The characteristics of Telecommunication Industry encompass not only hardware and software but also the service aspect of them. One way to improve the industry up to the international level in terms of hardware and software as well as service aspect is to comply with tile TL 9000 standard, which was established by QUEST Forum, the group consisted of U.S. communication industry, based on the ISO 9000 Quality Management System. In this study, design, establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality system for domestic telecommunication industry are thoroughly investigated based on TL 9000 standard, with its LCM(Life Cycle Model) model and measurements. Also, Process Approach is suggested to help the industry realize the system to meet its specific needs. In addition, specific examples with the successful certification to TL 9000 standard are presented.
The enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is a standardized and advanced business process that many companies are implementing now-a-days through customization. However, it affects the efficiency of operations as these customizations are based on uniqueness. In this study, we analyzed the impact of customized modules and processing time on customer service request (CSR), by utilizing the stacked CSR data during the construction and operation of ERP, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As a result, a positive correlation was found between unit companies and the length of ERP implementation; ERP modules and the length of ERP implementation; ERP modules and unit companies; and the type of ERP implementation and ERP module. In terms of CSR, a comparison of CSR processing time of CBO (customized business object) module and STD (standard) module revealed that while the five modules did not display statistically significant differences, one module demonstrated a statistically very significant difference. In sum, the analysis indicates that the CBO-type CSR and its processing cost are higher than those of STD-type CSR. These results indicate that companies planning to implement an ERP system should consider the ERP module and their customization ratio and level. It not only gives the theoretical validity that should be considered as an indicator for decision making when ERP is constructed, but also its implications on the impact of processing time suggesting that the maintenance costs and project scheduling of ERP software must also be considered. This study is the first to present the degree of impact on the operation and maintenance of customized modules based on actual data and can provide a theoretical basis for applying SW change ratio in the cost estimation of ERP system maintenance.
Management systems for electronic library have been developed on the basis of Client/Server or ASP framework in domestic market for a long time. Therefore, both service provider and user suffer from their high cost and effort in management, maintenance, and repairing of software as well as hardware. Recently in addition, mobile devices like smartphone and tablet PC are frequently used as terminal devices to access computers through the Internet or other networks, sophisticatedly customized or personalized interface for n-screen service became more important issue these days. In this paper, we propose a new scheme of integrated management system for electronic library based on SaaS and Web Standard. We design and implement the proposed scheme applying Electronic Cabinet Guidelines for Web Standard and Universal Code System. Hosted application management style and software on demand style service models based on SaaS are basically applied to develop the management system. Moreover, a newly improved concept of duplication check algorithm in a hierarchical evaluation process is presented and a personalized interface based on web standard is applied to implement the system. Algorithms of duplication check for journal, volume/number, and paper are hierarchically presented with their logic flows. Total framework of our development obeys the standard feature of Electronic Cabinet Guidelines offered by Korea government so that we can accomplish standard of application software, quality improvement of total software, and reusability extension. Scope of our development includes core services of library automation system such as acquisition, list-up, loan-and-return, and their related services. We focus on interoperation compatibility between elementary sub-systems throughout complex network and structural features. Reanalyzing and standardizing each part of the system under the concept on the cloud of service, we construct an integrated development environment for generating, test, operation, and maintenance. Finally, performance analyses are performed about resource usability of server, memory amount used, and response time of server etc. As a result of measurements fulfilled over 5 times at different test points and using different data, the average response time is about 62.9 seconds for 100 clients, which takes about 0.629 seconds per client on the average. We can expect this result makes it possible to operate the system in real-time level proof. Resource usability and memory occupation are also good and moderate comparing to the conventional systems. As total verification tests, we present a simple proof to obey Electronic Cabinet Guidelines and a record of TTA authentication test for topics about SaaS maturity, performance, and application program features.

Measuring sensor, equipment, ICT facilities and their software have relatively short life time comparing to constructional structure so that we should exchange or fix them continuously in the process of maintenance and management. In this paper, we propose a novel design of integrated maintenance, management, and measuring monitoring system applying the concept of mobile cloud. For the sake of disaster prevention for constructional structures such as bridge, tunnel, and other traditional buildings in the village of local heritage, we analyze status of these structures in the long term or short term period as well as disaster situations. Collecting data based on mobile cloud and analyzing future expectations based on probabilistic and statistical techniques, we implement our integrated monitoring system for constructional structures to solve these existing problems. Final results of this design and implementation are basically applied to the monitoring system for more than 10,000 structures spread over national land in Korea. In addition, we can specifically apply the monitoring system presented here to a bridge of timber structure in Asan Oeam Village and a traditional house in Andong Hahoe Village to watch them from possible disasters. Total procedure of system design and implementation as well as development of the platform LinkSaaS and application services of monitoring functions implemented on the platform. We prove a good performance of our system by fulfilling TTA authentication test, web accommodation test, and operation test using real measuring data.
At present, the EDI systems are indispensable software in port logistics industry. Currently, a monopolistic VAN/EDI service provider operates the EDI services. The current EDI client software has the 2-tier fat client/server architecture. However, the current EDI software is lack of Web interface and causes lots of cost for maintenance. Therefore, a variety of implementation architecture has been being tried by using script, XML and distributed object-oriented technology. Web/EDI and XML/EDI are the new EDI systems, However, the EDI systems have some limitations such as speed. This study intends to compare the variety implementation architecture for the EDI systems in the users' perspective and explore the strong and weak points of each architecture. We compared the EDI systems based on our experience of more than 2-years of implementation project for the EDI systems of port logistics. We categorized the EDI systems as client application EDI, Web EDI using script, XML/EDI, and 3-tier distributed object-oriented EDI system. We compared them with criteria such as speed, program maintenance, easiness of implementation and usage, security, and load balancing and fail-over. Finally we discuss the direction of optimal EDI system architecture for the future.

Most vehicles are in the form of maintenance when a problem occurs by the user himself or herself. During maintenance, users are not able to operate the car while it is being serviced, and if the target vehicle is a revenue-generating vehicle, they will have to bear economic losses. Collecting vehicle information in real time, identifying problems that could arise with a vehicle based on the collected big data and providing advance service rather than after-sales service can help secure vehicle operation and reduce economic loss. Thus, in this thesis, a platform was designed to design IoT-based gateways, collect real-time vehicle information, and organize big data to provide vehicle information in real time.
The purpose of this study is to improve the calculation method of the software operation pricing proposed by the software business price calculation guide from 'input manpower method' to 'rate calculation method'. The software operation pricing of the input manpower method is not objectively calculated in the domestic IT outsourcing situation where the statistical data based on the activity based estimating is insufficient and it is decided by agreement between the owner and the client. In addition, there was no standard for adjusting the productivity according to the characteristics of the operation service. In order to improve this, an operational correction factor item that can affect the software operation productivity was selected based on foreign and domestic standards, and it was confirmed through the first questionnaire to IT operation managers. In order to determine the level of difficulty of the fixed operational correction factors, the operational correction factor using AHP technique was confirmed through a second questionnaire for pairwise comparison. The operational difficulty calculation table was developed with reference to COCOMO and ITIL standards. Finally, we propose a new pricing scheme that reflects the operating rate. Regression analysis was carried out by collecting the data of the domestic public institutions on the estimated cost and the actual cost calculated from the new rate method software operation pricing. The results of the regression analysis show that the estimated cost and the actual cost are related to each other. Mean magnitude of relative error(MMRE) and PRED[25] analysis were added for accuracy analysis. MMRE and PRED also showed satisfactory results, confirming the possibility of replacing the rate method software operation pricing.
In this paper, we propose a steering concept that considers overall aspects in the CBSD (Component-Based Software Development) environments. While many researches which are concentrated on using components, market promotion and component development itself seem to be insufficient. To overcome this problem, we introduce a brokerage concept called“Value-Added Brokerage Concept”that provides the following three services:1) domain architecture-based component promotion, 2) intelligent component search, and 3) white-box service. Domain architecture-based component promotion facilitates balancing component production and promoting architecture-level large scale reuse. Intelligent component search enables to overcome the long time search and selection problem. Finally, white-box service is for solving maintenance problems, which is one of the most critical problem in the CBSD environments. Especially, we expect this proposed concept would be well adapted to our national environments.

The firmware upgrade, which is remotely performed, is an essential function in smart metering or AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure). In other words, the AMI software and firmware can be switched for maintaining and improvement without replacement of H/W devices in AMI environment. Also, if number and type of devices are increase, the demand of remote update service will be increased. Through the firmware upgrade service remotely, the electric power corporation may be able to benefit various fields. For example, there are to adapt more easily in many environments, real-time service and to cut maintenance costs. In this paper, we proposed to design an international level FUMS(Firmware Upgrade Management System) which includes requirement function, architecture and protocol related with DCU, Smart Meter.
As the cloud-based ICT(Information & Communication Technology) infrastructure matures, the existing monolithic software development method is evolving into a micro-service structure based on cloud native computing. To develop and operate the services efficiently under the cloud native environment, DevOps-based application development plans through MSA(Micro Service Architecture) design based are essential. A cloud native environment is an approach to developing and running applications that take advantage of cloud computing models such as automation of source distribution, container-based virtualization, application scalability, resource efficiency, and flexible maintenance through object independence. To implement this approach, the utilization of key elements such as DevOps, continuous delivery, micro service, and containers is essential, but there are not enough previous studies on case analyses or application methods of these key elements. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the cases of application development in cloud native environment and propose the optimized application development process and development method through small and medium-sized SI projects.
