  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a new maximum power point tracking(MPPT) using fuzzy set theory for air conditioning system. Fuzzy algorithm based on linguistic rules describing the operator's control strategy is applied to control step-up chopper for MPPT. Fuzzy algorithm is applied to control boost MPPT converter by temperature compensation effect with 8 bit single chip 8051 microcontroller. In this paper, temperature compensation(Becom Transducer : pf-T type) range is $-40^{\circ}C{\sim}+100^{\circ}C$.

Study on Vertical Dynamics Compensation for Wobbling Effect Mitigation of Electrostatically Levitated Gyroscope

  • We present a study of vertical dynamics control of an electrostatically levitated gyro-accelerometer considering the wobbling effect and propose a tilt stabilization method with newly introduced control electrodes. Typically, a rotor in a vacuum rotates at high velocity, which may create a drift rate and lead to displacement instability due to the tilt angle of the rotor. To analyze this, first we set up a vertical dynamic equation and determined simulation results regarding displacement control. After deriving an equation for drift dynamics, we analyzed the drift rate of the rotor and the wobbling effect for displacement control quantitatively. Then, we designed new sub-electrodes for moment control that will decrease the drift amplitude of wobbling dynamics. Finally, a simulation study demonstrated that the vertical displacement control with the wobbling compensation electrodes mitigated the rotor's drift rate, showing the effectiveness of the newly proposed control electrodes.

  • Linear motor stage is a useful device in precision engineering field because of its simple power transmission mechanism and accurate positioning. Even though linear motor stage shows fine positioning accuracy along travel axis, geometric dependent errors which relay on machining and assembling accuracy should be addressed to increase total positioning performances. In this paper, we suggests a cost effective yaw error compensation servo-system which is mounted on platform of the stage and nullify travel position dependent yaw error. This paper also provides a method of designing a sliding mode control which is robust to existing friction disturbance and model uncertainties. The reachability condition of slinding mode control for the yaw error compensating servo-system has been established. From some experimental results by using an experimental set-up, the sliding mode control showed its effective in disturbance rejection and its performance was superior to conventional linear controls.

  • In this paper, we prevent a display quality drop for image of characteristics brightness ununiformity depend on LED use to LED vision. It is about that method also a control system development equipped with brightness compensation function of LED vision which is done easily for LED set up of LED vision. Generally, It is calculate driving current value is attended by each brightness to brightness characteristics mathematical function establish by "Y=aX+b", When is doing brightness value for "Y", driving current value for "X", brightness compensation value by using time for "b", characteristics value for "a" ground with characteristics curve of LED. So much, First It is create brightness data of each pixel take a photograph red, green and blue of LED vision. Second It is get average error about each pixel which get average brightness value of entire. Last, It is handle a complicated for about gradationally regulation to color and brightness of image send to LED vision. Also It raise the whole average brightness value of vision adjust for "b" value to solve brightness drop problem of LED using the long time.

연안어선어업 피해율 산정을 위한 원가행태에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Cost Behavior in Coastal Fishery)

  • It is necessary to set up a standard of estimation for annual unit price of sale and cost, damage rate for calculating compensation against fishery damage objectively. Two items on the unit price and cost have regulations but the damage rate has not, so it may occurred some problems such as reasonability and balance because the estimation should be handling by an appraiser's knowledge and experience. This study has analyzed using Regression model and searched variable costs and fixed costs about each items appraisers to operate in the present. It is compare profit damage index is calculated by an estimated model and an appraised example. This analysis showed highly 23-30% estimated model more than appraised example. It means the overestimation for fishery damage. This difference has caused by limited data, lack of sample, much difference in the standard deviation, and has not classified each kind of business and weight of coastal fishery, the overestimation more than what expected. This study has analyzed that the applied rate of fixed and variable cost in relation to the compensation in the cost of coastal fishery is very valuable.

항공운송인의 책임제한의 철폐 (The Collapse of Warsaw Liability Limitation)

  • Air transportation industry was established on a basis of liability limitation from the outset. Many treaties, however, had to be drafted since 1960' s to meet the need of the Unites States, who argued full compensation without limitation like other torts cases, but most of them were in vain. The Japanese Initiative in 1992, though being aimed to lower a level of compensation in air crash cases to that of other transportation accidents, showed a way to the U.S. how to solve the issue. Instead of obtaining an multilateral agreement through ICAO, the U.S. persuaded IATA to organize intercarrier consensus for voluntary waive the limitation. IATA succeeded in adopting Intercarrier Liability Agreement in 1995, in which carriers agreed not to use Warsaw limitation and accepted strict liability up to 100,000SDRs. Through a series of negotiation to implement the Intercarrier agreement, US DOT tried to insert a domicile standard provision to the agreement which enable US victims to be compensated according to the law of the U.S. regardless of the situation. IATA opposed the intent aggressively. The U.S. set back to the starting point remaining issues for further discussion. The liability limitation under the Warsaw system is being collapsed. It is the result of a simple logic; liability limitation cannot be maintained without appropriate compensation.

  • Stabilization error of target aiming systems mounted on moving vehicles is an important performance because the error directly affects hit Probability. In a heavy load targetaiming system, the disturbance torque comes from mass unbalance and linear acceleration is a main source of stabilization error. This study suggests an experimental design method of disturbance feedforward compensation control to improve the stabilization performance of heavy load target aiming systems. The filtered_x least square(FxLMS) algorithm is used to estimate the compensator coefficients adaptively. The proposed control is applied to a simple experimental set-up which simulates dynamic characteristics of a real target aiming system. The feasibility of the proposedtechnique is illustrated, along with results of experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 해상 통신 시스템인 SANET (Ship Ad-hoc NETwork)의 우선 전송 규격 파라미터를 설정하고, VHF 대역의 실측 해상 채널을 분석하여 SANET 채널 모델링을 수행한다. 또한, 프리앰블, guard time, 파일롯을 포함한 단일 및 다중 반송파 시스템을 위한 프레임 구조를 제안하며, 제안된 프레임 구조 하에서 채널 보상과 채널 부호화 기법에 의한 SANET 시스템의 BER (Bit Error Rate) 성능을 평가 및 분석한다. 결과로 ${\pi}$/4-DQPSK와 ${\pi}$/8-D8PSK를 적용한 단일 반송파 SANET의 경우, differential 변조방식 채택에 의하여 별도의 채널 보상을 하지 않으며, 부호화 이득을 얻을 수 있는 컨볼루션 부호화를 적용하기로 한다. 다중 반송파 SANET의 경우에는 해상환경, 파도에 의한 선박의 움직임 등에 의한 K값의 변화를 고려하여 시스템의 성능을 최대화 하도록 채널 보상 기법과 컨볼루션 부호화를 적용한다.

항공기에 의하여 발생된 제3자 손해배상에 관한 로마협약 개정안에 대한 고찰 - 불법방해배상협약안과 일반위험협약안을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Revised Draft of Rome Convention on Compensation for Damage Caused by Aircraft to Third Parties - With Respect to the Draft Unlawful Interference Compensation Convention and the Draft General Risks Convention -)

  • The cumulative result of the work by the ICAO Secretariat, the Secretariat Study Group and the Council Special Group on the Modernization of the Rome Convention of 1952 are two draft Conventions, namely: "Draft Convention on Compensation for Damage Caused by Aircraft to Third Parties, in case of Unlawful Interference", and "Draft Convention on Compensation for Damage Caused by Aircraft to Third Parties" The core provisions of the former draft Convention are as follows: The liability of the operator is strict, that is, without the necessity of proof of fault. It would be liable for damage sustained by third parties on condition only that the damage was caused by an aircraft in flight(Article 3). However, such liability is caped based on the weight of the aircraft(Article 4). It is envisaged to create an independent organization called the Supplementary Compensation Mechanism, with the principle purpose to pay compensation to persons suffering damage in the territory of a State Party, and to provide financial support(Article 8). Compensation shall be paid by the SCM to the extent that the total amount of damages exceeds the Article 4 limits(Article 19). The main issues on the farmer draft Convention are relating to breaking away from Montreal Convention 1999, no limits on individual claims but a global limitation on air carrier liability, insurance coverage, cap of operators' strict liability, and Supplementary Compensation Mechanism. The core provisions of the latter draft Convention are as follows: the liability of the operator is strict, up to a certain threshold tentatively set at 250,000 to 500,000 SDRs. Beyond that, the operator is liable for all damages unless it proves that such damage were not due to its negligence or that the damages were solely due to the negligence of another person(Article 3). The provisions relating to the SCM and compensation thereunder do not operate under this Convention, as the operator is potentially for the full amount of damages caused. The main issues on the latter draft Convention are relating to liability limit of operator, and definition of general risks. In conclusion, we urge ICAO to move forward expeditiously on the draft Convention to establish a third party liability and compensation system that can stand ready to protect both third party victims and the aviation industry before another 9/11-scale event occurs.

영구자석동기발전기 풍력시스템의 하드웨어 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of Hardware Simulator for PMSG Wind Power System)

  • This paper describes development of hardware simulator for the PMSG wind power system, which was designed considering wind characteristic, blade characteristic and blade inertia compensation. The simulator consists of three major parts, such as wind turbine model using induction motor, PMSG generator, converter-inverter set. and control system. The turbine simulator generates torque and speed signals for a specific wind turbine with respect to given wind speed. This torque and speed signals are scaled down to fit the input of 2kW PMSG. The PMSG-side converter operates to track the maximum power point, and the grid-side inverter controls the active and reactive power supplied to the grid. The operational feasibility was verified by computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC, and the implementation feasibility was confirmed through experimental works with a hardware set-up.
