fitted probability distribution of sewer defect occurrence as Weibull distribution. The shape parameters (β) and scale parameters (η) of Weibull distribution were estimated from the data set of 3 classified groups, including standard errors, 95% confidence intervals, and log-likelihood values. The plot of probability density function and cumulative distribution function were obtained using the estimated parameter values, which could be used to indicate the quantitative level of risk on occurrence of CS3. It was estimated that sewer data group 1, group 2, and group 3 has CS3 occurrence probability exceeding 50% at 13th-year, 11th-year, and 16th-year after the installation, respectively. For every data groups, the time exceeding the CS3 occurrence probability of 90% was also predicted to be 27th- to 30th-year after the installation.

  • As the Sewer Pipe is transformed by the expansion of life cycle as a result of the technology development, flexible pipe is developed by the transformed environmental conditions. To change pipe design, three phases(compaction ration - inner deflection ratio - ring stiffness) should be considered in design conditions. The input data of pipe design were provided by compaction-inner deflection ratio-ring stiffness. M oreover, The guidelines of sewerage pipes should be considered by flexible pipes design criteria.

하수관거 및 정화조에서 발생하는 악취물질이 복합악취에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Correlation of Odorous Compounds and Odor Substance occurring in Septic Tank and Sewer Pipe)

  • This study aims to analysis correlation in septic tank and sewer pipe between odor substances and complex odor. For the analysis, convert odor substances to odor intensity, and estimate the effect of odor substances on complex odor. As a result, both Hydrogen sulfide and Methyl mercaptane of specified offensive odor substances accounted for 29 percent of the effect of odor substances on complex odor. Hydrogen sulfide and Methyl mercaptane are major cause of odor from septic tank and sewer pipe. The result of this study is suggested to be used as a preliminary data for research on analysis complex odor and odor substances.
