  • Traitor Tracing schemes are broadcast encryption systems where at least one of the traitors who were implicated in the construction of a pirate decoder can be traced. This traceability is required in various contents delivery system like satellite broadcast, DMB, pay-TV, DVD and so on. In this paper, we propose a public key traitor tracing scheme with key-update method. If the system manager can update a secret key which is stored in an authorized decode, it makes a pirate decoder useless by updating a secret key A pirate decoder which cannot update a secret key does not decrypt contents in next session or during tracing a traitor, this scheme has merits which will make a pirate decoder useless, therefore this scheme raises the security to a higher level.

  • Since the error control problem is a critical and sensitive issue in the one-way network, we can adopt a forward error correction code method or data retransmission method based on the response of reception result. In this paper, we propose error control method and continuous data transmission protocol in the one-way network which has unidirectional data transmission channel and special channel to receive only the response of reception result. Furthermore we present data encryption and key update mechanism which is based on the pre-shared key distribution scheme and suggest some ASDU(Application Service Data Unit) formats to implement it in the one-way network.

  • A non-interactive key exchange protocol provides an efficiency of overall system by eliminating additional communication. However, traditional non-interactive key exchange protocols without updating a private key fail to provide forward secrecy, since there is no usage of ephemeral key for randomness of session key. In 2012, Sang et al. proposed a certificateless non-interactive key exchange(CL-NIKE) protocol, but they do not prove the security of the protocol and it does not provide forward secrecy. In this paper, we propose a new CL-NIKE protocol and it's security model. Then we prove the proposed protocol is secure under the security model based on DBDH(Decision Bilinear Diffie-Hellman) assumption. Moreover, we propose a CL-NIKE protocol with forward secrecy which updates user's private key by using multilinear map and prove it's security.

  • The smart grid system has emerged to maximize energy efficiency through real-time information exchange between power providers and consumers by combining information technology and power supply systems. The authentication schemes using blockchain in a smart grid system have been proposed, which utilize an edge server's architecture to collect and store electric power-related information and process data between a central cloud server and smart grid-IoT devices. Although authentication schemes are being proposed to enhance security in the smart grid environment, many vulnerabilities are still reported. This paper presents a new mutual authentication scheme to guarantee users' privacy and anonymity in a smart grid based on edge computing using blockchain. In the proposed scheme, we use the smart contract for the key management's efficiency, such as updating and discarding key materials. Finally, we prove that the proposed scheme not only securely establishes a session key between the smart grid-IoT device of the user and the edge server but also guarantees anonymity.
