Design of Service Management System based on Context Information (상황정보를 기반으로 한 서비스 관리 시스템 설계)

  • There has been an increase in the interest of applications that use a combination of both pervasive computing technology and context-aware technology. This application based on the development environment along with the support of developing context-aware applications is now being researched thoroughly and by many. The service management system provides services that are needed for context-aware applications. This system is an integral part of the developmental environment of context-aware applications. But there is a restrictive matching based on ontology that uses simple syntactic matching or a plain type of service used in previous researches. And there is also no consideration for context-aware information. Also, if the user is unable to find a service that is satisfactory, or is a service which a user does not desire, they may use a service which is composed of other existing services. This paper proposes a service management system based on context-aware information. The proposed system enables the accurate finding of services by considering semantic matching methods based on ontology and context-aware information. If the user does not find a service that is helpful in the service registry, it can provide the service list to enable other existing service compositions, by providing the functionality of these service compositions. As a result, the experiment of the system proposed has shown that the system properly supported the service discovery based on context-aware information and service composition.

  • The U-library service is a user-oriented library service through which users, after browsing and making reservations using the Internet and smartphones, can borrow and return library materials at an unmanned circulation system located in places, such as subway stations, without visiting the library. However, the U-library service is still in the early stages both quantitatively and qualitatively. In that, this study, in order to enhance our understanding of the U-library service, conceptualizes the unmanned circulation system, investigates current situation by examining and analyzing some U-library service cases, and pinpoints some problems while making some suggestions for improvement.

A Study on the Factors Influencing the Satisfaction of Online Service System on the International Research Cooperation

  • Recently, as the pandemic COVID-19 has been spread worldwide, international research cooperation has come to the fore to overcome the crisis and develop treatments. Currently, in Korea, with the support from the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation, the International Research Cooperation Information Center operates an online service system for international research cooperation as a venue for sharing results among international research cooperation researchers and invigorating such research. However, since Korea's performance in international research cooperation is still poor, actively pursuing measures to improve professionalism and diversity based on international cooperation is deemed necessary. Therefore, in this study, factors influencing the level of satisfaction with international research cooperation online service systems were identified, and measures to increase the satisfaction of international research cooperation online service were proposed based on the analysis results. Design of the system quality factors, accuracy and consistency of the information quality factors, and professionalism of the service quality factors were verified to have a significant effect on the satisfaction with international research cooperation online service systems. Accordingly, further strengthening the aspects of design, accuracy, consistency, and professionalism was proposed as a way to increase the satisfaction of international research cooperation online service systems.

Evolution of Korean Maritime DGPS System to High Accuracy Nationwide DGPS Service

  • According to the recommendation of International Maritime Organization, the Ministry Of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF) of Korea provides the real time Differential Global Positioning System service using maritime radio beacon from 1999. Due to the benefit of DGPS service, the need of this system is increased from various user groups for acquiring the better accuracy and integrity. Therefore, MOMAF has extended their service to inland by installing the additional 6 DGPS stations. This nationwide DGPS service will be fully deployed at 2007. In addition to the extension of service area, MOMAF has a plan to upgrade their nationwide DGPS to High Accuracy Nationwide DGPS (HANDGPS). The planned HANDGPS service of Korea will be a kind of long range RTK or Wide Area RTK techniques to provide under 1m accuracy and start their service from 2009 using the various broadcasting and communication media like as radio beacon, Wibro, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, High Speed Packet Data Access. The introduction of nationwide DGPS system of Korea and its evolution plan will be addressed in this paper. The research activities related with HANDGPS in Korea is also presented.

Efficient Server Virtualization using Grid Service Infrastructure

  • The core services in cloud computing environment are SaaS (Software as a Service), Paas (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). Among these three core services server virtualization belongs to IaaS and is a service technology to reduce the server maintenance expenses. Normally, the primary purpose of sever virtualization is building and maintaining a new well functioning server rather than using several existing servers, and in improving the various system performances. Often times this presents an issue in that there might be a need to increase expenses in order to build a new server. This study intends to use grid service architecture for a form of server virtualization which utilizes the existing servers rather than introducing a new server. More specifically, the proposed system is to enhance system performance and to reduce the corresponding expenses, by adopting a scheduling algorithm among the distributed servers and the constituents for grid computing thereby supporting the server virtualization service. Furthermore, the proposed server virtualization system will minimize power management by adopting the sleep severs, the subsidized servers and the grid infrastructure. The power maintenance expenses for the sleep servers will be lowered by utilizing the ACPI (Advanced Configuration & Power Interface) standards with the purpose of overcoming the limits of server performance.

The Effect of Information System Quality on Customer Value and Satisfaction in Hotel Comparison Sites

  • In this study, variables were constructed based on prior research to examine the impact of information system quality (information quality, system quality, service quality), customer value and satisfaction in hotel comparison site. The samples consist of 205 survey data drawn from hotel comparison site users. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 21.0. According to results of the reliability and validity test, all were found reliable, and all items were included. The results are as follows: first, Among the information system quality (information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site, the information quality and service quality have positive effects on customer value. Second, the information system quality(information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Third, the customer value of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction.

Suggestion of Healthcare Home Service System Based on Distributed Object Group Framework (분산객체그룹 프레임워크 기반의 헬스케어 홈 서비스 시스템의 제안)

  • This paper suggests a healthcare home service system based on the distributed object group framework that can not only provide healthcare application services using the information obtained from the physical healthcare sensors and devices, and but also monitor and control these services remotely. The distributed object group framework supports the object group service, the interaction service between object groups and the real-time service in order to execute the healthcare application. Here object group means the unit of logical grouped objects or healthcare sensors and devices for a service. Our suggested system consists of 3 layers. The first layer presents the physical sensors and devices for healthcare, as a physical layer. The second layer lays the distributed object group framework, and the third layer, the upper's one, implements healthcare applications based on lower layers. With healthcare applications providing for this system, we implemented the location tracking service, the health information service and the titrating environment service. Also the integrated executing results of these services can be monitored and controlled via remote desktop systems or PDAs.

Service Quality Criteria for Voice Services over a HSDPA System (HSDPA 시스템을 통한 음성 서비스의 측정 기반 품질 기준 수립)

  • This paper covers the service quality of packet-based voice service that is provided over a high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) system. Using the measurement software that has been developed in the course of preparing a advanced service quality management scheme for the packet-based voice service over a wireless network[2][3], a huge scale of experiment is conducted to measure the real quality of the voice service. Based on our analysis of the measurement result, the service quality of the voice service is supposed to be quite good over HSDPA system. In addition, another experiment to investigate the effect of degradation of wireless transmission conditions on the service quality of the voice service shows the values of wireless service metrics in which mean opinion score (MOS) starts to decrease.

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to offer a holism based Service Experience Analysis System(HSEAS) for service design. Background: Customer experience has been focused in a lot of service area. But it is difficult to understand the customer's needs and their experiences because it's so complex and uncertain. Thus it needs holistic approach that means it's difficult to explain general character merely through the understanding of small parts that composes an object and it must be analyzed within the overall context. Method: Accordingly, the thesis paper proposes the Service Experience Analysis System that satisfies the four following needs. (1) Need of solid Experience Framework in which the special quality of the service experience is considered, (2) need of support for the semantic cohesion between different kinds of data, (3) need of support for the management and search of vast data, and (4) need of building the knowledge base system for collaborative research. Results: HSEAS combines the short information in the customers' words and behaviors or situations and circumstances and provides a place of analysis where the context of the general experience can be read and allows concrete understanding of the actual state and factor of the problem as a Combined Data Analysis Tool. Conclusion: HSEAS becomes the center of information management, analysis and connection and it provides a free collaboration place where physical condition has no relations to as a knowledge base system based on network. Application: It is expected that length and width will be added to the analysis and assistance for effectively accumulating information will be provided in the area of diverse service.

A Study on the Performance Evaluation of C-ARS(Cooperative Automated Roadway System) in Infrastructure to Vehicle (I2V) Communication Based Service Scenario (인프라-차량(I2V) 통신 기반 서비스 시나리오에 따른 자율협력주행 도로시스템 성능평가 방안 연구)

  • The C-ARS(Cooperative Automated Roadway System) refers to a road infrastructure system that links automated vehicles with road infrastructure and communicates with each other via V2X communication to support automated vehicles. The purpose of this study is to suggest a performance evaluation method of C-ARS service. This study exemplifies the 'Work zone information service' among I2V service that provide information to automated vehicles in road infrastructure. First, we define the requirements and service scope needed to check the use case analysis and service performance of the service, and propose an evaluation system for performance evaluation of these services. In addition, the evaluation system was used to verify the feasibility of evaluation through the field test of 'Work zone information service'.
