In this paper, an improved utility-based cross-layer dynamic subcarrier allocation (DSA) algorithm is proposed for single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, which adopts adaptive service rate control (ASRC) to eliminate the service rate waste and improve the spectral efficiency in heterogeneous network including non-real-time traffic and real-time traffic. In this algorithm, furthermore, a first in first out (FIFO) queuing model with finite space is established on the cross-layer scheduling framework. Simulation results indicate that by taking the service rate constraint as the necessary condition for optimality, the ASRC algorithm can effectively eliminate the service rate waste without compromising the scheduling performance. Moreover, the ASRC algorithm is able to further improve the quality of service (QoS) performance and transmission throughput by contributing an attractive performance trade-off between real-time and non-real-time applications.

Pervasive computing and Internet of Things (IoT) have recently received considerable interest to deploy solutions for the future Internet. Smart environments are integrated with Semantic Web to provide context-awareness to the processed information. Self-learning techniques have been adopted within smart solutions for efficient retrieval of data but do not process data with privacy parameters for in-place authorization. To overcome this issue, we present a novel approach of deploying access control as a service mechanism within Semantic Web based smart environment by using eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML). The proposed XACML as a Service (XACMLaaS) approach offers fine-grained access control for protecting information within smart environment. In this paper, we have defined mathematical rules for each components of proposed access control service layer. These rules are for implementation of access control using XACML. The proposed approach allows the adaptation of authorization of information at component level and provides scalable solution for authorization policies and rule enforcement within smart environment.

In this paper, an efficient Adaptive quality-of-service (QoS) traffic control scheme with priority scheduling is proposed for the multimedia traffic transmission over wireless access networks. The objective of the proposed adaptive QoS control (AQC) scheme is to realize end-to-end QoS, to be scalable without the excess signaling process, and to adapt dynamically to the network traffic state according to traffic flow characteristics. Here, the reservation scheme can be used over the wireless access network in order to get the per-flow guarantees necessary for implementation of some kinds of multimedia applications. The AQC model is based on both differentiated service model with different lier hop behaviors and priority scheduling one. It consists of several various routers, access points, and bandwidth broker and adopts the IEEE 802.1 le wireless radio technique for wireless access interface. The AQC scheme includes queue management and packet scheduler to transmit class-based packets with different per hop behaviors (PHBs). Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed AQC scheme.

In this paper, an unmanned delivery service using drone was proposed and verified the feasibility. The multicopter has GPS for autopilot and a camera for remote control by human operator. The gripper for manipulation of delivery object was designed and evaluated. The multicopter flies to a given position automatically based on GPS, and approaches to the prepared delivery desk by remote control of human operator using the received image from the multicopter. GPS sensor verification and experimental PID tuning were performed to ensure the flight stability. The flight tests were carried out to verify the feasibility of delivery service.

This study examines effect in customer satisfaction of the emotional intelligence of members at service providing department in the hotel; A case of five star hotels in Dajeon Research hypotheses were developed based on previous literature, and data were collected from 350 employees working at the hotel restaurant service business located in Daejeon, ROK, were investigated herein The collected data were then analysed using frequence reliability For this research analysis, a self-recording method was used where and examiner explains the survey and respondents writhen down their answers to survey questions Statistical processing in this study was done through data cidubg and data cleaning then with the SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science)v. 18.0. This result the emotional intelligence of service-providing employees at food service department of hotel was found to have a positive effect on customer satisfaction via understanding of others and emotional control. And the understanding of oneself, understanding of others and emotional control in emotional intelligence had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Emotional control, and emotioal use were found to affect organizational commitment positively.

This paper introduces the development of a range sensor based integrated navigation system for a multi-functional indoor service robot, called PSR (Public Service Robot System). The proposed navigation system includes hardware integration for sensors and actuators, the development of crucial navigation algorithms like mapping, localization, and path planning, and planning scheme such as error/fault handling. Major advantages of the proposed system are as follows: 1) A range sensor based generalized navigation system. 2) No need for the modification of environments. 3) Intelligent navigation-related components. 4) Framework supporting the selection of multiple behaviors and error/fault handling schemes. Experimental results are presented in order to show the feasibility of the proposed navigation system. The result of this research has been successfully applied to our three service robots in a variety of task domains including a delivery, a patrol, a guide, and a floor cleaning task.

Receiving medical services abroad is an event that involves a high level of risk and stress for most people. This study proposes and empirically examines perceived control as a factor that has a potential to reduce the stress associated with overseas medical experience and enhance satisfaction with it. Based on the research findings in environmental psychology, one's perceived control was divided into cognitive control, behavior control, and decision control. A research model and a set of hypotheses were constructed to investigate the effect of each control on satisfaction and word-of-mouth communications among consumers who had overseas medical service experiences. The data collection was conducted through an online survey of 220 Chinese consumers who had visited Korea as plastic medicine tourists. Satisfaction with their service experience was significantly affected by both behavioral control and decisional control, but not by cognitive control. Thus, Chinese medical tourists prefer to maintain the belief that they are in charge of major decisions associated with the medical procedure, and that the results of the medical procedure will have personally desirable consequences. In addition, satisfaction experienced by Chinese consumers with overseas medical services had a significant impact on their word-of-mouth activities. Based on the research results, a set of academic and practical implications were derived.
